Still interested, still not bored….a small request please 🙏…can we try to keep criticism to actions and behaviour and rather than getting personal.😁

I agree, it's awful for W (and C). Especially these last weeks since H&M have been back, every day has brought new drama, it's been relentless.
It's all very well the WRF keeping calm and carrying on, behaving with their normal dignity, but as well as the hurt re Diana and that book, the fact is they are knocked off the news and their work is undermined. Now there is more Andrew stuff too.
I am a royalist, I loved HMTLQ, I think on the whole they do a great job in a variety of ways. Charles is not perfect but he has been doing a pretty good job. W&C are a great team.
But the overall good impression of Royalty and the dignity of the crown is being undermined every day, and cheapened overall. I was thinking how, back in the day of Diana whilst not many days were Diana free days in the news cycle, back then there were just the newspapers, magazines and less frequently the TV news (mostly just BBC Royal correspondent and ITV). Plus a few books.
But now there is 24 hour news and so many YouTubers, tiktockers making a living out of their posts, plus a lot more authors with a book to sell, and all the usual news outlets. It's relentless. It must be so hard raising children within this situation.
I doubt W&C are the sort of people who spend much time on X or Instagram, I expect they probably still get actual paper newspapers (Times &/or Telegraph plus one or two others), not a day must go by but there's something, it's impossible for them to ignore as much as they must try to.
I was also thinking about Meghan and Malala - I've come to the conclusion she purposely chooses to dress in a way that she knows will stir up a response, maximising her news coverage of a public tea date. And it works. She dominates the news and I'm pretty sure in her twisted mind that's a win for her.

Whatever is going on with her/their security it seems she had a three car convoy for her trip to Claridges. It's ridiculous - are they going to carry on living like this, wherever they go, just a trip to that expensive farm shop, and there's a three car convoy? Clip from X (you can't actually see it's her, but I assume whoever filmed it had the right cars).

H&M are so deeply unpopular & their unpopularity is magnified now they are back in the UK.. all the spin in the world won't change public opinion. We all know what they did & there's no going back.
I sincerely hope William removes their titles once he is King.

I did google. The Telegraph and the Express are reporting similar https://www.express.co.uk/news/royal/2256016/prince-harry-booed-leicester-tigers-rugby

I do think H needs to understand he is no longer the cheeky chappy which it does appear the MIGS curated.
I'm not saying in the long term he couldn't rehabilitate himself , but I hope he is listening to a wider audience and deciding how to behave. (I can't remember who posted the meme - H asking for a wake up call and the chap on the phone says something like ,( of course , Everyone thinks you're a c*nt . )

That said being unpopular doesn't necessarily = Gov funded protection.

Meanwhile on the same day, different brother, different PR....

Do you think that part of Harry’s problem is that he can’t accept that his father is very happily married to Camilla after his disastrous marriage to Diana? Hence he has to keep desperately bringing Diana, his trauma etc up in order to keep his mother in the spotlight?
Just musing really….

I wonder if PH in another life could have done some insightful charity work around blended families (they are not bad- I am from one, it might be nice though for children to know that a prince has been through similar)

They have nice books in the library about life stages, life events, he could have made a genuine connection with the next generation on a shared experience- i know KC and QC didn't marry in PH childhood but he still has a stepmum iyswim

I don’t think it has anything to do with anyone else, he just needs the money and attention talking about his mother brings his way. The sad thing is, there is already Diana fatigue as a result of him and his uncle.

There is a 3 part documentary of Diana’s tapes coming out, Harry can use that to re-familiarise himself with the voice of his mother which he claims to have forgotten, despite all the videos of her speaking, and maybe look at a few videos and photos of one of the most photographed women in the world to remember how she looks.

He thinks everyone is as dumb as he is, someone else wrote that grief script for him, he just read it.

When is half term in England ? Just wondering/ hoping A and L are settled in school and maybe have some half term plans with friends . It’s not their fault their parents are idiots.

Term dates may vary 😅

In public (i.e. fee paying) schools they might break up at different times, for state schools give or take an additional date ("inset") it's usually the last week of Oct, so it's soon

His problem is that he's not the owner of the Duchy of Cornwall and not the heir to the throne.

As the thread title rightly suggests it's pure grief grifting. He was paid 100k dollars for that interview... surely he could donate his time for free if it's an issue so close to his heart..
Also these people that hire him or Meghan are seriously reducing the credibility of their causes given how unpopular & how transparent H&M are...

Harry was paid 'up to $100K' for coping with grief 'masterclass'

Harry gave a raw and emotional account of dealing with the death of his mother, Diana, as well as his struggles with depression and feelings of uselessness following Megxit.

It says “ up to “ $100000 so he didn’t necessarily receive as much as that .

I think also in the post-flounce years, the world is a different place. I can't speak for everyone (but I'm going to 😁) but we've been through:

a pandemic, the Queen and Prince Phillip died, KC3 and PoW have/ had cancer, we've had more prime ministers than Meghan has flower sprinkles, Trump is bloody well back, the planet is on fire and the economy is tanking while vast swathes of us can't fill a tank because it's around £2/L and inflation is outpacing growth. There's still a war in Europe and no one knows wtf is happening in other countries I won't talk about because it's too deraily for here.

So I think although 2018 isn't even a decade ago, it feels a helluva lot longer and the working royals have been so stoic and have (imho) kept morale going to the best they can, annnnnnnnd HaMz are going on flouncey-unflouncing-poor-meing and wondering why we aren't all queuing to adore them like the magi at the Nativity.

Ok. I'm off me soapbox now.

This is so true. I also think that generally people have less of a lightness and sense of humour in the world we are now in.
People's lives are tough and they can see for themselves what is happening, so there's less tolerant rolling of eyes and 'Oh, that Harry, he's off again;' and more 'For the love of God, shut up you entitled tosser!'
He cannot read a room. He has no understanding of people's day to day reality and - worse still - he really doesn't care. His world is all about his immediate family, his truth, their victimhood, how traumatic his life has been. He sees himself as a warrior for justice and that anyone be who isn't completely for him is against him.
There is absolutely no understanding or acceptance that they are deeply unpopular as a direct result of their own behaviour and choices. They want everyone to believe they're living their best life and are so free and happy, but every action says otherwise. They are a complete Folies a Deux.

fridaynightzzz · 10/10/2026 09:27

I’m starting to think of him as Charles Ratner, he slagged off his product (for Harry it’s the U.K.) and no wanted what he sold anymore.

Hes wearing a wig now, yes? But only sometimes. Embarrassing. Just shave your bloody head.

So what I am musing on is this.

£/$100k for us muggles is a LOT of money. Life changing.

But.

For a royal prince of England with a spendy life and wife, I wonder how much that actually does for the kind of financial mess I suspect HaM is in.

I've nailed my colours to the mast that the unMegxit has debt issues written all over it. I'm wondering if 100k for them will even touch the sides.

....She wore a necklace for the madvent calendar promo shots recently that was almost that much. I'm not saying she bought that bit of bling but I just think it's potentially an indication that her high-life approach might indicate the signs of needing income asap

Maybe maybe not (perhaps it's more than suggested) but either way he is still monotonising his grief which really isn't a good look.. he could give his time & "advice" for free especially considering he is not trained in grief counselling or management.

It really isn't a good look especially as H&M are trying to rehabilitate their image.

The cost of living is hitting everyone so I'd imagine that 100k isn't going to stretch too far given the lifestyle they expect to lead..
That 100k may pay for a term of A&Ls new school?

Also his "price" has lowered considerably so he is going to have to loads of these "masterclasses" to make up the deficit!

Perhaps KC3 is funding the grandhamlets education.

Even so with one in reception or pre-prep and one in ks1 it should "only" come to around £20k depending on the school

For a state school it'd probably be one week, varying by area but in a lot the last week of October. A fee paying school may take two weeks off, in which case it could be as soon as next weekend that that period starts. Personally I think it would be more confusing than helpful to whisk young kids back and forth between their previous and new homes, a very short time after the move, and with other disruption like school changes having happened. Much better to spend time doing child friendly activities in their new home - I'd be taking them to the local soft play, country park etc though of course SECURITY would be an issue 🙄

ChristmasHampered · 10/10/2026 09:39

Also petrol is very expensive rn. Filling five SUVs per school run is just going to be ruinous to one's budgeting 😁

Perhaps KC is funding the grandchildren education & fair enough many grandparents who have the means do help out with schooling costs.. however M&H have a very expensive lifestyle & surely if he didn't need the money he would do talks like his "grief masterclass for free"?

IMO, this trundling out of poor little boy lost his mommy is all part of rehabilitating his image. Public can't stay angry with me if they remember little Harry. Pretty soon, we will hear how Meg saved him and she must be adored too. Let's see it the public swallow it

In one of their programmes or interviews she said their fairytale was that she saved the prince instead of the other way around.
