Still interested, still not bored….a small request please 🙏…can we try to keep criticism to actions and behaviour and rather than getting personal.😁

How did he react?

I daresay he was kicking himself for not bringing M so that he could convince himself the boos were for her.

DaisyDooley · 09/10/2026 22:15

Ohhh dear.
I can’t deny I’m surprised that Harry was booed.
I expected it if they were spotted at some event together but not him on his own.
This dislike runs deeper than I thought. This isn’t a big high profile ‘England vXXXXX rugby match at Wembley. This is regular local people on a Friday night.
This is very very telling in my opinion.
I almost -almost- felt a tad sorry for him. Then l remembered what he has done to his family and the pity dissipated. .

The other thing I wanted to say is round about the time Diana died (give or take a few years) my friends Dad was murdered. She was 13/14 -no older than that- and he was murdered outside of their home in front of her and her mum.
She tried to stop it and was injured. Her Dad had tried to stop a car robbery.
Big local court case etc.
She went a bit off the rails for a few years. Her Mum wouldn’t move house so friend had to walk over pavement where her dad was brutally murdered every day. Anyway, friend had therapy, settled down and leads a happy normal life.
She never made a big thing about it.
Her dad’s death didn’t become her raison d’être.

She never made it the big thing in her life.
It happened, she’s not dead, she has not forgotten her dad and visits his grave but she has moved on. You have to . Acceptance is vital.
Harry has never accepted Diana’s death. He has made it the single thing that defines him ( and being a Prince, obvs 🙄)
He has pretty much made her death his burden to carry about and discuss at every possible moment. He never lets it -or her- go does he.
.He reminds me of someone with altzeimers who is constantly asking where his wife is. It’s as if he wakes every morning (or mourning) and it’s the first thing he thinks about - a sort of self prophesying Groundhog Day that he doesn’t want to leave.
I think he’s scared that if he accepts it and puts it firmly in the past where it belongs he will discover that he’s just a bit of an empty vessel.
And we all know Empty Vessels make the most noise.

ChristmasHampered · 09/10/2026 22:27

The thing is, grief is so personal and so individual - he clearly is still genuinely damaged by it and it is still genuinely damaging his life choices now. Even those of us who have lost parents young and had to keep going- we all deal with it to varying degrees of success at different times....like becoming a parent yourself brings it up to the surface again in a different way.

I'm not saying he's not a knob, he is. But even despite all the HaM word salad dramatic nonsense, it's evident from the kinds of mistakes he makes repeatedly and the scale he makes them on, that this is not something he's put to bed in any shape or form.

Him and her humblenesses milking for $$ and/or airtime is a different thing entirely. Montecito's flying circus.

I agree but I think it is absolutely the event that defined him. I don't think he knows who he is at all, much like Meghan . That's what they have in common. They are both empty vessels.

I imagine most of them can't stand Meghan either.

She acted really oddly.

I remember this article about her throwing tantrums and behaving oddly at couples' dinners and house parties with Harry's friends.

.... you can see why they didn't get on when Meghan behaved so strangely at casual dinners with friends as if they were PR/networking events

Perhaps this is the crux of the matter - Meghan only does transactional relationships where there is something in it for her!

https://archive.ph/qrUDv

A telling moment reveals just how much an entranced Harry was prepared to put up with. During a London dinner party in the early days of their relationship, friends told how Meghan ‘went berserk’ because she was not seated beside Harry, despite the British custom which dictates that couples should sit apart.
Harry is said to have simply shrugged off her behaviour – much to his friends’ chagrin.
‘She made quite a scene,’ said one source. ‘She wanted to sit next to Harry and felt offended she wasn’t sitting with him.
‘We looked to Harry for an explanation – he just said, “I know, but she’s so hot”.’
Further dinner party faux-pas followed, as Meghan is said to have treated social situations as if it were a Hollywood networking event.
Ahead of a casual dinner being hosted by Jack Mann, a polo-playing friend of Harry’s and an usher at their wedding, a source says Jack was astonished to receive a list of demands in advance.
‘Meghan wanted to know what designers the women would be wearing, what the seating plan would be, that kind of thing,’ the source said. ‘Jack was so gobsmacked he simply didn’t respond. It was a bizarre request to receive ahead of a relaxed occasion.’
When Jack decided not to respond to the email, another missive was issued.
‘In the second email it seemed Meghan was especially interested to know the names of the wives and girlfriends attending,’ the source added. ‘Again, Jack declined to tell her anything. This wasn’t a networking dinner for movie execs in the Hollywood Hills with George Clooney; it was wine and food with friends.
‘In the end they both turned up, but Meghan seemed miffed – and she left before the dinner.’

I did google. The Telegraph and the Express are reporting similar https://www.express.co.uk/news/royal/2256016/prince-harry-booed-leicester-tigers-rugby

I do think H needs to understand he is no longer the cheeky chappy which it does appear the MIGS curated.
I'm not saying in the long term he couldn't rehabilitate himself , but I hope he is listening to a wider audience and deciding how to behave. (I can't remember who posted the meme - H asking for a wake up call and the chap on the phone says something like ,( of course , Everyone thinks you're a c*nt . )

That said being unpopular doesn't necessarily = Gov funded protection.

This must be a PR photo from HAM's paid paps with AI help!

No problem at all! I'm not bashing anyone I'm discussing the inaccuracies & hypocrisy that both Harry & Meghan have created.
I personally feel they are as bad as each other.. I feel he ruined his grandparents final years with is wife & the public will not forgive or forget. I'm not bashing.

I was discussing Meghan's outfit with my very trendy daughter earlier who said a belt would have made a big difference to the outfit even just to cover over the top/waistband joining it would have broken up the outfit & made it look more "put together "

I know it’s a slight derail, but I just keep thinking of how horrible this all is for William. He lost his mum too and his only sibling has gone on to cause so much damage. For Catherine, too. The three of them did look like a pretty good unit years ago. How on earth they cope, whilst in the public eye, carrying out meaningful engagements, is pretty admirable. Yes, they have comfort and privileges beyond what most of us could imagine, but they are still human. I have a bit of experience of friction with a sibling’s spouse, am just grateful it’s not played out in public. I think the monarchy are expected to keep quiet and put up with stuff, but I definitely won’t judge William in future years if he continues to grey rock.

Back to HaM, I’m really struggling to understand how any credible organisations would want to recruit them to their cause. I think HaM could, possibly, find a way back, but it would take years of being quiet, privately helping charities etc, not moaning and being authentic. None of which is ever going to happen. And someone really needs to point out to them that, right now, the best thing they can do is to stop setting up pap shots.

With regards to half term, I’d think it would be better to stay here. Surely it’s going to be unfair/unsettling to go back to Cali for a break. The kids may get to see friends briefly, then dragged back here again. Would it not be better to wait until Xmas break? Who knows, maybe they will stay here for half term.

Choux · 10/10/2026 03:53

At least when the sibling relationship publicly faltered, William was already married with children and a strong set of in law relationships in the Middletons. He also seems to have a peaceful relationship with Camilla.

Imagine if all the HAM business had started when William was single and not getting on with Camilla and therefore also Charles. That would have been so much harder for him.

William has so many good and supportive relationships in his life. Harry has M (if you believe that is a good and supportive relationship). Oh and maybe his head of security but he is on the payroll so…

I agree, it's awful for W (and C). Especially these last weeks since H&M have been back, every day has brought new drama, it's been relentless.
It's all very well the WRF keeping calm and carrying on, behaving with their normal dignity, but as well as the hurt re Diana and that book, the fact is they are knocked off the news and their work is undermined. Now there is more Andrew stuff too.
I am a royalist, I loved HMTLQ, I think on the whole they do a great job in a variety of ways. Charles is not perfect but he has been doing a pretty good job. W&C are a great team.
But the overall good impression of Royalty and the dignity of the crown is being undermined every day, and cheapened overall. I was thinking how, back in the day of Diana whilst not many days were Diana free days in the news cycle, back then there were just the newspapers, magazines and less frequently the TV news (mostly just BBC Royal correspondent and ITV). Plus a few books.
But now there is 24 hour news and so many YouTubers, tiktockers making a living out of their posts, plus a lot more authors with a book to sell, and all the usual news outlets. It's relentless. It must be so hard raising children within this situation.
I doubt W&C are the sort of people who spend much time on X or Instagram, I expect they probably still get actual paper newspapers (Times &/or Telegraph plus one or two others), not a day must go by but there's something, it's impossible for them to ignore as much as they must try to.
I was also thinking about Meghan and Malala - I've come to the conclusion she purposely chooses to dress in a way that she knows will stir up a response, maximising her news coverage of a public tea date. And it works. She dominates the news and I'm pretty sure in her twisted mind that's a win for her.

Whatever is going on with her/their security it seems she had a three car convoy for her trip to Claridges. It's ridiculous - are they going to carry on living like this, wherever they go, just a trip to that expensive farm shop, and there's a three car convoy? Clip from X (you can't actually see it's her, but I assume whoever filmed it had the right cars).
