Just posting as Chelsy was in the Royal Family folds for many years.
What a beautiful family & life she has. Very happy for her. Her life looks so idyllic, what a handsome husband too!

Prince Harry's ex Chelsy Davy avoided marriage before meeting husband

In a candid post, the Zimbabwe-born socialite, who dated Harry on and off for seven years from 2004, says she was more committed to having fun than being a mother or in a meaningful relationship.

I don't think Archie and Lilibet will struggle to find info for their Family Tree, at least on their dad's side. The whole class will be studying it in history.

A bit awkward when they get to Aunt Catherine & Uncle William & their cousins. Will they have to explain to the class they dont speak to us because my parents sold nasty stories about them to the press & made millions of pounds!

...then go on to explain my parents don't actually speak to the Markle side because they sold stories to the press about said parents.

I thought the official line is that H & M struggle to make money, you keep reiterating how they have "made millions". Also, the Davy family are lovely because Spare says so but in all other ways Harry is not a reliable source?

Kingsandqueenz · 08/10/2026 20:49

Are you denying they made millions from Netflix, Spotify & Spare by selling stories about the Royal Family? It has been well documented how much they made in exchange from the royal family.

Harry said in Spare he really enjoyed the Davy's company when he visited their home Zimbabwe drinking gin & tonics until late at night. My point was that kind of in law family environment would be good for him. I genuinely think it's very sad he has never met his father in law.

Since you asked @Delphiniumandlupins they got 88 million from Netflix alone. Given the Daily Mails legal battle with H&M (which the DM won!) I'd imagine they didn't pull this figure out of thin air.

How much DID Harry and Meghan get paid for Netflix documentary?

Netflix reportedly paid £88 million ($100million) for Harry and Meghan's bombshell six-part docuseries as part of a multi-year deal with the streaming giant

Yes , she looks so happy & her jewellery line is beautiful.
I am also very happy she didn't marry into the royal family even though I feel she would have done an excellent job.

@Kingsandqueenz, respectfully, do you not know many families? Because I can assure you that feuds lasting decades, or in some cases till death, aren’t at all unusual. My MIL is one of 13 siblings, and there are at least two or three who haven’t been on speaking terms for many years. One off DH’s brothers has been estranged from the rest of the family for about 20 years. Plus I’ve been doing our family tree with my mother, and although we’ve only gone back to her grandparents, there are already two different sets of warring brothers, feuding over an accusation of stealing and over a farm, who were never reconciled during their lifetimes despite living close by, and whose children, as a result, never knew one another. It’s just a more high-profile version of a very familiar situation.

Kingsandqueenz · 09/10/2026 06:58

I know of many family fall outs & I know of some very sad fallouts that are irreparable. The problem here is Meghan cut her father off for doing the exact same thing herself & Harry have been doing for years, selling stories to the media

My point was upthread both @TheOvertGardener & @simpsonthecat said Meghan was correct in going no contact with Thomas Markle as he sold stories to the tabloids.

I quite rightly pointed out the hypocrisy that Meghan & Harry did the exact same thing to the Royal Family selling stories, giving interviews & making over 100 million (Spare 22m & Netflix 88 million) by selling vague, inaccurate & very nasty stories about King Charles, Camilla , Catherine & William.
Surely you can see the absolute hypocrisy?

They want to reconcile with the royal family after selling such awful stories about them but won't reconcile with Thomas Markle?

I mentioned you as you said Meghan was justified in cutting her father off as he had sold stories to the press therefore pointing out the hypocrisy!

I quite rightly pointed out that by your logic the royal family are absolutely within their rights to keep Harry & Meghan cut off from the family as Harry & Meghan sold countless interviews (not forgetting Spare!) about the royal family .
What's fair for Thomas Markle is fair for Harry & Meghan! I'm glad we agree & thank you for also pointing out & giving me another opportunity to point out the blatent hypocrisy!

You are hilarious for someone not interested in my thread you have posted countless times on this thread & keep coming back!!!

But the ‘problem’ with family estrangements and feuds is that they’re murky, and full of mixed motives, buried resentments, entrenched patterns of behaviour, and Judge Judy does not appear at the crucial point to rule about who’s right or wrong. And it’s never that simple anyway.

I do agree with you completely but when you decide to sell your family out to the world there really is a point of no return. The inner working of family is always complicated & skilled diplomacy is needed in some cases regardless of the status.

If things had happened behind closed doors & Harry & Meghan had left quietly the optics & public feeling would be completely different.
And it's the hypocrisy of cutting out the Markles after they sold stories but Harry & Meghan did the exact same only a whole lot worse & for over 100 million & are now seeking a reconciliation?

My great-uncles on my father’s side fought on opposite sides in a bloody civil war and reconciled later. I can assure you that being interviewed by Oprah doesn’t objectively constitute anything like a ‘point of no return’.

Kingsandqueenz · 09/10/2026 09:35

I think where William, Catherine & Camilla are concerned it will be very difficult to forgive the story selling especially as "recollection may vary ". How can they ever trust Harry & Meghan again after the trust was broken & for an awful lot of money?

How can Meghan not forgive the Markles for doing the exact same as she did (selling stories) yet she expects forgiveness from the royals?

It is impossible for them to rehabilitate their image after actions & behaviour.

They both said that Meghan was right to cut off Thomas Markle for selling stories to the press. So by their reckoning it is also completely understandable for the royal family to not reconcile with Harry & Meghan because they did the exact same as the Markles to the royal family on a much larger scale & for much more money.
