I have a friend of a friend who every now and then goes to Claridges for afternoon tea with a group of female friends (not close, but they like to go to these kinds of places). None of them is originally from the UK. They can just about afford it occasionally and the only reason they go is so they can be seen, maybe meet some rich men, be able to talk about it afterwards. Afternoon tea at Claridge's is a tourist version of London.

Good grief, is there no end to the people she curates to be photographed with in the hope that some of their credibility rubs off on her?

That outfit is absolutely hideous. A new low. Everything looks far, far too big for her. The fashion designers must be horrified to have their clothes on display like this. Malala looks lovely in her outfit. I think Malala looks a bit uncomfortable with the hug...she is holding her arm to her side and not returning the embrace.

And the bag is like a bag for life from a cheap supermarket.. I am shocked her outfit is worth tens of thousands. I'd sent it all straight to the charity shop.
