Do you believe Charles Spencer that Charles Windsor said to him during a phone call "we'll forget her soon enough."

He was IN the Navy but I think you mean NAVEL gazing.

I prefer looking at sailors, to be fair.

He did. Do you find what he said hard to grasp?

He said in so many words 'recollections can vary'

He could have said 'You are a lying bastard'.

You've chosen to interpret his words as being guilty.
That's your choice.

Charles the king did not say I didn't say that. What he actually said was Charles Spencer was so crazy with grief his memory and reasoning are affected.

You could claim that was true, although I think it's just a palace variation of They're crazy. But it still doesn't mean the king didn't say what is being alleged.

I believe the king did say those things. If he hasn't he would simply have said with every respect at no point did I say what is being alleged by Charles Spencer.

Ah, so this is a lie - it's all online- but everything CS says it true?

Do you have a direct line to the Spencers?

Or are you being selective with what you regard as THE TRUTH.

Lilac has form for that! 🤣

OneLilacHedgehog · 20/09/2026 15:10

Yeah insults again. I know when you start down that road it's because I am telling the truth and you know it.

Why not just be honest and admit you choose to believe his allegations because you want to?

Clearly you live your life by faith alone. I prefer to weigh the evidence and take into account: bias, what might be in it for the writer, what kind of character is the writer etc.

But you do you.

He did. In a diplomatic way.

He did not say Spencer was 'crazy.' You're using very emotive language, slightly twisting the reality to suit your argument.

What you seem to be struggling with is Royal protocol.
The Queen said 'never explain, never complain' and stuck to it.

It is relatively unknown for the RF to enter into public arguments. They know it's never going to end well, as it's all becomes 'she said, he said, blah blah.'

And in the past saying little usually means things blow over.

What you seem to be missing is that by hitting back, Charles was most definitely refuting the claims but he was not going to get into a pantomime exchange - 'I didn't say that' - 'Oh yes you did.'

Because once you start that it never ends. More accusations follow and you find yourself having to defend every one.

How many times is this lie going to be repeated? I think about every twenty minutes so far.

He refused to allow her stay on the Althorp estate and offered to rent her a property elsewhere.

Not exactly indicative of a loving brotherly relationship.

He wrote some very cruel letters to her as well. The loving brother act started right after she died.

You miss out Charlie's as a dad and putting his son's first .
He also seems intrinsically naval gazing and feels sorry for himself.

Anyway ...it's going to get worse and i think Charles has made himself look stupid by saying it wasn't true.

What this mean is in reference to coffees post that whilst that poster mentions some of Charles w weaker points they don't mention Charles as dad.
Does Charles put his son's first ? I find him very NAVEL gazing ie he looks to himself not others.
We see the off the scale entitlement and arrogance of andrew and he was never going to be king.
Charles def seems to have more emotional intelligence than Andrew and he seems like a warmer kinder man but when it comes to Charles Charles puts himself first.

Charles has issues a rebuff to Charles S saying basically cs was riddled with grief and didn't know what was going on however now a flood of more stuff is coming out he's Charles W is going to look very silly.

damnatiomemoriae · 20/09/2026 15:17

What he actually said was Charles Spencer was so crazy with grief his memory and reasoning are affected.

When did he say crazy? Because he didn’t.

What he actually said was

"While we do not comment on books as a matter of principle, His Majesty is mindful that the pain of fraternal grief can cloud reason, affect judgment and colour memory in ways others do not recognise, even many years after such a loss," it said.”

I am paying as much attention to your recollection as I am to CS.

Charles Spencer seemed sharp to me.

So the initial strategy was to claim he was crazy with grief. Now it's to claim he has brain damage.

Why does the king not simply say he didn't say that? Presumably because he did.

No--YOU said he was crazy with grief. YOU. No one else.

At least TRY to get your story straight, though it must be hard to support someone like Charles Spencer.

He seems like the type to follow Andrew Tate, especially since he treats women so poorly.

Your posts are very hard to understand. Some full stops might help.

I am not sure how Charles as a father is something you know about personally to make these calls.

The "lawyer" is just making it up as she goes along.

She's not worried about facts getting in the way of her prevarications.

Noodledog · 20/09/2026 15:24

And of course it was CS who introduced Diana to Martin Bashir, the man who - in the pursuit of a good interview- fabricated evidence and fake letters to manipulate Diana's already fragile mental health. The paranoia that Bashir deliberately encouraged was the main reason Diana refused official security and ended up in the car of a speeding drunk driver.

I would have thought that would cause CS a hell of a lot of personal guilt, but it doesn't seem to have done. Which is another indication of his character IMO.

I said the kings statement said Charles Spencer was crazy with grief.
It's the usual palace playbook. And royal detractors are crazy.

He called her a manipulator, returned a letter she sent him back unopened and was mostly estranged from her for the last 15 years of her life (his words).

He was a lousy brother, until it behooved him financially to GAFF about her. Sadly, that was after her death.
