Harry has been very clever in regards to invictus ( yes, yes , I know Harry and clever in the same sentence!) , ever since he decamped on his freedom flight, the narrative became “founder” , he has claimed full ownership of the inception and creation of the games , so successful has he been that it is accepted as fact it’s “Harry’s” games now ! , nobody apparently remembers the fact that it wasn’t! , why is this clever? Because as the founder, creator and sole face of invictus, it’s extremely difficult to get rid of him , for many Harry is the invictus games , without him it’s doubtful it would continue.

Well today puts it all into perspective...

William is in Oslo as the King in waiting - statesmanlike as he networks with World leaders on the international stage ...

Harry is throwing (public) toddler tantrums, briefing tabloids and starting Twitter wars....

As with regards to funding let’s not forget the billionaire Ian Wace is supposedly funding this move to the UK, the interesting question is why? What’s in it for him?

Are we any further forward on why the Diana gala night was cancelled?

I’m so confused by all of this. I thought part of the reason they left the UK was because they did not want to be in the public spotlight and wanted to live privately as a family but now they are upset that KC3’s letter referred to them as private citizens.

I looked up the video of her leading the veterans March and it was worse than I expected. What was she thinking?

There was never one scheduled. It was a Twitter rumour.

No but if rumours are to be believed Harry pulled a sentable and phoned the chap in charge to ask them to put out a statement to say it had nothing to do with Meghan!!! , if true it signals two things…one Harry hasn’t learnt at all …two it’s probably true that it was because of Meghan! 🤷‍♀️

No, they SAID they wanted privacy. What they actually wanted was not to have to get up early on a rainy Thursday to go and open a community centre in Swindon, with a schedule of similar engagements stretching ahead of them indefinitely, but still to have all the sparkly bits, the money, the access to the royal estate, the armed protection, etc. And because they are ASTONISHINGLY stupid, it has taken this long for the penny to drop that what QEII told them - you're either in or you're out - was actually their reality.

Basically they wanted the baubles but not the grind.

Oddly that was my thought and my PE has just landed on the mat, be interesting if they pick up on it in a couple of weeks.

I think that BP should be the focal point for dealing with HAM but no doubt Charles and William are acting together. I don't think W&C should acknowledge HAM publicly - HAM are totally desperate for some sort of engagement from W&C ... I think it drives them crazy that they are just ignored.

I think what is happening shows the limits of HAM's gunboat diplomacy strategy. They thought that the 47 minute tea was a sign of weakness from KC and they could just announce their move to the UK with no notice while KC was on holiday, roll up in the Cotswolds (handy for Soho Farmhouse) and impose HI-HO on the RF. But as Putin discovered - merely rolling some tanks into downtown Kyiv does not mean you've won the war. HAM thought if they just ignored the last 7 years BP would give way - but instead the Sandringham agreement has been publicly reinforced!

Wow, so much drama. And it proves the points made over many threads that Invictus has been foolishly allowed by HM Government to creep into the territory of 'political liability', just to satisfy the ego of a once-royal patron with Founder's Syndrome and an avaricious spouse.

It's ridiculous that the Ugandan military, handed in 2024 to the Ugandan President's allegedly unstable son (also a presidential candidate and anti-free press authoritarian), was ever invited to join Invictus for Birmingham 2027. Was it about the $$$? Hmmm. Yes.

Further, shouldn't Invictus by now have sorted out the slight issue of the presumed attendance of the Israeli IDF and armed Shin Bet security personnel on UK civilian soil? And just who the fuck is liasing with the Foreign Ofice, because guess what guys, HaM super-stan Yvette Cooper isn't there any more and her replacement is busy imposing sanctions on behalf of the UK.

And also, the UK government money for Invictus is matchfunding, not outright grant. I hope the Ingriftus grubby mitts are being slapped back from thinking it's an ATM.
