Someone posted on the previous thread about the LL's. - they act as representatives in localities. I liaise with ours over nominations/awards etc

In those 'blind items' Harry is always referred to as 'the ginger haired cuck'...what is that? Is it short for cuckold? Is there an implication that there are 'three in the marriage '?!

I disappear to finish making dinner, eat it, clear up, put the hedgehog food out, weewee the Labrador - and I’ve missed the start of the new thread by 5 bloody pages! No wave for me!
Anyway, saw this when I popped over to twitter and through it was rather nice.
I quite like to think that all of the royals I really like sat round a table at Balmoral with a few bottles, kids in bed, and prepared that statement.
I certainly think it had a few royal fingers in it!

The reference to the letter being sent to H&M's office "on Tuesday" must've been a mistake by The Times - because the article now says:
"In the letter, which was released to the public by the palace on the same day that it was sent to Harry and Meghan’s office.."
So they didn't get a heads up at all!

Interesting that this statement was issued after Andy Burnham's visit to Balmoral. I wonder if the letter/s to the Home Secretary have backfired.

Ah that is interesting! I was confused as well. It was the BBC that said that palace “sources” said that the letter was made public to avoid it being leaked - not the Times. That mention of leaking still seems like an extra rap on the knuckles though 😆😆

I wonder if the letter being sent to senior military advisors and government is laying invinctus solely with h to raise the funds and it has no royal backing. I think it also slaps down any twat behaviour for remembrance day, h already knows no position for him to be at cenotaph. Hmtlq stripped him of any military titles and this bangs it home making any other show boating on or around the day difficult for him obviously he is going to turn up somewhere and possibly cause a scene.

I am with @MrsLeonFarrell and @AlwaysRightISwear in being very uncomfortable with the blind items being referenced with the same seriousness as reported facts.

These rumours have been about TwiX and other parts of the internet for years, along with other unsavoury conspiracy theories about the Sussexes (and other RF members). They are usually avoided on MNet.

If would have been a very good opportunity to remove them from the royal website at the same time as this statement, two birds with one stone, IIRC correctly on the website it says they live overseas so it will need to be updated……🤔 will be watching with interest.

Yes, I was just thinking the same. A good opportunity for a ‘tidy up’ of the RF website.
