I don’t disagree with your post, but sadly it’s fairly obvious which school this is. Given how easily identifiable the school is from the information provided, the school really should have invested more in polishing its website. From a security and safeguarding perspective, I don’t think it’s ideal to have staff members’ names so publicised with incoming royal offspring.

As a pp pointed out, interestingly the website doesn’t reflect much sense of diversity, which is unusual these days. If my kid was at this school I would be now very unhappy if any identifying photos of them were on that website as anyone and their curious cousin will be googling it.

HAM need to be really careful themselves with what they put out about the children, whether that be instagram or anything else which hints at anything to do with them.
And therein lies the problem.

I don't think it's fair to say the school should have invested in changing their website so it wasn't identifiable.

They're on holiday now and wouldn't have know what was going to be put out there, and it's probably a third party managing the website.

And I will be astonished if we don't get first day photos which give away which school anyway.

I suspect HAM wanted to give information that would leak the school, so if the school had immediately leapt on the website and changed it, firstly it would almost certainly have been too late for many people but also HAM would have found another way of making it obvious.

I went to a posh private (as in paid-for) all-girls' school in Australia. If you went to school on a Saturday it meant you had detention. "Saturday Detention" was a big punishment and wearing the school uniform was public shaming.

Not that I ever did.

Thanks for the new thread.

To be honest if I was a parent at this school I’d be wanting to know what the school was wanting to do protect my child.

Our school took a measure (many years ago) that the parents didn’t agree with. The school forgot that parents speak. And pay fees.

Individually they fobbed us off. Then the joint year group email was sent. Then from another year group, then another. They had to rethink.

So it depends keep one parent happy or keep several parents happy?

. Why on earth do the children at the school need protecting? Children of the rich, famous and infamous go to school perfectly safely all over Britain every day. Photographers don't hang around outside schools, you've been listening to HaM too much.
I'd be disgruntled that my children would be mixing with children whose parents have shown themselves to be deeply unpleasant, but, again, the children of unpleasant people have always lived among us.

When have they said this about Archie? If true, poor child. It must be hard growing up in that household.

H said in an interview Archie cries when he goes to work, cries when he comes home and cries if h is anxious. I would say that is a very emotional child.

For someone you've decided is broke, Harry seems to have a lot of resources available to him.

Not his own resources though, as you so declared with such conviction only to be proved wrong by Harry’s own personal mouthpiece Page 6, you can keep protesting as much as you like and convince yourself that Harry is the next Bezos, whatever makes you happy 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes, absolutely his own resources, he can pay for himself. But, the benefits of being rich are that you know all sorts of other rich people and companies are always falling over themselves to give you freebies. William has loads of money and can afford to rent a yacht himself, but there is still speculation that he and the family take their holidays on a yacht owned by an uber-rich Gulf sheikh. It's not that they can't afford very nice things, but if people with much nicer things are willing to let you use them and there are no ethical issues or conflicts of interest, then why not make use of them?

In any case, I was only speculating in response to unsubstantiated claims (from "sources" that know nothing) that Harry is being assisted in his move by a billionaire. This theoretical assistance is a bonus, it's not essential, it's not needed for them to move back to the UK.

For the record, I absolutely believe that Harry can pay everything for himself. He isn't broke, he isn't struggling, he is doing very well.

That does sound concerning. He doesn't go to work though as he hasn't got a job.

The school situation poses another problem for me.

They have (in my opinion rightly) kept their children’s identities under wraps.

So does that now put every other red head boy/blonde haired girl under more scrutiny than their classmates?

They shared those photos at Disneyland where Archie hid behind a pillar, he did look anxious, or maybe he's very shy.

It will take Archie some time to settle into prep school year 3 after growing up in Cali, without ever having experienced of the English education. I went to private school in another country but found the English approach at infant school quite strict and disciplined. So what this prep school calls child centred will still be quite regimented and stifling compared with the free range upbringing Sussex kid will have had. Lili is younger and it might be easier for her. The sudden arrival of 2 royal children in a small rural prep school is going to be quite the change for existing families. I'd not love this for mine.

Rural British prep schools are wonderful, in my recent experience. Archie will have a great time. Plenty of freedom to discover what he enjoys. British-standard prep schools abroad follow an old fashioned, much stricter model. Child-focused prep schools in southern England are wonderful places. (In my experience.)

Maybe the next time he drives along a street and sees a bin van, or a traffic warden, or people waiting for a bus he can be confident that their hard earned tax money is paying for his security. 😡

I genuinely think that, if he were asked about this, he would say that he can't help having been born into his position and it's the institution that has put him in potential danger because of who he is. As a British citizen he has a right to protection etc etc.
He simply cannot compute that other people have to pay for that and, because it's provided for others (as a rather uneasy truce because they at least give something back to the nation and they really don't have the liberties he's had), he naturally wants it too. Demands it even. He's literally uprooted his family and his life in California because he can't bear to lose.
He's an utterly clueless, charmless, selfish, deluded prick, still clearly living off handouts whilst snidily biting the original hands that fed him, i.e. the RF and the British people.

The new kids will be introduced to the class by their names..? No one will be wondering if the new ginger boy is Archie or if it's maybe Tommy from Rose Cottage down the lane.

That has been worrying me. According to hams archie is very emotional, cries a lot and very sensitive, hardly a rugby playing youngster. Some kids that play rugby can be brutal, my brother was very violent and even terrified the lads in his own team. So a sensitive kid will be hammered, poor lad.

At the more competitive end they encourage weight building and general beefy burliness too.
Not sure he’s going to be built for it.

ShamedBySiri · Yesterday 09:07

Thanks for the new thread. Busy day yesterday taking ferry to France for a week. I have packed books and promised myself an internet detox.
Then I log into hotel WiFi and here we are on another thread X going mad that Ian Wace of NDA island seems to be opening his pockets to them.
If I manage a week away how many threads will I miss?

I'm surprised their photos were not leaked in the USA, especially as they walked around Disney. One of the busiest places and yet no photos seen by member of the public??

They probably had the place to themselves at enormous expense .

That isn’t what I meant.

With all your experience of schools as you’ve said, of course children are introduced when they join a class. That is obvious to most with or without experience of English (or any other country’s) schools.

Someone looking to get a quick picture (not necessarily from the British Press) will not know the difference from Archie, Tommy or Freddie.

As for having a great time at school? You don’t know that - it may have been your experience but there will be children who are seemingly cripplingly shy and somewhat isolated from ‘normal’ life who will be overwhelmed and find school a trial. Especially one thousands of miles away from any friends he might have made and one who is markedly different to other kids.

His parents are regarded as objects of ridicule. School is likely to be difficult in many ways. Shy or not.

Quite.

I doubt they’ve ever mingled.

Cars4Gov · Yesterday 09:32

He doesn’t know about ‘stuff’ in order for people to pay him mega bucks to speak and what else can he possibly do? What skill set does he have that people will pay for?

Many Ex Army officers are able to command fees for speaking about leading teams, because they study at Sandhurst, which is seen as the World's leading military academy. However this isn't open to Harry because he only achieved the rank of Captain. Basically the lowest rank you can get for time served. Higher ranks have to be earned through experience, recommendations and exam results. It's telling that he couldn't proceed.

Harry had the best gig ever prior to leaving the UK. All he had to do was turn up at events, be smiley, not controversial, accept he was not numero 1, enjoy the status and privilege. Unfortunately he is/was too arrogant to see that this was an amazing life for someone of his limited talents and intellect.

Great points. He had phenomenal opportunities. Living a privileged life. He and Meghan were given Presidency of the Commonwealth Trust, what an honour and a privilege, what an amazing opportunity.
He was made Captain General of the Royal Marines, a post previously held by Prince Philip.
Threw it away.

You do wonder what children hear when in school. I was wondering how much the Wales children know about their Uncle Harry. The elder two are of an age where they could hear certain things being said at school especially now. Do they know they have cousins? I would imagine the situation has been explained to them at an age appropriate level.
