Charles doesn't even need to help them financially with anything. They can afford to pay for the kids' school fees, the move from the US, the house in the US, the house in the UK themselves. The very substantial chunk of money Harry inherited from his mother 30 years ago was invested for him and is probably worth several tens of millions now. Then there's what he apparently inherited from the Queen Mum. Having to pay ANL's lawyers will make him wince slightly (just because it's such a large amount), but he will still have plenty left over.

I agree Charles isn't a pushover, and that's what's infuriated Harry.

I think you are vastly overestimating Harry’s worth.
Diana got £17 million in her divorce -a year later she was dead but hadn’t changed her will after she got the settlement. The £17 million was reduced to £10 million after IHT.
That was split between them.
If £5 million was invested until March 2020 without drawing anything from it and assuming a mid range 7% annual return (neither ‘safe’ or ‘reckless’) remembering we had a bank crash in 2009(? Or was it 8?) it would be worth £20.4 million by 2020. So not several tens of millions.
The Queen Mothers trust had quite a few beneficiaries -her estate was mainly made up of jewellry &a Monet -so the capital she had put in wasn’t huge -she famously had an overdraft which was paid off by her daughter every year,

He will (IMHO) have been worth maybe £30 million. Nothing really in the circles he rubbed shoulders in, but because he had never had to (or would have had to) worry about a home, or bills (his dad paid everything from the Duchy of Cornwall) and he got an allowance why would he worry what he was actually worth? The pot was always there and he thought it always would be,
If he and his wife had been more amenable and less jealous they would have been living in apartment 1 in KP with a nice place in the country for weekends. All bills, staff, travel, clothes for work, school fees for children would have been paid by duchy of Cornwall then Lancaster, HIS money would have paid for cars, holidays etc - but he would still likely have got an allowance for ‘spends’.
He never eve4 anticipated or had been brought up to worry about money.
Just like he wasn’t bothered by living in Nottingham Cottage.
It wasn’t till he met Meghan who was quite happy to tell him how hard done by he was that things went Pete Tong.
They had to get a large mortgage on Montecito house so one can only assume the same would be applied to his house here, I very much doubt he’s got £14million available to buy a house outright - the Montecito years have been hellishly expensive and running that house, staff, travel, security, taxes on earnings and and and will have sucked dry anything he got from ‘Spare’ and whatever Netflix/Spotify actually paid them for the (very little) output.

He’s not ‘skint’ by normal standards but by Meghans expectations he’s dirt poor.

The HAMs have threatened to sue Tom Sykes.

They threatened to sue over the allegation Harry punched Andrew Windsor. Never came to anything.

Hope he does sue. Another circus, another loss and he'll bugger off somewhere else

Has Harry paid the £9.5 million first instalment that he owes ANL with his other co-claimants yet?

For anyone who watches Palace Confidential on YouTube, Rebecca English on today's episode is very clear that the BP press office people have told her that the King definitely did not know that the Sussexes were coming back until Sunday.
It's about 7 minutes in

The first 5 minutes or so are good in describing how the Sussex briefings have gone over the past week.

I haven't watched the rest of the episode yet, but thought people might be interested in those bits.

It’s interesting that all contributors are saying that the King absolutely was blindsided and Project Thaw is a fantasy. It seems BP is not thrilled with their return but is powerless to stop it.

This is true, but holding tea parties at Highgrove is sending mixed messages.

Easy now -it’s not cut off till 4pm tomorrow. ,!!
It will HAVE to be paid by then ,
Remember, they are all equally liable for some or all of the initial £9.5 million.

HAM just have to create drama and let the paps know where to go ....

They LOVE a big private jet and a security motorcade to show everyone they have arrived and that they are very, very important 🙄🙄🙄

As long as they paid for it themselves

Even you give as a "low" estimate that Harry could have been worth £30 million - which is not a small sum of money and enough to do all those things! I suspect he has people looking after his money who can get more than 7% a year in the most tax efficient way, and the market has been making nearer 20% and more in the past few years. He also has about half of Diana's jewellery collection as well as the valuables he received from the Queen Mum, which he can use, e.g. as collateral for a mortgage. Add in what they get from his and Meg's assorted activities, and of course they can pay for the kids' schools, the house in the US, a house in the UK, etc. with no need to ask dad for anything.

Yes, the green ink fountain poisin pen ' ' disgusted of ' :)

They can pay for their own security too, if they think they need it. They dont, M just wants to look important. No decent career close protection officer is going to work for them. Imagine how your mates would tease you!

The three cars is so over the top and unnecessary. They managed fine without that in July...it is just attention seeking behaviour. I've followed along with all these threads but am getting bored of them now.

Are they going to make this their occupation instead of looking for a proper job?

I didn't realize that 'vexatious' litigant' was a career choice! Too bad they don't seem to be very good at it.
