No, but it's possible over a very long period of time - just look at the rehabilitation of Camilla.

Two totally different women. With different sets of qualities.
Meghan loves the limelight. Camilla does not.
Meghan could not play a long game if she tried. It just is not in her nature. She is a showgirl.

I think this is more to do with the children and establishing their future. The two children are currently in no man's land with titles in a country that have little meaning but removes their ability of a normal life. I can see HAM wanting their children to spend sometime as working royals or at least have the option to. It's not just about wealth it's about generational wealth and I can not see them having enough for their children to live a life with the expectations that come as a prince and princess. They should have followed Anne's example. As for the media, they are the media.

I agree with this. They must be watching the lifestyle & perks the Wales kids have (& how much they are adored) & feel there kids are entitled to that level of privilege too.

Camilla never gave her version of events, so had nothing to row back.

She didn't seek an audience or voice. She took on causes that she had a connection to, and turned up quietly and consistently.

If H&M do that, in 15-20 years they may he back in. Although i suspect the attacks on the RF in general, the Commonwealth (Empire 2.0), claims of racism and individual attacks will never quite go away.

They need to be accepted by the public. I can’t see the type of people who typically turn up to royal events being accepting of M.

They'd need to be fully accepted and trusted by Charles & William first. If that happens anything can happen.

William probably doesn't trust H or really want him working for him or representing him.
However, Charles is getting older, as is Camilla & Ann. Sophie and Ed are also in their 60s.

William is a kind of lonely figure in his generation. He is going to need support and he knows it.

He probably won't want any of his kids starting as a full-time working royal at 18 so its over the next 15 years he is going to need help, from his generation.
For a long time I've thought Peter & Zara might be asked to step up. That could still happen.

I don't see Meghan ever making it as a working Royal, they could rehabilitate Harry's image but not hers

Ok being fair to H, you can't say he didn't offer support. He did rock up to visit Dad for a whole 20mins before Dad said Goodbye I'm off to my country house.

More likely W&K and C&C wanted things kept private, and really didn't trust rent-a-mouth to do that.
So best way to keep things private was to make sure H&M were kept at arms lenght.

After everything that's happened I'm sure parents at the school gates will keep them at arms length too.
Families with kids at very expensive schools keep their circles & their kids circles very small, they will be wary as fuck of HAM

Monty36 · 20/08/2026 11:34

Meghan insulted Charles and Catherine. Harry was not at that part of the Oprah interview.
It later turned out to be those she was accusing of being racist.
William will not forgive her for that. Nor the stress it brought to Catherine. And his father. Not forgetting the late queen and his grandfather.

International bases!
They are so full of themselves 🤣

That’ll be her on an iphone in Portugal.

PlumCat23 · 20/08/2026 11:26

But why would KC want Harry back?

Harry is his son. I’d want my son back whatever he’d done. Private feelings I get. Public reintegration I struggle with.

Monty36 · 20/08/2026 11:22

They have a house in the US, will have one here, and they have one in Portugal. I don’t know if anywhere else.

For now they do.

The 15 year age gap between Charles and Edward is going to be pretty vital for William in terms of bridging between when his father and Anne (and Camilla, but Charles and Anne do the bulk) have to step back but his kids are doing uni/military stuff.

JSMill · 20/08/2026 11:44

Catherine, Sophie and Camilla are all
women who do not seek the limelight. They are there to support their husbands. They have spent years supporting causes they genuinely believe in, with little fanfare. As a result they are rock solid members of the RF. M completely lacks these qualities. She has shown she has no patience to invest time and effort for long term gain. I feel sorry for the loyal members of the family who may be asked to suck it up and be nice to her. I think it would a terrible idea to have them do the Sandringham church walk. Those people are fervent monarchists.

PlumCat23 · 20/08/2026 11:44

Benjithedog · 20/08/2026 11:41

For now they do.

But KC knows the anger & resentment rightly felt by W&C won't go away..
I'd imagine she'll want L&A outshining the Wales kids wherever possible & will want her kids having the same place in society as them.. entitlement!

Newname26 · 20/08/2026 11:46

PlumCat23 · 20/08/2026 11:26

But why would KC want Harry back?

  1. Hes his son and father to his DGC.
  1. When Charles goes, William could be in a very lonely position. His kids too young to be involved, Charles generation too old to be involved.

The biggest issue is trust. Which has been well and truly demolished.
Note there hasn't been much else said from H or M since the book of disasters.

Yes, when you think about it, there are no royals in their 20s at the moment who might have been support for William when the time comes. I hope Edward and Sophie are able to be there for him, and there's always the dark horse of the generation, Lady Louise, who may yet want to play a more significant role.

All edited FGS . Have you really watched all this? Don’t you have a real life? When you can say you have met her face to face then I might be interested

Don’t be ridiculous. She said whole sentence as did he that were recorded. They said what they said, deal with it

JustAnotherWhinger · 20/08/2026 11:50

Baital · 20/08/2026 10:30

But they don't have the option to be working royals. They never had. Andrew wanted his daughters to be working royals when they reached adulthood and it was turned down - that's 15? 20? years ago. Because they are children of a younger sibling, they have no role.

Archie and Lili are the Beatrice and Eugenie of their generation. With the added disadvantage (in RF terms) of their parents trying to do a hatchet job on the RF in general and KC3 and William in particular.

I think had things been different then they may have been working royals. At least part time.

Charles made clear he didn’t think Andrew’s children were needed as working royals, but at the time those discussions happened he had 3 siblings expected to be working royals plus Diana was around , Sarah Ferguson was expected to be a working royal, as would Edwards then-future wife. He had that back up along with the Kents abs Gloucesters. He didn’t think he needed extras in the younger generation as he had plenty.

Whereas William is in a different position, especially around the time Harry was getting married and the issues of Andrew were starting to grow. William is considerably shorter in numbers than his father, and shorter than he expected to be. Had Harry and Megan been reliable working royals I think we might have seen their kids do odd royal jobs as they hit adulthood just to take the weight off the wales kids a bit.

no chance of that now.

I rather suspect like his mother Charles will keep going until he is nearly at the end. Anne too. I cannot see either stepping back as such.

Unlikely that Louise would be asked before Zara or Peter.
Yes she's technically higher up the pecking order but Zara and Peter are both more Williams peers although they are all cousins

Agree

Monty36 · 20/08/2026 11:54

Anyone who sniffed at St George’s chapel to get married in and moaned about it being smelly ( it isn’t ), is ignorant and rude with it.

Viviennemary · 20/08/2026 10:40

They're back to promote themselves and their children. It was, it is and always will be all about them. It'll be nothing but trouble from this day onwards. She creates havoc and discord wherever she goes. They won't be keeping a low profile. They will try to set up their kids as the new royal stars.

I agree.
I believe most of the country welcomed Meghan into the Royal Family (she could have been brilliant working with Harry) and everything was positive but she can’t hide her dysfunctional personality.
She could start an argument in an empty room.
Her Dad was left out to dry in the lead up to the wedding (Harry has still never met him!!!) and so was taken advantage of by unscrupulous press - then despite 30 odd years of supporting her he was cut out of her life without a backward glance.
Sad to say she is a huge problem for Harry and the RF.

I actually think Louise would be more likely.

Especially if discussions are happening now, or have already happened. That would be giving her the choice before she establishes herself into a career post-uni and building her life knowing what’s going to happen.

Zara and Peter already have very established lives and have talked about being relieved about not having full on royal roles. I don’t think they’d want the extra scrutiny.

So you think that an interview that H&M sought (with Oprah) their Netflix series and all the other HAM led publicity materials/'work' that @Serenster listed have been edited to their detriment?
