The celebitchy lot are (mostly) very naive aren't they.

Even Megan is better off having a UK base if the couple ever separate. (And I speak as someone who wanted H&M to work out and bought her cookbook, but it's turned into a shitshow).

Her cookbook? Do you mean the Grenfell kitchen book? I wouldn’t describe it as ‘hers’

DozyCrow · 20/08/2026 07:36

It certainly raises lots of questions. Only last month Harry was having tantrums about the family joining him for a short visit due to safety concerns, now it's apparently ok to move back here.

DM says they're retaining the Montecito mansion, but I can't imagine for long, especially if tomorrow's judgement goes against H.

My take is that, in addition to visa and money worries, H realises he needs to get back in with the King - and potentially the wider family - while Charles is still alive, because once HMtK is gone, it'll be too late. Also, he's probably well aware of what William may do if he doesn't integrate now. He won't want to lose any more titles or those of his children.

I can't believe the discussions about getting A&L in to UK schools began since Sunday though (when King found out the plans), so wonder why the news never got back to him in some capacity when Ham began making their enquiries? Likewise with the property. That must have begun weeks ago, surely?

FourThingsAndALizard · 20/08/2026 07:38

I wonder if Archie might be going to Ludgrove (Harry’s old school) Hope not, as one of my favourite walks is on a public footpath path that runs between the school and their sports field, and it will probably be closed if he’s at the school.

whiteroseredrose · 20/08/2026 07:39

I’m guessing that they have been cold shouldered by Hollywood big names so have decided to try to be big fish in the little UK pond.

Well they did murder his sister.

Grow up!

Well, the one she wrote an introduction for and helped promote.

I feel sorry for the Prep school head who’s going to be welcoming Archie to his school in September. And for the other parents who probably weren’t expecting this.

My first thoughts too... hope M doesn't bring her drama to the school gates.. how does one go about organising playdates or inviting L&A to birthday parties.
As they are non working royals & now "ordinary citizens" will parents even be informed?

GreenCandies · 20/08/2026 07:41

They won’t be welcome here
I don’t think they should return theyve just got to commit to USA and make it work
if Megan felt so bad here before it will only be much much worse
I hope for their sakes they stay in USA or try somewhere else

kids do not need to go to Eton at all
plenty of good schools in the world

It must have been in the works for quite some time as most of yhe top schools have waiting lists..
Sky news said A&L were enrolled in "schools" plural so maybe they are going to separate schools

Stressedoutmummyof3 · 20/08/2026 07:45

Why the hell are they coming back? Sick to death of the pair of them (I used to quite like Harry before I realised what a twat he was). I bet William is absolutely fuming. He's made no secret of the fact he won't forgive Harry and wanted him out of the family. I know he's KC son but really he should tell him to stay where he is m
Let's be honest, his own family hate him, let alone the general public, he can't be that thick, why is he coming back?
Surely Archie has already been at school. If they were so worried about his education why didn't they come back before? So I don't believe that's the reason. Is KC dying? Suppose it's possible but hopefully not. Whatever the reason perhaps they'll move somewhere else when they realise absolutely no-one likes them.

I don't think we pay for Nicholas Cage's security.

All rather chicken and egg isn’t it, as they wouldn’t need security if people were fucking decent and didn’t spend their days whipping up hate for strangers online. Which generates the interest that triggers the paparazzi and stalkers that they rightly need to protect their children from.

We are not a chill grown up country.

This thread is properly insane.

It's been going on for years. The obsession is bizarre.

No. Celebrities and royals get security.
Sophie doesn't get hatred. She gets security.
Different situation altogether.

I wondered about this. He must be about 7 now. I know they start later in America, but it seems like a strange time to transition to a completely different education system.

BunnyBunbunbun · 20/08/2026 07:49

I always suspected that Harry wanted his kids to be raised in the UK so they could grow up to be British, in a context where the prince/princess titles he insisted on has some meaning, and eventually, he hopes, to become working royals. They will never be working royals, however (i.e. undertake duties that represent the King/British state. Harry himself will never be called upon to act as a working royal or Counsellor of State.

It’s because Archie needs to go to a prep school in order to get into a decent public school (Eton or Marlborough) when he is 13.

They have a house near Eugenie in Portugal also so that could be an option

He needs to go to a proper prep school

They can pay for their own security.

Funny how Harry has so easily dropped his demand for state-provided security. Perhaps even he realised that he was exaggerating his overblown fears too much and his hysteria was preventing him from doing things he wanted to do, e.g. coming back to the UK.

Well they did murder his sister.

I’m hoping this is satire.

The lack of knowledge of a few people who make pronouncements on the RF board is astounding.

Opinions are one thing but actual factual inaccuracies are quite another.

IAmATorturedPoet · 20/08/2026 07:53

So MM is going to be spending a cold wet winter here on ‘salty Island’!

They really must be on their uppers because, along with finding herself selling runny spread, I bet this was move was never in the plan.

I don't know why they didn’t choose to move to their home in Portugal, where at least the winters would be warmer and possibly they’d be a bit more popular.

What a disaster.

That's laughable!!! Did Harry not put a Taliban target on his own back & that of his own wife & children after his claims in Spare!
Cop on!

2026letsgo · 20/08/2026 07:55

I wonder how the Americans will view Meghan moving back to give the kids a British education? Of all the reasons this seems like the biggest kicker to the US.

Also can we stop calling them broke. Broke people can’t afford two kids at private school. They are massively over privileged grifters, relying on reputation and looks.

Jimsaidpeoplearestrange · 20/08/2026 07:57

sound like goo news to me. hope they do come back here and are happy . no one knows what PW thinks. he might be fine with it.
