In common usage in the UK, the word "August" is a month.
Augustus is a name.

I'm not a fan of Autumn or Summer as names but do like August, Winter and June as names.

The fact that August Brooksbank was not born in August makes me feel a bit itchy. (I’m a mathematician - in my world things are Right or Wrong.)

Same here, DC has ageless classic Christian English name, spelled traditionally. Already used by royals - and not only them.

I like all royal names except for Andrew (because he's a cunt) and maybe Zara (because of the shop). If I had a girl I'd call her Ann. Or Elizabeth, or Catherine.

Another boy - probs Henry. or Charlie.

Which is the complete opposite to me. I'd be itchy if he WAS born in August. 😂

I do like Harry's kids names though, lillibet ( Lilly) and Archie though I wouldn't use them
Arabella is nice - I think Beatrice was going to use this name but was told no by the queen unless I'm wrong

Am I the only one who feels some of the last generation of royal names - Lena, August, Sienna, Mia etc - don't really count as royal names? Most of the others are stitched into the fabric of the past in a way these last round of names are not.

I'm curious as to what these names are that are expressly Christian (so not linked to the old testament or any other religion), are routinely used by the royals and which will take their children places!! Not their children's hard work etc., just their names!!

I don't like the name Archie, maybe because it's overused. Lily is nice, they should have called her that, rather than the twee Lilibet, although I know why they did.

Yes, I wonder if it's because those parents eg the Tindalls are only royal adjacent? Their children will have no official royal role.
