A lighter thread for chat about Harry and Meghan

Thought I'd start a lighter Harry & Meghan thread.

Posting here doesn't mean you're a fan, a supporter, or that you agree with everything they do. It's simply a space for anyone who wants to have a more lighthearted chat, share things they like e.g. maybe it's a photo you thought was lovely, an outfit you liked, a moment from an appearance, or just something that caught your eye.

People will always have different opinions, but sometimes it's nice to have a space for a different type of conversation 🙂

No problem 😊 glad people have a space to come post what they do like. I'm not expecting it to be this thread to be very active and for me, if and when I see something I like I'll be back to post here and at least have that space to do so without all the heaviness and endless debating.

I would like that. Because every now and again there is something positive to post about. I know many posters would disagree, but there is.

Congrats to Meghan on landing the Masterchef gig. It was pretty cringeworthy to watch though!

I'm impressed she managed to jump into a pool and keep holding the balloons. I'd let go automatically. It's a fun shot.

I agree, I really like the fun shot of her jumping in the pool. It’s just nice to see famous people let go and act a bit silly.

I do silly things too when I think no one is watching, like weaving side-to-side down an empty road on my bike like a kid haha. 🤭🤪 I actually got caught once, but the guy just laughed and shouted enjoy it!

Even if everything online is curated to some extent, it’s still refreshing to see public figures share normal, happy moments. At the end of the day, it's just people having fun 😃

Back from California and my friend had some of Meghan’s honey it was the orange blossom one ( apparently she has a few different varities - I didn't even know that). Well now I had to try it 😂 Fair play, it’s actually really delicious! Might be buying some myself when my current one finishes 😋

I haven't seen the balloon pic but I have seen footage of her on her birthday in the morning and she definitely wasn't on her own as Harry was filming her! It was lovely actually and I'm not usually one for that sort of thing. Their two dogs were funny!!

No Doria though? No friends? Thats what I meant, obviously there was a camera man! I just think she is so isolated.

It was first thing in the morning, she was in pyjamas! . She looked like she had just woken up! I think it's a bit of a stretch to say she hasn't got anybody because her kitchen wasn't crowded when she woke up 😅 Was there a camera man? It was Harry taking the footage!

If I shared my birthday pictures publicly it would be just me in them, as various friends and family do not want themselves on pictures shared publicly. For example my sister does not want people to post pictures of her children on the Internet full stop until they are old enough to decide. My mum and other family members are okay if its private accounts only.

You can't judge based on what a person has chosen to share. There are many reasons why those pictures were the ones to be shared publicly.

@simpsonthecat I adore dogs so I loved seeing them too. I only recently learned they were rescued too which I will always champion because far too many dogs are abandoned.

I just feel like Meghan is really alone and it’s sad for her especially with no Doria and all the rumours of Harry’s new woman flying around. I wanted to see her having a big birthday party à la Chris Jenner but I guess she can’t do that.

This isn't a thread about gossip or speculation so I kindly ask you to take that elsewhere where you will find individuals who will happily share the same thoughts as you and you can have a conversation with them about it.

I love the flowers on her kitchen counters in the birthday photo- gorgeous arrangements, not too formal or stiff. And I caught a glimpse of the vegetable / herb garden on video recently, rather lovely and so green. I think they have a very comfortable home life, it seems idyllic.

I liked her unstuffy birthday footage.

I agree their life in California seems lovely and happy.

To be fair, I’m not sure we actually saw Harry’s face.

For all we know it might have been Marcus or another friend celebrating with her. I sometimes celebrate birthdays with my friends. 🤷🏽

We don’t know when it was filmed either.

I agree about the dogs though. They are utterly adorable. My dogs would not have been so compliant with elastic round their ears!

Two different sets of balloons for her birthday - one for the pool and one for inside. She's a lucky girl.
