Pretty much! And that’s why the article rings true, interesting there has been no clap back from the war room…..

I always thought that as a republican I'd be happy to see Charles crash and burn, so to speak (i.e. metaphorically), and the whole monarchy with him; but given the appalling behaviour of Harry and M, and Charles's apparent enabling of it, I've ended up feeling very sorry for William and Catherine..

William seems to be surrounded by a bunch of bloody idiots while actually trying to fulfill some sort of constitutional and parental role.

Charles will, I believe, end up being stabbed in the back by H (again, being metaphorical). On the upside, William will then have to clean up the mess - but if he plays his cards right he'll probably give himself the popularity boost he needs to enact some pretty swingeing changes and save the monarchy for another generation or two.

I am bloody exhausted by it all! Other than ANL case and gleefully waiting for sentabale case, I am tuning out due to boredom with them, their desperation is unattractive. I did laugh at her narc rage clap back in closer.
I can feel how desperate they are. They can't go a day without attention seeking, running to the press, trying to manipulate everyone. They obviously think they are so clever.
Did I see they are picking a fight with Elon musk 😂😂

Imagine living your life like this. Imagine living in a household where your parents conducted themselves like this. Where instead of having a conversation at the dinner table, your mother tells Closer magazine how she is pissed off with your father and didn't enjoy her holiday.

She'd do well to keep Musk onside. He's single at the minute

We'll never know what went on at Highgrove but the fact that the Duchess's feathers have been so thoroughly ruffled does suggest that the King scored the winning goal.

Camilla has a good sense of humour. Perhaps, in order to ease her own tensions at this very awkward meeting, she introduced an element of fun into the arrangements. Maybe she chose to wear an ugly, ill-fitting & crumpled beige trouser suit to welcome her guests before leading them into the drawing room.

There a copy of Spare had been placed in the rubbish basket and a few copies of The Bench propped up a wonky table leg. Beautiful photos of Catherine & the Wales family covered every available surface and, dominating the room, a huge framed portrait of Mr Justice Nicklin hung above the fireplace.

OK I’d better clarify, I feel pearls being clutched. By C I meant Charles, apologies for shorthand. When they first got together people were less openly promiscuous, Camilla was known to have had previous lovers, it would have been off putting to many men in terms of marriage, Charles was not one of them.

MM slept with H on their third or possibly second date, which she was perfectly within her rights to do so as a grown woman in her thirties. In my opinion, as that’s all I can offer, H and C are both men who are mesmerised by sexual women. Not everybody is.

You've reminded me of how in the early years of my marriage, when my MIL was still smarting that her son had developed a life that existed mostly outside of her and that he didn't tell her much about, I'd have to put away the family calendar, any birthday cards, any photos of people she didn't know etc before she or SIL came round. I'd naively thought that my MIL would be like my Mum: not-nosy, respectful of other people's belongings and homes and privacy. Turns out this wasn't the case, and before I knew it random cousins and aunts of my DH would be asking me how xyz weekend away went and commenting how I must feel so lucky to be married to a man who could afford such extravagances (little did they know), belated congrats on my nth birthday, queries as to how it is to not live in the same country as my school friends etc.

And that was just my MIL/SIL nosing about. I can't imagine the full-scale sweep I'd have had to do if I were interesting enough to go tattling to Closer magazine about 😂. On this basis, and also that a 6 and 4 yo were present (although I imagine the poor things probably spent the whole time clinging to their parents' legs and being shy), I imagine that this meeting will have been held in the blandest, least personal, least fancily furnished reception room at Highgrove! Unless Charles's personal sitting room is inherently bland/impersonal (as QE2's rooms seemed to be), in which case maybe not. I certainly wouldn't imagine them being allowed into Camilla's house's kitchen or the Wales's, for a cup of tea and a biscuit!

I reckon tea was on the terrace. M and the children shown straight through to the terrace, H & C private meeting in the inner sanctum before coming out to join them. The rest of the time taken up with tea and cakes and discussions of the lavender and a quick run around the garden for the children. Job done.

I’ve seen the terrace by the way, on the garden tour. Gun toting security officer lurking in the corner.
That will have been a great finishing touch for them both. 🤗😂

Oh God, that sounds like a nightmare!

I'm now picturing KC and QC going round expunging every personal touch from any room that HAM might possibly set foot in. Out go the invitations, postcards, books, diaries and photos. In come the Victorian china ornaments and pictures of nondescript horses. "Are we all right leaving up the portrait of Uncle Leopold, darling?" "Yes, I think that'll be all right. He has been dead since 1743, after all."

I wish they'd had a beautiful portrait of William and Catherine on display!
