I really can’t see them being physically searched but I do see it being made crystal clear that there were to be no photos etc .
Harry is desperate to be back in the fold so would agree to virtually anything .
He is not the brightest but even he must know that if he doesn’t reconcile whilst KC is Monarch , he has absolutely zero chance with William.
Meghan must be incandescent that she was thwarted with her plans to use Royal photos to promote her Brand and that she was unable to parade around in an array of expensive clothes with full security .

This must be awful for PW. If KC welcomes them back, does he have to put up with them when he becomes King?

I think HAM want the HIHO but to still live in Montecito and become Global icons or whatever 🙄

I do wonder at what on earth the point of a life is that is so utterly shallow. Meghan seems to exist merely to garner attention and literally nothing else. What on earth does she talk about and think about? I know there are lots of people like her but I honestly can't see the point of it all .

We have heard her. Too often in fact. She's completely vacuous. She is so utterly dull, it's baffling. She has absolutely zero charm, warmth, wit. Only a man like H could tolerate her.

Honestly - because to be truthful I don't want to see H&M back in the WRF , as they behave at the moment and without them apologising for things they have said , the silly clap backs etc they do are not helping their cause. I do think H&M and indeed KC need to note how very unpopular they are in the UK. If M thinks her leakings to People etc ( if that is what is happening ) get her more popularity in the US - well fill your boots M . Most people I know would be happy to never see her on these shores again, Equally people I know would be happy to see H privately reconciled with his father. But that is a miniscule sample so anecdata

Harry’s latest olive branch wrapped in barbed wire is a request for the King to stand beside him on stage at next year’s Invictus Games

I’m afraid to say , we are now witnessing what happens when…no class…marries vulgar! … neither are suitable for anything but possibly a trailer park! 🤷‍♀️

Detective Hindsight solves all crimes as the saying goes. Having been very supportive at the beginning , I'm increasingly inclined to think M thought H & the titles would be her making. And to be fair it has been - who would have heard of heard of her without that. However , the RF is not her personal playground. & also increasingly I think she has played her cards and now something of a busted flush. I'd love to think she and H could make up with KC privately , but I am not sure if she and H are of one accord.

This is speculation on my part - but I can't square the circle of lovely European holiday , seeing Charles and Camilla with the grandchildren and then M is not prepared to come to the UK again being hamstrung about what she can and cannot say about the private RF visits.

Who knows - time will tell.

The Daily Mail article re KC attending Invictus was posted upthread but I thought it would be worth posting the full article from the Mirror as the mail appear to have just lifted the story and the Mirror article is an exclusive. This part reveals Harry’s true intentions and it isn’t because he wants to build bridges with his father, it’s all about tax payer funded security.

*One insider said: “Harry’s intention is two fold. He would love the King’s support at the Games, while having his father by his side would also add considerable weight to his argument for security for his family to accompany him on the trip. “

I presume Russell Myers is part of the HAMS WhatsApp group to get this exclusive which was on the front page of the print version of the Mirror. Harry and his war room are full on trying to force KC into attending, I really hope KC doesn’t pander to this manipulation particularly when we all know what it’s really about, cold hard cash and tax payer funded security.

Way back in the mists of time I remember commenting that Harry was in for a difficult marriage. Well, here we are. At long last the centre of H’s world has shifted and MM is no longer it. He wants a relationship with his family and he wants his children to know their British side. He won’t give up trying to reconnect with his old life and it will be a source of increasing friction between them.

I don’t think she’ll ever leave him as he’s the only one bringing in the sort of money she needs, but in some ways he’d be better off if she did.

MM could learn a thing or two from Sarah Ferguson, who is due to inherit from her old boyfriend Paddy McNally’s £600m estate. SF knew how to nurture and sustain friendships and it’s worked out pretty well for her.

I will very much think less of KC if he appears at the Invictus Games. Will he care , no , and nor should he about my personal opinion. However , I have some belief that KC knows tipping up to the IG to stand alongside H isn't the right thing to do because it seems so obvious H wants this to get himself back in the WRF fold. I hope the MIGS are working on spreadsheets and popularity ratings to put some tungsten into KC's spine. I'm not sure KC needs it. I think all these H has extended an Olive branch & it would mean the world to H if KC could stand beside him at the IG are so obviously Sussex PR shenanigans that the King and others can just ignore them

I've said this before - but to paraphrase - The mills of the RF grind slowly but they grind exceedingly fine. & that must piss H&M off a bit when what they have is sound and fury signifying nothing . Right I'm all out of quotations for a while , but seriously H - are you trying to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. You've made a small step towards personal reconciliation. It’s awful isn’t it, imagine being KC and your own son using you and trying to manipulate you in front of the world, it just shows Harry’s true nasty colours, he’s trying to bully KC into attending by making himself look like the good guy with his so called olive branch, and if KC doesn’t attend that makes him look like the bad guy and Harry can play the professional victim all over again, though I do think the majority of people see through his manipulations if the comments are anything to go by. I would be livid if I was KC, I really hope he sees through this media campaign Harry has launched, it’s relentless and shows him exactly for the nasty little user he is.

I must say I wasn’t impressed that the Highgrove meeting went ahead AFTER H released that dreadful statement on the outcome of the court case.

I think C is shooting himself in the foot by enabling the Sussexes, he won’t increase his own popularity one bit.

I don’t believe they were either and I doubt very much KC would put any family member through that.

Camilla will have unplugged the router and had MI5 in to jam any listening devices (and may have even played some head-banging rock in the background) - she would have seen all the pitfalls even if KC hadn't.

All it really needs is for up-to-date airport-type security scanners to be built into the doorways of private areas

Problem is metal detectors would be set off by any bling carried (pens, handbags etc etc)so asking the HAMS to empty their pockets would be a giveaway, and airport body scanners aren't exactly covert and require victim cooperation.

I think we'd have heard all about any hints of scanning so I think chances are they weren't searched.

I can imagine they were asked to hand over phones 'for security reasons', or were watched so closely by eagle-eyed equerries/footmen that any sign of a phone being removed from a pocket or bag was met with an icily polite, 'Excuse me madam, but his Majesty has requested as a condition of this meeting that no phones are in evidence.'

I doubt they were searched. It's easy enough to refuse to stay in place for a photo, but if it was clear in advance 'no photos' I don't think even H&M would have brazenly gone for it - apart from anything else they would never get another meeting. And I doubt the conversation got into anything worth recording.

KC has had a lifetime of practice steering conversations into uncontraversial topics.

Going back to that article and Ms idea that she couldn't walk around with her head held high because of a lack of security - a lot of high profile types manage to walk around quite happily with their heads held high and no security because they don't go around dressed up (or down for that matter) and they don't advertise their itinerary.

If you or I saw an average looking, averagely dressed Mum out on the streets with a couple of kids in tow we'd probably not even look twice.

The only place where there hoards of photographers and/or HAM groupies roaming the UK playing Megan spotting is in M's head.

Harry dear, the world really really doesn't care. The world has many, far more pressing things to worry about. War, drought, cost of living crisis, self serving politicians of all stripes, to name a few.

I'm also not sure why he thinks standing next to the King will change his security at all. Standing next to the King doesn't change status or security needs, if anything it lessens them as you come under the King's security umbrella. He can stamp his feet and brief journalists all he wants, he won't get HIHO and the palace will continue to grey rock him.

The more I read about Harry the more odious I find him.

I agree, his using the press to manipulate his father is a new low. Especially after all he has had to say about the press. Such a hypocrite.
