The King is ably represented in Australia by the highly accomplished and respected Sam Mostyn. I hate the idea that Harry can just lob in and take the job if he wants. Same when they were dropping hints about Canada
It's almost as if Harry doesn't understand the Commonwealth and the various constitutions of the countries within it.

@Starryfifty Attention. Creating a narrative that they are being accepted back into the fold and will eventually have a role within the RF.

Thank you CW❤️❤️ what a complete waste of time, if there's no truth in it 🙄

Jesus what a load of tripe. I feel for W&C I really do

Most of that could have been lifted from the piss-taking speculation on these threads Grin

Absolutely desperate stuff.

They could hire the MN crew to be their PR
I’ll start

stop whining and keep head down for a good few years

Oh dear

I wonder who funded their various flights to Europe/UK and back to USA. It doesn’t seem likely they flew commercial with the children since there have been no leaks of any other passengers seeing them and no messages of admiration from the flight crew. Do they still have friends lending them their private jets? Otherwise they will have had quite a bill to add to all the other expenses racking up.

I think Meghan will stay out of sight until after the ANL costs hearings next week. They might have to cut back on flights among other things when the big bill drops.

Oprah W really trying to clamour back some credibility after the HAM interview

A private jet from California to London costs well into the 5 figures, as the usual small aircraft can't fly that distance. I very much doubt that's how they travelled. People far more famous than them manage to travel commercial in complete privacy. Not difficult if you're flying first class and are whisked to and from the plane.

Starryfifty · 22/07/2026 22:15

And OW blaming COVID🙄🙄🙄 for her decision to grant them the interview

DaisyDooley · 21/07/2026 19:54

I remember hearing the news that the Princess of Wales had gone into labour.
Thats Diana, having William!

My parents were visiting us in Germany and my mother was appalled that we went to bed before she'd had William, she thought we should stay up for the news! She banged on our bedroom door to announce the birth and was annoyed that we didn't leap up and cheer, 'But he's a future King!'.

Probs caught a ride on The Lolita Express.

Or military hero / aviation legend PH flew them over in his Apache helicopter or auntie Sarah did in Budgie the little helicopter.

They didn’t know, obviously, anything that I was going to ask them

Really?

Winfrey noted that the interview took “three and a half hours,” which was later cut down to two hours when it aired on CBS on March 7, 2021.

So everything that's in it is very deliberately there, including any allegations, and any false UK tabloid headlines (that meant the unedited programme couldn't be shown in the UK).

I don't know how he survived in the army. He has no application skills, interest or respect for authority

I think the Army may have suited Harry because he didn't need to think in the junior ranks - his day was structured for him, meals provided, accommodation etc. However he likely maxed out as a Captain as promotion would required a lot more.

I knew a guy like him back in the day at Uni where he sort of crashed and burned. He came from an exclusive boarding school background where everything was planned for him - wake up, breakfast, school, lunch, more school, sports, dinner, prep a short socializing time then off to bed). This regime spoonfed him through A levels - but he had no idea how to plan his own workload. Had no idea how to study independently so went to the bar straight after lectures. Had no idea about budgeting and money - he spent weeks living on potatoes and cheap baking margarine because he'd spent his term's money on jewellery for a girl he'd known 2 weeks - but in the process he ruined the oven as he didn't know you had to prick potatoes before baking them..... 🙄
In the end he left to join the Army!!

I imagine Harry as being like this - but has remained so into his 40s

A load of bullshit. OW desperately trying to hang onto her legacy. Looking at the clips from that interview, it was horrendous. The racism allegations, H saying his dad and brother are trapped. How can they ever come back from this ??

BigAnne · 22/07/2026 22:49

I don't think HAM will be happy about this being spoken about again. Especially by OW.

I'm wondering now too as everyone now showing clips etc . OW is no fool either.

Starryfifty · 22/07/2026 22:56

There's no honour among thieves. Didn't HAM always refer to OW as a dear friend? 🤔 what a shallow bunch

Starryfifty · 22/07/2026 22:58

@bluegreygreenI think OW is trying to look like the lesser of two evils. She's basically retired and certainly extremely comfortable. I think she's trying to ensure her Legacy and realised a long time ago that she backed the wrong horse.

Harry has made his Army career a central point of his personality. Strutting around at military events wearing his participation medals and writing about his kills as though it was a video game.

But Harry's Army career was very unspectacular (some would say poor) that even as a Sandhurst Trained Officer he only made Captain (2 promotions) after 10 years. Another reason Harry is jealous of William who joined later but got promoted earlier! It took Harry 5 years to make Captain whereas William took only 2!

Prince Harry (Duke of Sussex)
Prince Harry served in the British Army for 10 years (2005 to 2015), undertaking two operational tours of Afghanistan.

  • May 2005 - started at Sandhurst
  • April 12 2006 - completed training - Commissioned Second Lieutenant.
  • April 13 2008 - promoted Lieutenant in the Blues and Royals regiment (2 years post graduation).
  • April 14 2011 promoted to Captain prior to his second deployment, serving as an Apache helicopter pilot until he left Army in June 2015. (5-6 years post graduation)

Prince William (Prince of Wales)
Prince William completed seven and a half years of full-time military service across the British Army, Royal Air Force, and Royal Navy.

  • January 8th 2006 - Started at Sandhurst
  • December 16 2006 completed training - commissioned Second Lieutenant in the Blues and Royals
  • December 2007 - promoted to First Lieutenant (1 year post graduation)
  • Jan 1 2009 promoted to Captain. (2 years post graduation)
  • 2008-2009 - various secondments -graduated RAF College at Cranwell and served onboard a Navy frigate conducting anti drug operations in Barbados, plus special services.
  • 2010 Transferred to RAF and trained to fly Sea King search and rescue operations.

Harry didn't have a degree. At the time non-grads took 5 years to promote to captain, graduates took 3. That's been changed now.

Yes, except that the younger one, set to replace KC’s longstanding one, is apparently pro Project Thaw/ rapprochement.

Dontevenlookatme · 22/07/2026 23:04

Interesting she’s decided to talk about the interview now it’s been scrubbed from the internet so no-one can remind themselves of what actually happened. Thank goodness for archived transcripts.
