Does she actually swim? Has it ever been mentioned? Seems unlikely a California native would be a non swimmer or not keen on the water but anything is possible I guess.

So what? Plenty of people go to the beach and don’t go in the water for various reasons. Maybe its fear, not a strong swimmer, too cold, just didn't feel like it etc.

Why do you need to know if she can swim? What does it even matter to you if she can or can't? Why is this even something to criticise and comment on? Do you think about this when you go to the beach and see other people not going in?

Where in the quote has he said don't put children on social media? Please show his quote where he says that exactly? Otherwise your making it up. Saying be cautious (which is his quote) is not the same as don't put any up.

It's "you're".
You know full well about their pronouncements about children and social media. You can't try to use some word usage to absolve them!
They've spoken out against it, but do it.
That is all.

Why do you care is a weak argument. Why do you care that others care or not? 😂

@LipglossAndLies - they are both hypocrites.

“It is a universal truth that our children are in harm’s way by what’s happening online,” Meghan said at the event. “No matter how polarised the world is or what people may or may not agree on, one thing that we can all agree on is that our children should be safe.”

"The easiest thing to say is to keep your kids away from social media,” Harry told HuffPost at the event.

“Life is better off of social media,” Harry continued. “I say that as a parent, and I say that as someone who’s spoken to many of the kids here tonight who are not on social media because they’ve lost a brother or a sister to social media.

“Parents can do whatever they want. But from what I’ve seen, what I’ve heard, what I’ve experienced, is you should be really really worried, concerned and cautious about putting photographs of your kids online."

Harry, on Hasan Minhaj’s podcast in October last year.

You might want to apologise to the poster you accused of lying?

Justdancevance · 24/07/2026 20:00

They don’t use their own children’s faces, but are happy to use other children’s faces to promote Brand Sussex.

Perhaps the lavender is a ‘sweet nod’ to dear Uncle Elton, she didn’t want to be too obvious and post some ‘Nice’ biscuits

Meghan had to stay on the beach to mind their valuables. Archie must have taken his Lecia camera to snap them all, but wouldn’t want it unattended on the beach 😆

FenellaFeldman · 24/07/2026 14:01

Fine, why not just keep it all private, especially for the sake of the children?.

Exactly. Why do we need to see the kids of non working royals? Why not keep their childhood protected from this? They don’t have to do it.

OF late posters have been saying Harry doesn’t look well but in one of the pics it’s very clear to see he’s muscular and has a very well defined torso. Tossing a wee girl up in the air be easy for him.

But is it Harry? Has she photoshopped him? I can’t imagine him being toned and muscular at all!

I know an extraordinarily famous actor and his actress wife.
The public know they have two children together-mainly because she has been photographed/interviewed while pregnant.
The public don’t know the sex of the children or their names.
They are never posted on social media .
It’s possible if you want to.
You only post your kids on social media to people you don’t know if you want something - attention, gossip, making a brand and hoping for some nepotism down the line.
Famous/wealthy people who are not interested in monetising their kids do not post to their ‘followers’ . They do not seek attention for their children who can as I can testify remain utterly anonymous. .

It shows it can be done - I don't think the names of Keir Starmer's children were ever publicly revealed either.

Mylovelygreendress · 24/07/2026 20:07

Have we ever seen photos of the Clooney children?

If I were concerned enough about social media never to show their faces I honestly wouldn’t be posting pictures of my daughter in a swimsuit whether or not her face could be seen

Excellent point

We seem to be playing semantics here,

There is such a disconnect between warning parents of the dangers of social media. yet using your own children to flog jam.

Is that Archie on the side of the pool with his face on view? He always seems to be on the sidelines poor lad.

Lunde · 24/07/2026 16:03

Are you sure?

They need to sack the bricklayer as it slopes down to the right and there are a lot small strands poking up that look like grass.

I don't think Lili looks real in this picture - it would take a huge throw to throw her way above Harry's head height

I think they are trying to recreate those famous Diana diving photos from her final holiday in 1997

Agree. And if she fails to flip she could hit her head in the shallow water.

JSMill · 24/07/2026 20:45

FenellaFeldman · 24/07/2026 19:38

I really admired him for that as well. Those children have had total privacy.
It's no doubt helpful for security as well.

KS also, quite reasonably, wanted to stay in the family home because it was nearer to his DCs’ school but was told no because it would be an extra expense to secure his home. He didn’t go WAAH I want a review so I get a bespoke arrangement.

Interesting, I didn't know that. No, I don't expect he moaned about security and not getting exactly what he wanted.

Treylime · 24/07/2026 20:56

If the swimming pool photo is real, (and i dont believe he could throw her like that) wouldn't L hit the bottom of the pool. It looks pretty shallow judging by where the water comes up to on H.

BasiliskStare · 24/07/2026 20:56

I think there are two points about SM here re children.

  1. What have they access to - what inappropriate things can they access themselves on SM - what can be done about this ?
  2. Photographs of children on SM which will be out there forever, are maybe subject to AI manipulation, and have been put on widespread global SM when they are too young to understand and give their agreement.

I think we know H is very much against no.1 & I agree. But as @Serenster quoted from H above “Parents can do whatever they want. But from what I’ve seen, what I’ve heard, what I’ve experienced, is you should be really really worried, concerned and cautious about putting photographs of your kids online."

To my mind just hiding their faces doesn't cut it. Those children , by a sort of instagram drip feed , photos and eg comments re the children's personalities whilst selling candles etc etc are having a part of their lives being broadcast far and wide whilst they are very young , when it is not necessary. (IMHO) I don't think this is cautious, even if you ignore "worried" and "concerned" But as Harry says - parents can do what they want. I'd be willing to bet the majority of parents who are posting photos of children are on private instagram , FB which are limited to friends and family. Influencers etc maybe not. People who genuinely want their children at a young age being completely private - not at all. That's why I call hypocrite.

Whether M wants to keep her hair out of the pool , I don't care two hoots. I was known in earlier years on family holidays for "mummy swimming" - breaststroke with sunglasses & tying hair up to keep out of the water - perfectly valid choice. 😂

I don't need a reason. It's a chat board and I'm chatting and speculating about something that interests me. Feel free to report my posts if you think any break talk guidelines. Otherwise, don't imagine I will bother again to justify what I take an interest in, because I don't need to.

One reason that Harry was criticised for hypocrisy when he gave that advice was that he did so in the week that Meghan released photographs and videos of the children for Hallowe'en (which included facial views).

I hope RAVEC tells him this when he badgers them again, and asks why his need is greater than a series of former prime ministers. I dislike some of them strongly but nevertheless they have served in that role and deserve ongoing protection for the decisions they had to take.
