That Scottish one could from a different summer holiday , a feint to disguise where they went when , anything. I reckon the pool ones are Montecito , the beach Portugal and Althorp - well Althorp . I don't believe that can be Diana's grave. Not even they ....

Theunamedcat · 24/07/2026 14:03

Im actually feeling very sorry for William today imagine your mother who was relentlessly pursued in life over a photo having her death disturbed by someone pursuing her over a photo if he gets furious over this is i dont blame him he has had a lot to deal with emotionally his entire life especially these last few years its so very sad

corblimeymlud · 24/07/2026 14:03

Has there ever been a photo of Diana's grave ?

Mylovelygreendress · 24/07/2026 14:04

Starryfifty · 24/07/2026 13:34

This. It's always very odd. Disconnected.

My opinion is that they look odd because we never see the children’s faces plus A and L never seem to interact with each other.

corblimeymlud · 24/07/2026 14:00

No one is saying that BUT others are entitled to post their own experiences without being mocked.

I agree.

No one knows who anyone is or isn't on here.

We have normally managed to disagree without being rude, and are usually quick to apologise if we unintentionally cause offence.

Let's not let this thread be derailed, as some quarters would love that.

RecoIIectionsMayVary · 24/07/2026 14:04

Have I missed the lavender photo?

jeffgoldblum · 24/07/2026 14:04

notimagain · 24/07/2026 13:59

Since you ask - like many of my cohort a long flying career, (multiple decades) quite a few years in the mil (various types, mostly fixed wing) then a long period in commercial...(Long Haul, couple of wide body types...)..

I may not be the quickest on the uptake but hopefully at the very least I picked up some knowledge of what's involved, even if just by osmosis.

That’s great! , and because normally I don’t like to argue with fellow critics, I’m going to assume that you didn’t realise or intend to be quite so rude to @corblimeymlud? Because obviously she felt you were and I noticed too .

Me too! @RecoIIectionsMayVary.

It’s always so lovely to see little boys getting experiences like this.

You are probably correct!! Ham ( or more normally Meghan) seems to stockpile pictures and release them out of sync ! 🤷‍♀️
for example it’s been pointed out that Archie is wearing the same t shirt in the cockpit picture that he wore in the Father’s Day picture, it may be that the picture was from that time period?

Do you want to carry on continually defending someone's feelings.and derail the thread?

You didn't ask but personally from my POV their initial statement came over as pretty darned arrogant.

As a result there will be no apology forthcoming from me, no matter how often anyone prods.

Can we get back to the thread?

Well that’s great! But there are many posters who have inside information and I responded because I didn’t like the rather dismissive tone that was used when @corblimeymlud made a simple observation! , and then the resulting pile on that seemed to be heading her way! 🤷‍♀️

You were the first poster to pick up on the comments at 15.59 when you admonished Notimagain and suggested he apologise to the other poster. Till then there wasn’t any sight at all of any pile on.

Perhaps if you’d left things alone in the first place the comments would have slid down the page and people wouldn’t have felt it necessary to to comment on what they thought was unjust criticism of ‘itsimagain’, as well as well as very close to the knuckle comments on his posting integrity.

The lake photo is Loch Ossian apparently, half way between Inverness and Glasgow.

There’s speculation online that the black stone slab on which lavender was strewn in one of the pics was Diana’s grave Confused . Don’t really want to say more, even as an anonymous poster on an anonymous forum who never had so much as a passing interest in Diana when she was alive - too icky.

The thing is, we wouldn’t know, because no-one has ever seen a photo of what Diana’s actual gravesite looks like. She was buried on a small island in the middle of an ornamental lake at Althorp, accessible only by boat, and Earl Spencer has never released any photos of the grave beyond the image of the plinth and urn as seen from the shore - but we know from photos taken in 1997 that the burial site is in a small clearing in the middle of the island.

It’s an interesting choice of a picture though with no obvious purpose for its choice (random stalks of lavender strewn somewhat haphazardly on a black stone background, dappled with mild sunlight) - maybe generating speculation was the purpose?

I always feel there is something not quite right about the Sussex family pictures but couldn’t quite put my finger on it. You have articulated this way better than I could.

I probably could have done better, but thank you!

Of course they’ll say they’re protecting the children’s privacy, but they’re doing it to the extent that the photos serve no purpose. If they want strangers to engage positively with their brand as a family, they have to be prepared to open the door a tiny bit.

Well considering I was trying to draw a line under it and offer the benefit of doubt, it seems you have decided to double down and be extremely rude to me aswell! 🤷‍♀️

Well Althorp doesn't have a swimming pool so it's not there! So Montecito or the mystery villa in Portugal

HAM are probably hoping that someone leaks their Portuguese location from the photos so that can create drama about security!

I know nothing about Althorp but from Google maps there does appear to be something swimming pool shaped with a stone surround the same colour as the stone in the photo.
Just beside the tennis court.

Interesting! I’ve always thought @notimagain is a she. More implausible to me that an ex-military man would participate in these Royal Family threads, than that a pilot would be a woman!

Also, why on earth would she post those photos of her arse?! It's very odd.

She is merching the outfit so I guess that’s why.

I was thinking that when I first posted. Nobody knows what the grave looks like because for 30-odd years nobody has gone there (“there” being photographing the resting place of a famous woman who many believe was hounded to a premature death escaping from…photographers). But here is Meghan Markle, doing just that. I mean, who knows what that random bit of black stone is (other than people who know the grave). But you have to ask yourself why else a person would post a photo of randomly and unattractively strewn flowers in an otherwise “look at our summer holiday photos!” photo dump to the general public, knowing full well the media was full of speculation they’d be at Althorp. Beggars belief.

Do you think it’s not real? , or that it’s staged to imply that it’s where they were?
I imagine only family will know the truth!

I’d be surprised if Althorp doesn’t have a pool, presumably in private area not open to the public.
There are photos of Diana when she was young, though that might have been at Park house. As regards the photo drop i think the pools are different - wider paving slab surround in one than the other.

Sure, though what are the chances that the family who insist they should be able to travel at a moment's notice and still expect top level security, and who have also had multiple rounds of having their legal or business documentation returned to them for corrections as it wasn't filled in properly, have gone through all the correct procedures in a timely manner to bring their pet to the UK?

They travel without their kids all the time, why would they suddenly baulk at leaving the dog behind for a week?!
