I just read the DM article online and the photo of the dog is at Althorp because Earl Spencer can be seen in the background. Yes that’s a long way for a relatively senior dog.

Or possibly at Montecito if he had visited after his marriage in the us. Is that Charles current wife beside Meghan in the photo.

Well I've quite probably sat in that very "office" and frankly it doesn't look that wrong to me, but with AI I guess who knows..

To me it looks like the image is taken from the flight deck door (which is offset to the LHS, behind the captain's seat on a 777 or 787) possibly with a wide angle lens.

The aircraft is parked nose in at a gate somewhere (can't help with the where) and looks to me like what you're seeing in the background is a building and possibly baggage containers or similar...

Parked nose in you get very close to structures and objects at some airports

Well I've walked the walk to hundreds of BA international flights and have never seen a nose that close.

It looks like the same person in the pool facing away with Harry throwing Lili in the air.

Oh wow....

And you've actually flown (not flown in) a long haul wide bodied aircraft aircraft and been responsible for parking nose in at terminals world wide how many times?

I have eyes . I can see. I don't know why you're getting so upset about what I'm saying 🤷‍♀️. There's no need to start mocking. When you resort to personal attacks you've already lost the argument.

I don’t mind any of the photos really, but neither do I find them appealing. The children never show any animation, as though they’re completely disinterested in and unconnected with their surroundings. There’s no enthusiasm or laughter.

Whereas when the Wales’ holiday pics and videos appear there’s a real sense of warmth and joy from them. I do realise they are being filmed by a videographer, but I get the feeling the children are allowed to be themselves during the session.

I do hope HAM’s offspring are living happy lives, I wouldn’t want or expect them to put on a performance for the camera, but I do find the images their parents release oddly sterile.

Can you tell me the author of Yesteryear, there seems to be several, would like to read it, thanks

Haven’t read it yet, but it’s Caro Clare Burke, it’s on my TBR. Involves a dodgy ‘trad-wife’ influencer too.

Yes - the photos are bland and inoffensive holiday pictures. However, they always have that "stage managed" and "acted" quality rather than feeling natural. They seem like a catalogue shoot.

The dog could have been in the UK as well if it had all the necessary vaccines etc required.

Sure, though what are the chances that the family who insist they should be able to travel at a moment's notice and still expect top level security, and who have also had multiple rounds of having their legal or business documentation returned to them for corrections as it wasn't filled in properly, have gone through all the correct procedures in a timely manner to bring their pet to the UK?

No, hang on...you don't get to keep arguing black is white by getting bent out of shape for thinking you're being mocked, and objectively there's no argument lost on this side.

It's a very credible view of a 777 flightdeck with the aircraft parked nose in...

I offer that up on the basis of several decades long haul flying as a pilot.

If you are still determined to think having walked to long haul aircraft many times to (presumably) board and sit in the passenger cabin means you are better placed than I am to judge whether the image is legit, well I honestly can't help you.

Other readers I'm sure will draw their own conclusions as to what they believe.

Well …puzzled …apparently that is her cast mate from suits!! ( I admit I had other thoughts!) and I found them on another site! , and I will be honest here! , I’m crap at this sort of thing so if I found these ….well imagine what others could find! 😁

Good god ... never having watched Suits I hadn't realised they used actors quite so unpleasant looking, and while I generally avoid commenting on "appearance" he gives me the creeps Hmm

To be fair, it's hard for anyone to convey joy and warmth with the back of their head.

You did start the mocking - at least own it . It lessens any post you make when you have to personally attack anyone.

I see there is an ad currently running on 4 for Suits again with Meghan featuring in the sex scene in the cupboard. Awkward.

Well Althorp doesn't have a swimming pool so it's not there! So Montecito or the mystery villa in Portugal

HAM are probably hoping that someone leaks their Portuguese location from the photos so that can create drama about security!

Ah you are better informed on me about the estate of Althorp. Thank you. ☺️

I always feel there is something not quite right about the Sussex family pictures but couldn’t quite put my finger on it. You have articulated this way better than I could.

There's something really odd about aviation and MN at times.

People spend years training, qualifying and working in the aviation industry.....often spend decades actually flying aircraft.

Yet at times somehow folks who've never been anywhere near the controls feel they know as much as the pros up front because they've got umpteen tier points or have a Flight radar subscription.

It's odd and I don't think the same happens in regard to other industries but maybe I don't notice.

Personally I'd have thought saying something like "I've never parked a 777, I didn't realise it could be that tight, are you sure?" in response to my initial comment might have been a more diplomatic approach than leaping in hinting I was wrong.....

You said you sat in an office. You could have been anyone. Why was I not entitled to say my piece without being mocked? Anyway there is no point in continuing conversation with someone who does not recognise their tone. To quote a stalwart let's leave it here , shall we ? 😉

For info and maybe just in case this comes up in the future it's not that uncommon for flightcrew to refer to the flight deck as the office or the "office" in casual conversation...it's their place of work...

Memory gets a bit foggy some days but wasn't there a hoo-ha when HAM were dating and she left an elderly rescue hound behind (in Canada?) because it would have been cruel to fly it long haul?
