I agree with this. Very intentional. No delighted to see the grandchildren etc - no more warmth than when they had to entertain Trump

I'm sure it was very much along the lines of entertaining Trump.

I still think Harry’s had a disastrous week. I wonder if he has the insight to realise it though?

I don’t think the meeting means much. It’s not much of a thaw to meet your son privately for a very short time. Who knows what was said, he might have given harry a major bollocking. Anyway, there are a 100 other better outcomes for Harry and Meghan - the public statement was very perfunctory- no support, no warmth, just the fact they’d met briefly. Which isn’t much when you consider this is Charles’s son.

No. He believes it was a great week. Dry humping Alison, posing with sick kids and meeting Pa

love the idea that KC owns rights to any photos taken.
that’s a nice thing to hold over them.
He can release full facials of his DGC whenever he sees fit (not that I believe he ever would)!

I couldn't stomach watching This Morning yesterday, initially because I find Angela Scanlon a hard watch but seeing AH was at Invictus, I feared the worst.
I hope people complain to ITV about the blatant promoting of a man who, only this week, has been found to have effectively lied in court, slandered the UK judiciary and used his previous position to abuse women and cause great distress to people doing their jobs. I'm actually surprised and really disappointed by Alison Hammond.

Her whole image is based on this loud laughing fawning fool. She will do anything to further her career!

I'm extremely curious as to where they have been staying, including the holiday in Europe. The fact that no one knows of course just shows what a nonsense the whole security thing has been.
If they even were at Althorp last night, that still leaves the rest of the week. I'm pretty sure any big party last night would have been connected to the Earl's recent marriage and nothing to do with H&M. It would seem odd to invite them and not W&C, clearly W&C wouldn't go if H&M were going, but I wouldn't expect one couple to be favoured over the other for an invitation. I also don't think the Earl is the type to welcome H&M + children and their entourage of PAs, private security, nannies etc for more than a brief visit to Diana's grave, let alone putting them all up for the night when they had a big party on. And they would have arrived quite late if they travelled from Highgrove, it's a good two hours depending on traffic.

I'm wondering if that old friend with the Hampshire estate that hosted wild shooting parties has stepped up with an offer of a hideout. Or possibly one of their Cotswold friends, if they still have any.

Of course the best security is absolute secrecy regarding their whereabouts, as they always knew.

They also managed to have a honeymoon without anyone knowing anything about where they went.

Ironically I just had lunch today (in Australia) at a winery called Frogmore Creek.

Very true. Back in time I had a job doing medical interviews for an insurance company. Long list of standard questions, followed by more in-depth specific ones for any conditions admitted to. Especially mental health. I remember one man, answering No to all the questions eg heart problems/respiratory etc. I was picking up speed for a quick one (the ones that answer yes to every question were such a heart sink, taking well over allotted time). Get to question about time off work - He'd had a year. Why was that? His wife and children wiped out in a car crash. I could hardly think what to say next, totally stopped me in my tracks. But guess what, he had a year off, well supported by his employers, and went back to work. No more time off. No self pity. I was even more speechless by the end. I have no idea how people get through something like that but he had. 💔

Poor man. That's what happens, though. Most people don't have Harry's luxury, they just have to get on with it.

Is Ellen De Generis still living in the Cotswolds/still have a house there?

bluegreygreen · 11/07/2026 11:21

jeffgoldblum · 11/07/2026 10:42

Doubtful! , the room she entered was already filled with higher titles that outranked hers! 🤣

In which case she may well have been announced, as typically the lower ranked person is announced to the higher, which she clearly didn't understand in the Harper's Bazaar interview.

No, I think they moved. It's quite a long story, but I think they needed somewhere more suitable for Portia's horses so they moved to Oxfordshire.
Still in the UK though.

😁 at the thought that every single other person in the room outranked her.

This was always going to be tricky for Charles to negotiate but it seems he's probably done as good a job of that as we could have expected. He should steer clear of paying their legal bills though. I suspect the one point he and Meghan could agree on would be the foolhardiness of any more court crusades against the press.

Attention now turns to what People and the other captured HAM outlets say about this. The test begins.

Starryfifty · 11/07/2026 11:43

Are they not going home today ?? Good riddance

Lifestooshort71 · 11/07/2026 11:43

For all we know there was a business side to this meeting, conducted by the MIGS, a cold and clinical section where H was given some clear boundaries (as you do with a toddler) and the consequences for HAM if they don't comply and the benefits if they do. This might have happened while M&HAMlets dawdled in an ante room, accompanied by a very observant member of staff. It could even be that a semi-permanent base for H in the UK was discussed in the event one ever became necessary. We don't know. What we do know is that the K&Q will not have sat playing happy families for any length of time!* *

I had a look. Item from Gloucestershire Live news site from June 2026 says they are still there in the Cotswolds (Burford). Says Ellen and wife, Portia couldn't get planning permission for stables on a historic site, so said they were going back to Montecito; but now they have the planning permission and are staying. So, a possible hidy-hole for the Sussexes.

I heard they moved because the locals were none to friendly.

Ok, I didn't know that. I'm sure there's plenty of space for the horses somewhere!

No doubt pure speculation but I did read that the delicious equerry Lt Colonel Johnny Thompson was in attendance. True or not I am sure the King was well protected in terms of overseeing conversation with no chance of any future varied recollections.

I really don't think H would agree to a telling off meeting. This fool listens to no one and absolutely does not accept criticism

Yes, they would definitely need a witness when it comes time for HAM to monetise this.
