Simple but appropriate and perfectly fitted.

@AprilfountainIIRC Piers said he didn’t believe M had contemplated suicide.
IMHO the entire ITV channel is just awful. The only decent thing it does is drama.

I don’t think anyone believes that except Harry

I really don't think H believes it either tbh

I really do not take kindly to a man who lives and pays taxes in California and by his own admission has never voted in the UK spouting his facile views on the NHS. Now , I am not saying there are not arguments to be made about the NHS , many and varied , but these are matters for HM's Government and HM's Loyal opposition , and by extension to those who vote in the UK, and other informed parties. Those are for another thread. I think you see where I am going. It is not a matter for a sound bite from a man who wants all the privilege of being the 2nd son of the king without any sense of responsibility , as far as I can see.

I also do not appreciate being lectured on resilience , by a man who seems to have all the resources there are to get over his trauma, and any other quite normal life reverses and appears to wallow in his victimhood. I don't think I've got as much resilience in my little finger as some of those IG athletes , and many others , but I have some and I use what I have in my circumstances and really I don't need this whinging entitled bumptious (Oh that word just popped into my head , I rather like it ) little so and so to pronounce his views. There are people I will take seriously when they talk of resilience , H is not one.

One thing for H, he's absolutely shameless and has a brass neck. He no doubt considers this a great week as he got a few hugs. He is very obviously desperate to get HIHO role in UK. Talking about resilience ffs

@BasiliskStare, fabulous post.

As for the Meghan and the kids are coming but 'you UK plebs will not get to see them' narrative, how much more bloody out of touch can they get?

Fine bring them, no need to announce it due to the of the lack of security and the family being sooo hugely at risk, I suspect mainly from some polite British booing. Even as someone not well versed in security , I would guess not letting people know your movements is the starting point. Then apparently Meghan being the most trolled (trade mark) woman in the world.

So maybe they could just pop themselves on a flight in and out like the proper A list celebs that manage to live a low profile life . Then add the fact no one really cares so it should be quite easy to spot any assasin in a crowd of 5. All the interest generated is because of the absolute car crash and gossip they provide, not because the people of the UK actually give a shit if they turn up or not. Eye roll emoji....

It's all very odd. One of their (many narratives) is how it's them against the world yet not a whisper from her this week. Nothing. Not even a bullshit insta post about how proud she is of her fox

Dameputtingonabraveface · 10/07/2026 18:28

@Lunde, William is looking rather fine and increasingly stately as he leans into his 40s. This must piss off 'The Fox' (inner city, mange suffering, bin scavenging breed it seems) a lot.

BasiliskStare · 10/07/2026 18:29

I think H's problem is that he believes because of his position , younger son , very famous , he has a platform. Had he chosen to use this within the confines of the WRF - yes he would but that comes with restrictions. So you don't spout off about the 1st amendment , the NHS , Gaza corridors , Trump & Putin re the Ukraine, press freedom etc These are important , often political , matters. Which it is clear H has an opinion on but not much in depth informed knowledge.

Having left the WRF he has (IMHO) not so much of a platform as a soapbox and , my goodness doesn't he get it out when he feels like it. Do you think he didn't get the security for Speaker's Corner 😂 I'd chip in towards a megaphone if he can't afford it. 😊

Fromhere1 · 10/07/2026 18:33

I watched a few clips of the Alison Hammond thing....she was fawning over him. She asked 'are your kids proud of you...do they tell you every day? ' What an odd question... To be fair he said he thought they were proud of him but that they didn't say it every day.

The Invictus Games are a good idea but the cost is outrageous and so for that reason I think they should be discontinued.

Dameputtingonabraveface · 10/07/2026 18:38

@BasiliskStare, but the Royal Family do not actually spout off because they are non-political. They has been some wonderful trolling over the years (the queens EU adjacent brooch being a great example and KC's recent speech at the Whitehouse). They get it (well the MIGs do) and this is why they are so important when it comes to soft power and smoothing international relations in an increasingly fractious world. The female working members of the Royal Family are actually quietly and tenaciously raising awareness and doing work around early years, domestic violence against women, the use of rape in warfare. Such a contrast to the Sussex two who just seem to jump on a bandwagon or turn up to speak about issues if they are paid.

William was always very handsome but looks a lot better with age and he looks content and he has a natural charm. I always considered H very handsome too but his entire aura is horrible now. I heard the expression, his personality shows in his face and it's so evident in him. If he was living away in the US doing doing something actually constructive and was a genuinely good guy, we would probably all consider him a very attractive man.

His behaviour the past few years and recent revelations show what an ugly individual he really is. He's so very like AMW

And this lack of self awareness and entitlement will never go away unfortunately. Look at AMW! Still insists his staff call him HRH ffs

I’m sorry to disagree with you for a change! , but personally I have never found Harry attractive at any point in his life!! 🤷‍♀️

And A Hammond is a decent interviewer. She was instructed to ask that utterly bizarre question.

Dameputtingonabraveface · 10/07/2026 18:48

@Fromhere1, my dc tells me she is proud of me having raised her since her Df died suddenly when she was 8. Context, the only way I can support us is doing what I do which is a senior child protection worker. She was mostly dragged up because of this with random childcare arrangements. She hated me between 13-15 yrs and dead dad was a Saint. Now she is a very lovely young adult she has expressed she is proud of me, but will also ignore my messages for several days as she is living her best uni life. She loves me most when she needs some money. I only know she is really proud of me when she defends social workers and then tells me about it. This is lovely, but in my world it is usual to be proud of our children and their achievements, rather than the other way around!

BUT why is a private visit being announced?

Starryfifty · 10/07/2026 19:03
