Camilla was loathed. If she can be rehabilitated and become Queen anything can happen. Just sayin’.

Camilla didn't have 'sources' clapping back at every single little thing said about her in the media.

And Camilla is Queen. Meghan is the wife of the exiled 5th in line.

I hope they don't divorce for the HAMlets' sakes.

However, if they do, hopefully the RF's legal eagles will tie her up so tightly that she'll have less freedom than she had when in the UK. A massive financial settlement as long as she stays totally schtum, a proper Mrs Zippy. A settlement made up of a 'mediocre' lump and then ginormous monthly payments for her and the kiddies to live the dream....but read the small print MM, read the small print!!

If she can't keep her gob shut then the monthly payments for her would stop and she's back to jam and dried flowers.

(KC3 and PW will find the money down the back of some sofa to fund it, thus keeping control)

Except the is keeping her gob shut right now. It is the unattributable leaks that do the damage and keep the drama rolling.

Edited to clarify meaning

It did take pretty much quarter of a century though 😁

Passingthrough123 · 07/07/2026 12:56

Apparently Nigel Farage is making an announcement on the "future of his public life" at 2pm – same time as the ANL verdict. Is PH going to be sidelined again?! Pains me to say it, but NF is a far bigger deal news-wise.

LemonGrapefruit · 07/07/2026 12:59

Camilla's success came from taking the advice to keep her head down, to take on good causes, to say nothing negative - in fact, to say nothing at all.

Sophie did the same after the Fake Sheikh fiasco.

Edward did the same (eventually) after the It's a Royal Knockout debacle (followed by Ardent/Eddie Windsor/stalking William round St Andrews) mistakes.

They've all ultimately played the long, quiet game.

Kate's done the same for over 20 years, minus the initial scandal/gaffes.

Meghan and Harry just cannot seem to understand that the constant snapping back reveals them as petty, whiny, immature and embittered.

It may be that the others are the same in private. But they don't spill it in public, and that's what's given them an allure of gravitas - which is something the Sussexes have pretty much become defined as antithetical to.

And truth be told, she's still tolerated rather than popular.

Could be said of most of the royals except from die hard monarchists! 😉

I hope that the BBC do treat NF's statement as more significant.

They're really pissing me off with their click bait tabloid reporting recently, of which HAM are only a small part.

Recklessismymiddlename · 07/07/2026 13:08

All very true. And both Sophie and Kate had topless photos, splashed over the papers, that quite rightly got them a great deal of sympathy.

There was a whole section on BBC local radio this morning waxing lyrical about Harry 🙄

Came on to post this. It'll obliterate whatever H has to say and take top spot in the news cycle.

@TheNinkyNonkyIsATardis the BBC probably will, but that's because the one person they fawn over more than Harry is Farage 😒

Totalmayhem · 07/07/2026 13:21

I’m not usually a huge fan of Nigel but I absolutely think he’s timetabled his speech at 2pm on purpose which I think is rather amusing😆

I doubt Harry has even crossed his mind. But the Sussexes' poor timing is truly epic. Every single time!

Recklessismymiddlename · 07/07/2026 13:31

I’ll be watching Farage. More important but keeping an eye on this!

Passingthrough123 · 07/07/2026 13:31

Harry might be grateful Nigel's muscling in come 2pm though.

Badvocthebad · 07/07/2026 13:31

Nige don't wanna do time. I wonder if he's panicked and is legging it?

He thinks he's far more newsworthy than NF

AnAutumnCrow · 07/07/2026 13:32

I think any attempt by Meghan to trash Harry post-divorce runs into the immediate issue of him presumably having a hell of a lot to say about her.

He knows how and why certain parts of her internet history have been scrubbed, he knows what the deal is with Soho House and Markus Anderson, he can accuse her of being his drug dealer, of lying, cheating, bullying staff, faking stuff, of being and doing anything. And some of it would stick. Some of it he may be able to prove to some extent if it has a grain of truth. She’ll have phone footage but perhaps he will too.

He won’t care about anything but vengeance. His brain collapsed a long time ago. Certainly by the Sentebale claim in March-April this year he’d begun fragmenting and he’s losing the ‘just about OK’ Harry persona.

I don’t think he cares much for others in a healthy, well-adjusted way. The way he turned on Catherine was bloody astounding, as he transferred his pitiful psychological energies from her onto Meghan like a revolving projector.

IcedPurple · 07/07/2026 12:07

Your post was referring to her now, and I definitely don't think she's marketable now. Plenty of evidence.

I also don't agree that she would become a big star in the event of divorce. She and Harry are middle aged and old news already. And she's already got a well earned reputation as not a very nice person. But I'm not going to speculate about what might happen down the line. Right now, she's definitely not attractive to advertisers and brands.

Wasn't there a big announcement a few months ago that she was going to return to acting?

Some friends of hers were quoted as saying how sought-after she was going to be for Hollywood film projects.

And then...

The RF and MIG will have a dossier I’m certain. As certain as I am that had Meghan not been mixed race, this marriage, would probably not have been allowed to go ahead. Reminiscent of Koo Stark.

I've often said the same, @Recklessismymiddlename, and believe it to be beyond doubt. Te "little people" may be short of some of the details, but I'd be amazed if the institution is

Would he retaliate though? Assuming he goes back into the Royal fold post-divorce and becomes a working Royal again, I think he might decide that "don't complain, don't explain" isn't actually a bad mantra to live by after all. I bet secretly he's exhausted by all the yapping, as my Gen Z teen would put it.

He will retaliate. He's every bit as vicious as sheis and has absolutely no loyalty to anyone

I expect they watched an episode in preparation (if they hadn’t already), then made a bit of a fuss of her, expecting her to be a bit nervous as a nobody meeting royalty. Little did they know at that point..

So:

W+C: We’re so glad to meet you, we love Suits, how amazing to welcome a Hollywood actress to the family!

Normal person: Wow, how sweet to say those lovely things and make me feel at ease.

H+M: They are super fans and totally intimidated by Meghan’s superstardom, it’s all a bit embarrassing really, they’ll be asking for an autograph next.

Thinking on it, Catherine literally had MILLIONS of men lusting after her own sister's bum ON HER WEDDING DAY.

I doubt she'd be threatened or impressed by a random woman's sexiness after that.
