Blamed by who? HAM and the few supporters they have left?

Blamed by HAM and their fans, used as fodder for some ghastly interview or poignant Instagram post.

I don't think it's deliberate media strategy on their parts, I think they're just chaotic and self-centred all the time and genuinely can't understand that the world doesn't revolve around them.

This, exactly.

If they truly understood that all have left is royal-adjacency they'd have accepted anything the Palace offered. They don't, so they haven't. They just blunder on in total chaos, effectively squawking "don't you know who we are" at everyone from the mass media to the Crown, being astonished when they are refused, but not altering their 'strategy' (in as much as it can be described that way) one iota.

Thedom · Today 09:46

or they thought they could manipulate the news coverage by pretending Harry had been rejected.

I think that was exactly Harry’s strategy…

Well if it’s Ham Dram (nicely played btw) they’re clearly staging a farce. “The Royal Exit That Went Wrong”

It just won't have the same clout now, and I think even HAM – or at least MM – knows that. This week of security nonsense has just confirmed that all they've got in the tank now is manipulation, hypocrisy, emotional blackmail and ineptitude and people are tired of it.

Thedom · Today 09:48

Daily Mail headline, making it look bad for King Charles. I think this must be the last straw, they should not entertain him any more.

I feel for PW. This nonsense will follow him into his ascension to the throne unfortunately

Isn't she going to Birmingham? Or was that another spin ?

I understood that was later in the week. It's the headline grabbing day tomorrow she doesn't want to be a part of.

Meghan's narcissism leads her to stay away from obvious people/situations she thinks might be damaging to her - this is all part of her transactional personality. She has no ability for self-reflection, to realise the person doing the greatest damage to her is herself. She has no concept of how she is seen as a result of her own behaviour.

Oh my god, the statement just released by Harry's camp. No mention that they wrote to the Palace on Saturday rejecting the offer to stay!!! From the DM story:

Harry's spokesman then released an extraordinary statement expressing 'disappointment' and accusing the Palace of withdrawing the offer 'at the last moment.'
'I am aware of multiple briefings from Buckingham Palace last week suggesting that the Duke had not accepted the offer of accommodation at a Royal Residence,' the spokesman said.
'Following RAVEC’s decision not to provide security for his family, the Duke spent last week making alternative security arrangements. Once those arrangements were in place, he was able to formally accept the offer of accommodation for himself over the weekend.
'It is therefore disappointing that the offer has now been withdrawn, with Tuesday’s judgment in the Associated Newspapers Limited case cited as the reason. Buckingham Palace has, however, been aware of that judgment since last Thursday. It is therefore unclear why, having formally accepted the accommodation offer, it has now been withdrawn at the last moment.'

HAM have got what they wanted though. Constant attention

If I were the Palace, I'd be leaking Saturday's letter.

It's 100% negative though. MM won't like that.

Passingthrough123 · Today 09:52

So do we think Harry's lost his case against ANL or won it?

Full blame on the RF. As usual 😳

This explanation makes no sense at all. Why would "spending the week making alternative security arrangements" mean he had to delay accepting accommodation at the most secure home in London? He has to play the victim, every time.

I agree...their entire brand is about being victims and setting up the antics to get endless media coverage. They are utterly tone death that everyone is getting tired of listening to the teenage whining of a very rich, entitled, man who had the world handed to him on a plate. TRF must be exhausted by the endless media circus they create (while complaining about the media).

I hope the King sees it and says 'enough', and doesn't meet with him.

BBC just saying H will NOT stay at BP. H's "spokesman" saying H is "disappointed".

And yet more drama that was all completely avoidable.

Disappointed? He was last heard shiteing on about not being granted “safe passage” in and out of BP, rendering it as dangerous as any war zone.

What a prize plum the man is.

TheRealHousewife · Today 10:01

Firstly I’d like to say how much I’ve enjoyed reading along, great commentary.

It was reported on social media this morning via sky and various sources that Harry has now accepted BP as a place to stay on his visit. Chris Ship is now saying that BP is off the cards as it’s too short notice 🤷‍♀️ I do realise CS has lost credibility so who knows.

elessar · Today 10:04

Good grief. This is just an absolute car crash.

The arrogance and entitlement of this man knows no bounds. It must be deeply frustrating for the RF and BP to watch Harry spinning a web of lies, and be limited in how much they can push back without just getting drawn further into an unseemly media row.

I am glad to see them formally confirm that Harry had turned down the offer and then accepted too late. But of course his team has to try and spin that too. I just hope the media keep some degree of balance in the reporting.

Its all such nonsense anyway, I guess Harry will just have to stay in a hotel exactly as he has done on his last few visits 🤷‍♀️ although I’m not sure he’ll get a whole floor cleared out for him with no notice… who knows?
