What we saw with Sentebale, was that although Harry was just a patron, in practice many of the trustees were Harry supporters and he seems to have had an unusual amount of control over this for a patron. I'm thinking of the time Harry wanted to quickly vote a friend in as a trustee and Sophie Chandauka complained that due process wasn't being followed. There might be something very similar going on with Invictus where the trustees have been at least partly recruited on their willingness to follow Harry's lead.

No proof - just hypothesising.

Very likely.

That's him confirming that he believes in inherited roles.

It shows he hasn't really thought beyond his idea of "Royal patronages" where Harry "inherited" certain charities from his mother and grandparents.

It's odd that despite the whining in Spare - Harry seems to be expecting Archie to replicate his life in the UK. He talks about UK schooling... Is Archie going to serve in the British Army to give him a military connection as well?

Yes, it's really very odd. You'd think - after all those claims - that he would want different for Archie. It obviously wasn't quite as bad as he painted it.

Or triggered as much as he says he was…
someone somewhere has been telling porkies to suit whatever narrative of the day minute he wants.

Someone upthread (sorry, can't remember who) showed the invitation to the Invictus Foundation event - it talked about a discussion of the way forward for Invictus.

I wondered if the issue of the patron might come up at that meeting. I also thought the wording of the flyer was reflective of the speech the CEO made at the German Sports Festival, when he talked about expanding on their model in the future.

It may be that some more general changes are happening at Invictus (she says hopefully).

There is zero chance of Meghan allowing those kids to be educated in the UK.

Perhaps they still think he's OK , perhaps they haven't got anyone else who will step up to it, perhaps no-one wants to rock the boat - I simply don't know

I don't know either, @basiliskstare, but IMO it doesn't say much for the trustees' judgement if they're content to just allow him to go on destroying what Invictus is supposed to be about

Of course they wouldn't welcome the chaos he'd try to kick up if removed, but what's the alternative ... just to go on enabling him until there's nothing left?

Hadn’t thought full stop. LOL.

At some level, Harry lives such a narrow life, that it is possible that he really does believe the world works like this. Not so much what Meghan wants, Meghan gets: more what Harry thinks, comes true. Except that it doesn’t. Once upon a time some MIGS may have magicked up some opportunities and patronages, but he walked away.

Unless she could monetise them - eg a fly on the wall of upper class Blighty life - boarding school, traditions etc

And I really don't think he can "pass it down"

Anyway, wouldn't Archie need to do time in the British armed forces for Invictus to have any meaning/connection for him. Don't suppose Harry has thought about that.

Catherine has just put some beautiful photos of her and her family meeting her at the end of the 3 peaks challenge, very emotional. They seem like such a loving and close family.
