I wonder when it will dawn on Harry that he isn’t missed , wanted or needed ?
When he offered to help out when KC was ill , he probably thought the RF would bite his hand off but no .
And his belief that A and L can choose to be working Royals is so breathtakingly arrogant .

I thought the story that M hated Charlotte was only speculation but then I saw a video of Charlotte stumbling on the BP balcony and M was clearly smirking. Also, why wouldn’t your dh’s family in your wedding party if you didn’t have any young children on your side of the family? QE II shouldn’t have insisted. It would have spared Charlotte the indignity of that dress and shown the world what M was like early on. I think I have heard that George and Charlotte didn’t walk back down the aisle with the rest of the children after the ceremony. They left from a side door with their nanny.

I have wondered if Meghan deliberately wanted Charlottes dress to be a mess and Kate knew that. It would explain a lot.

IcedPurple · 28/06/2026 18:06

Yes, I read that too.

Harry was going to Australia to replace a speaker who had to drop out. Meghan decided to tag along and make it into a 'royal tour'. The 'girls' weekend' where she was a 'star guest' was already scheduled with or without her involvement.

I did notice on the 'itinerary' they 'leaked' to 'Hello' magazine, there were no 'solo engagements' for Meghan. Just her glomming onto Harry and his events. So leaving it open if she will come or not.

Honestly, I find the whole thing distasteful. Security is a highly sensitive and confidential issue and shouldn't be made into a matter for public discussion and as some sort of 'tool' for the fool Harry to attempt to manipulate. And even worse, I feel sorry for their poor kids, being used as a form of emotional blackmail.

Just shameful behaviour really.

After this particular episode, the two remaining emotional hand grenades H had left to lob at his dad have been completely neutralised.

"Dad won't make it possible for me to bring the kids over" is now seen for what it is - emotional blackmail using the kids as bargaining chips.

"Dad won't ensure my family will be safe" is now seen as the end goal of the emotional blackmail - getting a level of state-funded protection he is not entitled to.

Let's hope the MSM flying monkeys catch on ans stop with the pressure on Charles.

(I'm exhausted by it, and it isn't even July yet.)

There is a photo somewhere of Harry having some sort of discussion with the Wales’ nanny just after the service . I suspect she was collecting G and C at the earliest opportunity.

Yes, it was one of the photos in Meghan's recent Instagram photo dump - it hadn't been seen before.

Has anyone seen Chris Ships post on X? I am flabbergasted that’s he’s comparing Taylor Swift’s security with Harry and kids security, you know 5th, 6th and 7th in line to the throne. More drama over nothing. At least Taylor Swift boosted the UK economy, H and M only boosting their own economy.

Taylor Swift's security is also not about Taylor Swift per se.

It was fans who were killed in the Ariana Grande attack, and little girls who were killed in Southport.

Harry's superfans are probably more of a risk to William than to him!

Wow, that Tom Skye's piece is sensational – as in utterly brilliant. I thought he was one of their defenders. You can tell he's absolutely furious. This is the para that really got me:

This is the high-water mark of Harry’s emotional blackmail. Think about what he is actually doing here. He is telling his father that unless the King intervenes to override a government security committee, he will not get to see his grandchildren. He is weaponizing Charles’s love for his son, seeking to exploit the King’s emotional vulnerability, his longing to see Archie and Lilibet, and using all of it as leverage to pressure him into intervening with RAVEC on his behalf.
It is sickening to think it may all have been done for that purpose. But the evidence now points overwhelmingly in that direction.

Every word bang on the mark.

They monitor their press. They will read this article because of who TS is and I hope it gives them pause. I bet it doesn't.

BigWillyLittleTodger · 28/06/2026 18:31

Thank you @BasiliskStare for posting that article, it was brutal! I hope Tom Sykes sends a copy to the palace, I think he is speaking on behalf of a large amount of people, hopefully now he won’t be played again.

If KC doesn’t realise by this latest stunt that his son only wants to use him and the institution for his own monetary benefit and, who I believe, doesn’t give one shiny shite about KC himself then I don’t know what will. William must be sitting on his hands wanting to say I told you so. H&M have just proved publicly that they are a pair of devious, nasty, manipulative users who don’t give a fuck about their family, the veterans, their charities or the British tax payer and will happily stamp on the necks of anyone or anything to get their own way, how anyone can defend them after this needs to question their own morals, they really do.

I think Charles is perfectly aware of what’s happening and why. I don’t see any evidence that Charles is allowing himself to be played by Harry. If royal accommodation was offered, that’s the same as every other trip and presumably to relieve the burden on the Met (and therefore the tax payer) by having Harry stay somewhere which is already guarded. There’s been no confirmation of a meeting, much less a photocall. If they do meet (which would be fair enough imo), I expect it will be private and there will be no comment. BP have denied that they’re paying for extra security and that’s it afaik.

Charles could have made a fuss of H+M in his speech to Congress, didn’t even mention them, despite mentioning others. He could have had them invited to the state dinner but didn’t, could have visited them in Montecito or arranged a meeting elsewhere, nope. They have seen each other twice in three years, both apparently at Harry’s request. So I don’t buy the idea of Charles as a weak and indulgent father, begging to see his grandchildren, and getting played, especially not by someone as moronic as Harry.

noonames · 28/06/2026 18:53

As someone said upthread, Harry has his tantrums, and meanwhile everyone else gets on with their lives. As seen in the photos posted for Armed Forces Day, such a contrast with Harry and his breaking voice - nice photos of a future queen and future king, and a nugget of info that George is really into planes and has private flying lessons. It’s just the kind of visit that Harry (and Archie) might have done, if they’d stayed. But now, there’s simply nothing they can do to compete with that.

I just hope Judge Nicklin delivers his verdict ( please let it be excoriating!) before I lose complete interest 8n the H&M circus.

I think the ennui is because it does feel like ( ahem) endgames. As if H&M have played every card, pulled all their surprise moves, and all that's left is the "will they come over for Christmas/Balmoral, will they bring the kids this time" replay. And after this last drawn-out iteration, no-one's gonna invest much in playing the game again.

Taylor had security because of the thwarted terrorist attack planned for her Vienna shows, which happened just before the London dates. This is the sort of threat RAVEC is there to protect individuals against.

They are not there to provide protection simply because of who your father is.

Harry, like Andrew, has never grasped that he isn't special, important or of high status in himself. All those things are only present if he is representing the Monarchy. The institution of monarchy confers status not genetics.

bluegreygreen · 28/06/2026 18:58

I agree @noonames.

When you take away the Sussex spin, and the tabloid hype, and look simply at what Charles has actually done, and what the Palace has said, there is no evidence of him being taken in.

There is a standing invitation for Harry to use royal accommodation on his visits to the UK, which (so far) he has rejected. The Palace has rightly stated that the King cannot be involved in security matters.
As @MrsLeonFarrell reminds us regularly, the King's last public comment was to wish the Sussexes well in their life abroad.

It suits some portions of the press, and definitely YouTubers (who make money from views), to portray Charles as a weak king, swayed by his son abroad and shaken by his son at home.
It also plays into the hands of more nefarious players, which I suspect is another reason why the story is readily shared on social media.

I agree. Charles is very quietly refusing to bend on lines drawn by the late Queen. He respects the nature of constitutional monarchy and won't push against official decisions.

Yes thats exactly it @Rhaidimiddim! , it would be very nice if the judge releases his verdict just as Harry arrives ( release the kraken !) and details exactly all the lies and pointless money wasting nonsense! But I fear that the reports it’s not until September could mean we are denied!!

I agree. I now believe all the rumours that KC3 was arranging to meet with H&M and the kids was Sussex PR BS, and BP decided to let it just play out.

KC3 got loads on flack below the line from commenters believing the rumours and calling him weak. But he held his nerve, said nowt, and now he's looking shrewd and some of us have got egg on our face (guilty, as TS would say).

I totally agree. I think some people are just grabbing for the chance to see Charles as 'weak' and 'soft', but there's not much evidence for that at all.

In his very first speech as King, he made a point of wishing Harry and Meghan good luck 'in their life overseas'. So basically saying that he doesn't see a future for them as working royals. Since then he's barely mentioned Harry's name in public and certainly hasn't gone out of his way to see him. As you say, the American tour would have been the perfect opportunity for Charles to speak about his 'American family' but he pointedly did not do so.

I don't doubt that on the human level he misses his son and would like to have a relationship with his grandchildren. But this idea that he's 'soft' and letting himself be manipulated is just not true.

I think that in the age of social media and 24 hour press people expect frequent comment from everyone on everything, even if they are saying the same thing. In contrast the palace operates on the assumption that once they have made a statement it's said and done.

There is no evidence that Harry and Meghan's situation has changed as far as the monarchy is concerned. Until the King or the palace say differently I tend not to believe the sound and fury, entertaining though it is.

Exactly, the pro Sussex press and squad are getting desperate. It’s not even a comparison. Harry wants security as an automatic right no matter what. Taylor Swift tour was a single event with clear public safety issues.

The Taylor Swift thing was a sudden bit of intelligence of a terrorist plot against her personally in August 2024 that the Met thought was a credible threat.

Just a couple of weeks after the Stockport atrocity at a Taylor Swift summer camp.

The same intelligence existed in Austria as the Vienna concerts were cancelled

Is pathetic Chris Ship really arguing that the met should have allowed an attack?

I appreciate it - I like the regular reminder to look at the facts ☺️

I also take your point about issuing statements. As far as the palace is concerned, the statement issued at the time of the Sandringham agreement stands; there is no need for anything further.

MrsFinkelstein · 28/06/2026 19:11

Chris Ship has always been a massive supporter of the Sussexes.

He deliberately stirred the pot regards Catherine, when she released the Mother's Day photo - asking people if they could verify the plants and bushes in the background, insinuating it was all photoshopped against a fake background.

The extra security for Taylor Swift (which she reimbursed significant amount of) wasn't for her, it was to protect the public in case there was a terrorist attack (her Vienna concerts had been cancelled the week before due to a severe terror threat).

Chris is up to his old tricks of stirring up hate against the RF.
