Latest is just the pair of them coming. Why? I'd put a lot of money on it that KC has no interest in meeting Meg

jeffgoldblum · 28/06/2026 14:51

Apparently Harry has not yet grasped the fact that fully funded armed met security isn’t for keeping the paps away!!! 🙄

They won't be pursued by the paps, it's not 1994.

Very true. They are, however, the most irritating, 'Look at me! Don't look at me!' pair. It must be a complete nightmare in their house. Like One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest on Nurse Ratchet's day off.

Huge red flag. I have met some nasty bitches but it takes a special one to be horrible to a small child

Tbf, that’s only speculation isn’t it?

DaisyDooley · 28/06/2026 14:57

Surely the Prince of Wales has changed his mobile number in the past 5yrs?
Or at least blocked Harry’s number??
If not & Harryhas been phoning I wonder how many times he will call before he realises there’s never going to be an answer………..

Horrific! No-one cares if he goes to Nandos and the Dog and Ferret.
William and Kate have date nights in a local gastro pub and not one picture has emerged.
The children all do sports events and music activities, again, completely without hindrance. They're not even papped on the school run.
Before H&M and their fans continue to fabricate the "pap" nonsense, they should take a reality check.

It never ceases to amaze me how someone who grew up in the RF can be so unaware and stupid when it comes to Royal Life.

Not really. Meghan didn’t want George and Charlotte in the wedding party but the late QE insisted . Catherine kept a very tight grip of Charlotte afterwards .
And did you see the mess that was Charlotte’s dress ? And the exchange of texts saying that Charlotte was upset ?

I think he is aware. He wants exactly what his brother has and won't let up until he gets it

JSMill · 28/06/2026 15:11

I thought the story that M hated Charlotte was only speculation but then I saw a video of Charlotte stumbling on the BP balcony and M was clearly smirking. Also, why wouldn’t your dh’s family in your wedding party if you didn’t have any young children on your side of the family? QE II shouldn’t have insisted. It would have spared Charlotte the indignity of that dress and shown the world what M was like early on. I think I have heard that George and Charlotte didn’t walk back down the aisle with the rest of the children after the ceremony. They left from a side door with their nanny.

How not to be chased by paparazzi

  • don't give lots of conflicting stories to the press
  • don't release details of your itinerary in advance
  • don't roll your car windows down so everyone can see you
  • stop pretending you live in 1996/2006, when chasing by paparazzi used to happen
Passingthrough123 · 28/06/2026 15:16

If the kids aren't coming now, it lets MM off the hook for seeing the King with Harry. I don't believe a meeting will happen now with her, but Harry might still see him.

That said, I'll be amazed if she comes at all.

SqueakyDinosaur · 28/06/2026 15:17

There's a bit in Betrayal where the then Cabinet Secretary has to explain to Harry that "police protection... was provided to working royals to prevent violent attacks, not to guard celebrities irritated by the public". That was after some photographers got closer to H&M's car than they liked after an event at Kew Gardens.

I mean, just the basic entitlement is bad enough. But why is the MOST SENIOR PERSON IN THE CIVIL SERVICE having to waste time on explaining this stuff? It's not like he didn't have other things to be getting on with.

It's utterly ridiculous, isn't it?

A timely reminder that Harry was told quite plainly by Cabinet Secretary on January 2020 that RAVEC would “not provision because they were celebrities and faced intrusive interest from the public or the press”.

That was publicly confirmed by the emails disclosed in Harry’s judicial review of the Home Office, Squeaky Dinosaur, which is where the quote I posted above comes from.

Harry is spinning again for all he is worth here.

I think also, M keeps telling him over and over that he should get these things. Either a) the repetition means he starts to believe it, like a certain other orange individual, or b) he goes along with it as it's too exhausting to say anything different.

NCembarassed · 28/06/2026 15:43

I can't recall if I read it somewhere, or imagined it - but allegedly H originally planned to go to Australia alone to deliver a speech. M then decided to tag along and make it into a bigger event. Does anyone know if this is what happened?

Imho Meg has never ever been able to accept that she and Haz are below William and Kate in the royal hierarchy, and she never will do, she wants equal status and that's never gonna happen! I just hope that the royal advisors and courtiers are in charge of the situation.

DaisyDooley · 28/06/2026 15:52

My mother called it on the day of the wedding. She spotted Charlottes dress.
She also thought Meghans solo walk up the aisle in a big white dress was ‘ridiculous &attention seeking’.
I poo pooed her esp when she said “Mark my words. She’s going to be a proper little madam - fancy marrying an American , they don’t understand monarchy”
I was still in love with them both then.
I even created a cake for my ‘H&M wedding buffet’!!
I still do not understand why the hem &fit of Charlottes dress from a couturier was so bad. They would have been better off buying some off the peg in Harrods.

ShamedBySiri · 28/06/2026 15:53

It's all a very medieval Henry V111 level of entitlement - the whole court upping sticks and descending on some poor member of the nobility who has to entertain the whole lot of them until they are either bankrupt or the circus moves on to another unfortunate person.
Even if it is Harry alone, he would arrive at Althorp accompanied by a number of security people and presumably some sort of personal assistant dogsbody at a minimum. Factor in Meghan and children and there will be a whole lot more with at least one nanny, and her own dogsbody, someone sorting clothes etc.
Of course Althorp has many rooms and the Earl isn't short of a penny or two but even so it must be quite the headache. On the super-yacht chef YouTubes I watch the staff all have different dietary requests at any time of the day outside of normal meal times. I can't see Earl Spencer's domestic arrangements accommodating that.
The more we get will they/won't they the more I think the answer must be: they won't as I just can't believe even Harry would descend on the Earl without an invitation, or, if he has had an invitation, advertise it to the world whilst keeping the Earl on tenterhooks wondering if they will be coming or not. We know they are rude and entitled but surely there are limits of social acceptability around this. I'd love the Earl's new wife to post an AIBU. 🤗😂
