On the bright side for H&M if they don’t come because of “securidee” it gives them lots of fodder to add to the woe is us/we are victims/it’s all William’s fault interviews that will follow.

KatherineParr · 27/06/2026 19:09

How does The Sun know that they might not come, let alone that extra security requests have been rejected?

BigWillyLittleTodger · 27/06/2026 19:11

So they thought releasing the itinerary would force RAVEC’s hand, he shoots, he doesn’t score.

Because Harry told them 🤷🏻‍♀️

Starryfifty · 27/06/2026 19:15

I think it would be best for H if he comes alone. He at least pretend it's all about Ingriftus and he may will meet up with his father

Down to the wire!

Hold on!! There is still time for some last minute substitutions!!! We may even go into overtime!! Or a penalty shootout!
true Harry has been given the red card but what else have the got in reserve?

Telegraph already reporting that he’s reconsidering bringing the kids. That on Fri after they announced they were coming….they found out that they weren’t getting the security asked for 😂

What utter twats. we all knew he would pull this shit.

Also the family are now holidaying in Europe seemingly and will now fly in for one day….to grace the king with their presence 😂

‘The Duke of Sussex is reconsidering bringing his wife and children to Britain after learning they will not receive police protection, The Telegraph understands.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had intended to be in Britain for five days of events relating to his Invictus Games and charity patronages in early July, and planned to bring Prince Archie and Princess Lilibetwith them.
The children are not expected to attend any public events, but the Duchess was scheduled to join her husband on visits to Royal Hospital Chelsea and an Invictus event at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham.
Details of the trip were announced on Friday evening.

Shortly afterwards, The Telegraph understands, the Duke was informed that his application for a security package for the visit had been denied.
The family will not receive taxpayer-funded protection while in the UK, other than when they are within royal residences. The Duke received an invitation from the King for his family to spend part of the trip in a royal property, which The Telegraph is not naming for security reasons.
A source close to the Duke and Duchess has accused the Home Office and the committee responsible for assessing their security of “wilfully creating conditions that are making it nearly impossible” for them to move around Britain.
Duke ‘pretty robust’ on security
While the Duke himself was “generally pretty robust” about handling security issues, the source said, there was concern about the effect on the children should anything go awry.
The Duke had been waiting for the result of a review by the risk management board, part of the process by which the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec) rules on his security requirements.
He had been told the assessment would take place in March. However, he was told last week that it had not taken place and that all such assessments had been “paused”, a source said.
Since quitting royal duties to move abroad in 2020, he has not been given police protection on any return visit unless involved in official royal occasions, such as Elizabeth II’s funeral.
He is currently asked to provide 28 days’ notice of his plans to visit Britain, with taxpayer-funded security decided on a case-by-case basis.
Individual police forces can independently provide their own police for events, particularly if there is additional risk to the public. The Sussexes also travel with their own private protection officers.
The Duke is described as “desperate” for Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, to see their grandfather, the King.
He last saw them in 2022, when the Sussexes were in Britain for Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee. The family celebrated Lilibet’s first birthday together at Frogmore Cottage, Windsor.
A source close to the Sussexes told The Telegraph: “The precarious security situation and endless speculation about where the family will stay is making the planning and logistics for the private security team increasingly difficult.”
They added: “The Home Office and the Ravec board are wilfully creating conditions that are making it nearly impossible to move the family from A to B.
“There have been three separate incidents in the UK in less than 12 months that we know of, each involving a fixated person getting to within feet of the Duke.
“In some circumstances, because of the limitations on what private security have the authority to do, they weren’t able to remove the person.
“Harry is a big guy, a former soldier and generally pretty robust when it comes to handling these incidents. It’s what impact such moments would have on the kids that everyone is most concerned about.”
The children live privately in Montecito, California. While their mother shares their photographs and videos on Instagram, their faces are obscured, and they do not attend public events with their parents.
The Duke “just wants his kids to see their grandfather”, said a source, but was now reconsidering whether it was safe to do so.
He will continue with his own commitments, including engagements with charities WellChild, Scotty’s Little Soldiers, and Invictus, but may alter announced plans for his family.
Family could fly in for the day
Among the options under consideration are to fly them in and out of Britain in one day, from mainland Europe, where the family is thought to be on holiday.
The Duke is said to have been given assurances from Buckingham Palace that there is “hope” a meeting with the King could happen.
The Sussexes’ private security team has drawn up its own risk assessment, which has identified serious concerns.
A source said: “Protective security has always been about risk, not job title.
“A role may change, but the threats faced because of who someone is, where they come from, and what they have done in service of their country, do not simply disappear.”
A government spokesman said: “The UK Government’s protective security system is rigorous and proportionate.
“It is our long-standing policy not to provide detailed information on those arrangements, as doing so could compromise their integrity and affect individuals’ security.”

AtIusvue · 27/06/2026 19:26

He deliberately announced the kids were coming to try and force RAVEC to provide his wish list security option. In the event that he wasn’t given it, he can play the victim card.

Reports that they will be staying at Sandringham. I'd expect William and family to already be there after school breaks up, although I suppose they might choose to stay on in Windsor, what with Wimbledon being on and possibly other engagements to get out of the way before disappearing on holiday. William definitely won't want them on the Sandringham estate while he is there, I'd have thought he'd veto them going there ever tbh. It's also very out of the way - Harry won't want to be spending hours and hours in the car, between visits to Birmingham etc so would he get the use of a helicopter? I do hope this is just another unfounded rumour.

I bet they’d demand the late Queen’s apartment if it was Buckingham Palace.

BreadInCaptivity · 27/06/2026 19:42

They don’t learn do they?

It’s the same M.O. as when they released their half in/out manifesto in the belief it would force everyone to comply.

Didn’t work then. Won’t work now.

They possibly just see win/win as either they get what they want or more content whinging to monetise.

How people hold either of them in any regard or esteem is baffling.

jeffgoldblum · 27/06/2026 18:53

I have now read the actual article on my Apple News! ( links never work but I can try if people want!)
the basic outline is thus…. ( my own bits added!) Harry has desperately released leak after leak to try and strong arm Charles or the government to give him the security he wants by telling everyone and his horse not only that he’s bringing the whole family but a detailed itinerary Down to what pants he’s wearing!
it hasn’t worked ravec have apparently not been swayed, he’s not getting it! Obviously we all here know that Charles couldn’t do anything about it so 🤷‍♀️
now his bluff has been called Meghan has the perfect opportunity to not come with the kids afterall! All while blaming nasty racist U.K. for not protecting her and her kids!
ta da !

More evidence then that Harry still doesn't understand RAVEC. He still expects security for being born.

WifeOfBaths · 27/06/2026 19:43

How on earth would A&L be in any danger in a private royal residence?

MrsLeonFarrell · 27/06/2026 19:42

Does he expect people to petition the government, set up a Change.org ?

MrsLeonFarrell · 27/06/2026 19:47

So they can holiday in Europe but not come to the UK?

Their PR can leak endless articles about when they are coming and what they are doing, but the security risk is to great to bring the children because people might know where they are staying?

MrsLeonFarrell · 27/06/2026 19:50

RecoIIectionsMayVary · 27/06/2026 19:45

As far as I can tell he expects 24/7 armed security for the UK leg of his family holiday because his dad is king and he thinks he is at more risk that any other minor royal.

Oh also because fans have got closer to him that he wants he assumes his children, who aren't going on any engagements and who have been offered secure accommodation, will be upset by 'stalkers' who can't gain access to them.

WifeOfBaths · 27/06/2026 19:43

It’s beyond ridiculous that he is saying the kids would be in danger if they stayed at a royal residence, stay away then Harry, permanently.

NotTalkinBoutTheLinen · 27/06/2026 19:54

Harry and Meghan well not be on the same page about any of this. One may be in favor and the other opposed. The security has always felt like an excuse. But perhaps an excuse that one is making to the other to prevent the trip.

Tiddlywinks63 · 27/06/2026 19:55

….., stay away then Harry, permanently…..
One can always hope @BigWillyLittleTodger 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

BigWillyLittleTodger · 27/06/2026 19:55

As it should be.

AtIusvue · 27/06/2026 19:57

Also the review of his security hasnt taken place and is on hold. Which means it’s been kicked into the long grass. Nothing is happening, nothing is changing.

They've known this for a while clearly but are playing silly buggers as usual.

They’re trying to manipulate KC to get involved. That if he doesn’t, his grandkids won’t get to see him etc. It’s why they announced it, to then say they are reconsidering.

Wednesdayschild87 · 27/06/2026 19:58

Unbelievable! Others on here, wiser than me said all these briefings about the kids were to strong arm Ravec into giving them round the clock tax payer funded security. It turns out it’s true. I have to say what a pompous, entitled dweeb he is! If it’s not bad enough that he’s emotionally blackmailed his father he thinks he can manipulate Ravec into doing his bidding! I was gob smacked at last night’s Hello article giving details of their engagements. Chelsea Pensioners, Birmingham Children’s Hospital! I thought surely KC can’t be allowing this half in half out? Turns out it was bollocks! No doubt if Clarence House hadn’t corrected the announcement on the King agreeing to pay for extra security we’d have had an announcement tomorrow of a trip to Villa Park by H and a visit by M to see her bestie play at Wimbledon!!! Deranged. I actually feel sorry for the Royal family. H is a loon.
