I’m with Kate on this. I’m not a big royalist but it must be horrible to hear your young kids getting booed.

I know a few. Ex boarding school, don’t need to work due to trust funds and for some reason hate the society that enables them to live such a useless non productive life.

Don't put me in that bracket thanks!

But you are supporting them by joining them.
All over social media with their fake lives.
I don’t know where you all find the time. I work 6 days, have my garden and housework to do, DIY, looking after my Dad etc. Does anyone actually work full time who goes in these protests?

Please stop pigeon holing people. At one point I took time off work to go to a protest I hope that's okay with you

I am now retired after working since I was 16. Any problems with that???

Let me know what is fake about my life.

Pretty easy, they can take a day off work its not that hard to make time for things you want to do.

Should we all just silently seethe at our exploitation instead?

Edited

How on earth is the royal family exploiting you? It’s not the 12th century anymore you know.

I work in a school. So not that simple.
But I have far more important things to do in my days off…

You say you have more important things to do. Great. To you it is. The protesters have more important things to do than sit quietly and ignore issues they care about. Different people, different priorities. It's not a difficult concept.

You're a teacher...flabbergasted that you don't even understand that.

ThatBlueJumper · 19/06/2026 08:54

I think no new titles should be given to anyone in the royal family, but let them keep their current titles but shouldn’t really be anything other than a title. I think taxes etc should no longer fund them. They’ve got plenty of wealth to live off for many generations, and of course they’re just as capable of work as the rest of us.

I’m sure living in an ivory tower is hard… meanwhile the rest of us would quite happily take a booing if we had a fraction of what they had! It’s ridiculous, the royal family is archaic and it’s well over-due it ends.

Folk have the right to protest against this overpriviledged band of billionaires bankrolled by the public.

This Exactly

When is a good time to boo the royals in your opinion?

24/7 x 365 days in my opinion. Sadly we are very seldom given the opportunity. Bunch of parasites.

perlana · 19/06/2026 09:27

I doubt we'd miss them if they disappeared for a year, completely. But we'd still have to fund them. Worth it for not having to see them for a while though. To me, they are just so unrelateable to most of us. However, it is the fantasy and awe of them that keeps them turning up in their haute couture, diamonds, tiaras, and gold carriages to be gaped at in wonder I suppose.

Yes I'm in a bad mood this morning.

This is more nonsense attempting to smear all protesters of whatever hue .

We are concerned with protests against the decades ( more like centuries) of abuse and cover ups perpetrated by the monarchy

Most especially the links with Epstein and the Epstein class . The Windsors are suspected of decades of coverups - we are entitled to answers and transparency and we are given lies and stonewalling

Agree

LipglossAndLies · 19/06/2026 10:16

Also there are plenty of examples where public pressure changed things.

Recently investigations and 'public outrage' over the Duchy of Cornwall charging NHS organisations, charities and Scout groups led to changes being made. That's exactly what happens when people refuse to stay quiet and decide something matters enough to speak up about.

And while we're talking about public outrage, we still haven't seen the Royal Family apologise for the way Virginia Giuffre was publicly discredited and dismissed for years.

Powerful institution closing ranks when allegations are made, yet people still defend it and those who are part of it.

Absolutelyl And that's exactly what happened when someone got close enough to Charles to call out a question about AMW. Within days some action was taken

wishingonastar101 · 15/06/2026 13:46

She doesn't have to literally parade her children around!

Get rid of the bloody lot of them... utterly vile.

‘Vile’ oh give over and get a dictionary

Yes protesting against their own.
except the protestors seem to want to resemble refugees from Islamabad, on a bad day.
What’s with the Dale Vince scarfs, blue hair and unwashed appearance? Yuck.

simpsonthecat · 19/06/2026 19:29

What protest are you looking at, how rude you are about British people exercising their democratic right to protest
You are beginning to sound somewhat silly understatement
