I've just seen this ad on Instagram for scones with her runny spread ...I don't think she understands scones very well! Ratio of "jam" and honey is way off.

And is that butter? It looks very white? Is the huge amount of honey being put on butter?

It's such a low cost item...you'd have to sell an enormous amount to make any sort of profit

Well it turns out that they believed there was more money in connecting securidee to tidels and ... dum dum duuumm ... skin colour, which of course was all a load of bollocks - and that it was all bollocks was the genuine truth that Harry eventually angrily gave away in an interview while of course blaming others. I mean, it's a bingo card with Harry.

Who Will Harry Blame Bingo:

My father
My brother
Catherine
Camilla
The men in grey suits
The Briddish press
The BBC
Israel
Russia
Trump
Social media
Eton
That pub
Women
Ugly women
Really ugly women
The British public
My lawyers
The judge
Netflix
The Taliban
Taylor Hawkins

I can't imagine he'll make Meghan's life particularly pleasant if she ever finds herself added to his shit-list.

The paparazzi. Who only arrive when his wife calls them.

I don’t have TikTok or Instagram so can’t check myself, but apparently As Ever has posted a recipe for scones, with a pic of clotted cream under her raspberry spread and flower sprinkles 😂. The day after William discussing the very same thing (cream first or jam first) with Amanda Holden on the radio 😂😂. I can confirm, from my two-decades living in the USA: scones and clotted cream aren’t a thing here (clotted cream extremely difficult to get hold of, scones unheard of and you have to say they’re like American “biscuits”), and have no relationship whatsoever to Memorial Day Weekend. She’s hilarious!! I’m counting down to her pronouncements re bygones/forgiveness/moving on!

She’s actually quite mad, isn’t she.

I found it, it’s absolutely vile, trigger warning, photo attached 😀

That pale runny substance looks like the stuff that oozes out of a burst blister.

Goodness.

That's giving off very strong Macdonalds breakfast egg 'n' ketchup vibes.

Probably not the aimed for aesthetic.

I just saw she has a second video with a scone, clotted cream and raspberry jam.

She is really scary.

Williams comment was just an off the cuff chat and M has jumped on Williams comment to make content for her own brand.

Edited

Not only is she nuts for doing that but she must be scouring the internet, or paying someone, to monitor the RF. PW being on Amanda Holden’s show was hardly headline news.

Exactly, William only did that interview yesterday morning, she must be following William and Catherine like a hawk. I expect seething with jealousy.

Indianrollerbird · Yesterday 21:09

Jam or cream first on a scone is such a British conversation to have once cream tea season starts. It’s almost a national joke, and that’s exactly what the conversation on Heart was - a joke. Meghan has zero idea and thinks it was something culinarily profound she can piggyback because of the mention of jam. Along with thinking the English countryside smells of white tea, cardamom and Moroccan mint, she’s absolutely bloody clueless about the UK.

They have that Spotify built studio in their house. She can get Harry to record William’s interview word for word, but substituting Catherine, Italy and early years with Meghan, Geneva and runny spread.

Wouldn't the existing tea pavilion do?

Lunde · Yesterday 21:27

Meghan's "scone" looks vile. Am I right that she has used spray whipped cream in a can instead of clotted cream? The strange horizontal stripes and peak at the front give that impression...

And as for the anaemic "honey" and flower sprinkles ... it just looks like an unappetizing gooey/oozing mess!

BasiliskStare · Yesterday 21:31

@MyAutumnCrow - I would add to the bingo card - the British Public. I for one was a bit annoyed to see the clips of the, can't remember exactly who it was , but racists on street on the H&M docuseries. I'm not claiming there is no racism in the UK , but it did make it look like this was a specific problem for H&M

If Meghan is posting scones to counteract W , that really is bonkers. Although I note hers has the jam/spread on first - is that Cornwall IIRC? I imagine the Duchy of Cornwall are quaking in their boots. 😂

I think with all their PR, they can't win if their aim is to be a Montecito Royal Court. They just can't . They haven't got the backup , the international recognition by other states , they have the titles but outside the WRF they don't mean a lot other than Royal adjacency , which they don't have a lot of.

I think they have metaphorically ripped up the Sandringham handshake and are pushing their Royalness because they haven't had a slap down from the RF. They've been pushing the boundaries and have had no push back. Time will tell, but at the moment I think they don't need people to clap back at them , they aren't doing a great job themselves.

I know I know it's all been said before but it's been a hot day , I'm relaxing so I'm treating myself to a rant 🍹😊

Indianrollerbird · Yesterday 21:32

Isn’t Memorial Day weekend a commemoration of those American men and women who have died in the armed forces? And English style scone making is what she puts on Instagram as her plans to mark it. So tone deaf.

Puzzledandpissedoff · Yesterday 21:34

I reckon it's the "clotted cream" you can buy in jars from the likes of Whole Foods, @lunde ... I bought some once, just for the hell of it, and a very disappointing experience it was

Indianrollerbird · Yesterday 21:35

@BasiliskStare in both pictures I have seen, she’s done cream first, runny substance on top. Cream first is the Devon way and the one William
said he preferred.

If that is honey, why? Who puts honey on a scone, let alone honey, jam and cream? Does she have shares in a dentist? That’s tooth rot on a plate. Or diabetes. Not to mention how revlotingly sickly sweet it would taste 🤢🤢

grammar

Indianrollerbird · Yesterday 21:39

I was watching this earlier, from former Sussex flag waiver, Jack Royston of Newsweek. He reckons Meghan’s main traffic to As Ever is from outside the UK, and her overseas “tours” have tanked that support.

You could be right - I've had that sterilized stuff that comes in jars (agree about the disappointment) - but I've never thought that honey would be a great addition though

The scones look rank though - as flat as a pancake - was she using up the expired pancake mix? They reminded me of a Farley's rusk or those "Dutch crispbakes" that were popular with cheese in the 1970s.

I would imagine the "jam" needs to go on top, for her purposes, because otherwise it wouldn't be so visible in a photo.

And if something isn't photographed and put on Instagram, then it might as well not exist.

Yes, she’s obviously merching so the runny spread must be go on top for maximum prominence; but I do wonder if William had said he preferred the Cornwall way, she’d be doing hers the same?

DaisyDooley · Yesterday 22:04

There’s no way that is a scone.
It’s the wrong colour & texture on the inside -and the colour is wrong on the outside too frankly.
It’s got no height and looks rock hard.
Who in the name of all that is holy puts honey on a scone?? And bloody bits of dead flowers??
Thank god they fucked off - she would have been a god awful ‘royal’.
She makes The Duchess of Windsor look unbelievably regal .
Actually, the more I think about it, The Duchess of Windsor would have utterly deplored Meghan -especially her clothes. And scones.

BigWillyLittleTodger · Yesterday 22:05

She needs a restraining order, the woman is absolutely unhinged, she must literally spend her day stalking William and Catherine’s every move, I know we normally find her antics amusing and eye rolly, but now I’ve got to the point I find her behaviour creepy and rather sinister, her actions since Catherine’s hugely successful Italy tour has sent her into a complete frenzy, it’s really concerning behaviour.

Indianrollerbird · Yesterday 22:06

Are they what Americans call biscuits?

Actually no, just looked it up, American biscuits look like a nicely risen scone. Whatever that flat thing is, it’s an indication that she hasn’t baked it properly.
