'The face of the royal family'?! That's the monarch, you demented bint! Meghan's role was always no more than the equivalent of appearing on stage at the RSC as a spear carrier with no lines. An apt analogy, perhaps, given her lack of acting ability.

An comment on the Reddit thread referred to MM as "Mrs Harry Mountbatten-Windsor" which is what she will be once they lose their titles.

StormGazing · 22/05/2026 19:29

Probably! It will be a bag of shit as usual, comparing her to Diana, probably Grace Kelly, Hera, Juno, Venus …. 🫩

Sounds like the Dana International song that won Eurovision back in 1998. Just googled and it was called Diva.

Pretty sure Meghan would sabotage any reconciliation plans .

I think they already have.

I think the "father-son" reunion that the press was "bigging up" as the thaw last September was a test - but Harry couldn't help himself but blab some snippets within hours. I think this went down like a lead balloon at BP and is why Harry inviting himself to Sandringham was so quickly rebuffed.

I think if Harry was proposing a private family reunion without photos in a location that couldn't be leaked to the paps there might be a chance. But Harry and Meghan don't want private family time - they want to prove their "royal adjacency" to drive sales and media deals.

Harry and Charles have met only twice in the past 2 years and 3 months .... I meet the DHL guy more than that!

If I remember correctly ( and I could be wrong!) weren’t they trying to smear him with sexual abuse charges?

Yes something like that. Something about a hidden hard drive.

Lol at “I meet the DHL guy more than that”

Yep, they need the RF for sales and clicks, they’re nothing without them, they’re just realising that … but Markle is hell bent on using lies, children, more lies, everyone else’s sadness and bad luck to snaffle PR and money, she gives not one hoot!

I definitely remember the thread and the regulars practically rubbing their trousers with glee! So happy that this man would be outed and sent to prison!
his real crime? Failing to worship at the altar of h and m and having the audacity to criticise them! 🙄

True! Ready to condemn someone with no evidence!

jeffgoldblum · 22/05/2026 20:02

Here is the thread in all its glory! , to start with the abuse allegations are not at the beginning! They appear later.

Yes there were a couple of long winded threads. They didn’t age well. I don’t like Dan Wooten, but he didn’t deserve any of that.

No he didn’t! But then neither did piers Morgan! 🤷‍♀️ , if being an irritating ass was a crime Harry would have been locked up years ago!

I think Dan Wooton was sacked from GB news because of the incident with Laurence Fox saying on his show 'he wouldn't shag that' about a female journalist?

I could be misremembering though.

It surprises me to hear GB news is pro H&M. I'd have thought their demographic would be hugely anti H & Ms victimhood whinging running down the country and it's traditions shtick.

Yes that was what GB News said was the reason, but DW doesn’t think it was.

Yes it is very pro Sussex now, which is a complete 180 to where they used to be when Wooten was their royal correspondent.

StartupRepair · 22/05/2026 22:08

Harry has really turned into the Duke of Windsor now. Grasping for relevance, not understanding geopolitics, dodgy friends.
No matter what thaw he might establish with Charles, the door will slam shut when William is in charge.

He really has. Meghan is definitely Wallis.

Ferryl · 22/05/2026 22:14

Do you think Harry is resentful of Meghan at all? I can envisage lots of moaning and stropping along the lines of “why did I listen to you?”/“this is all your fault”/I wish we’d never met” etc.

Or is he still in thrall to her all-round wonderfulness?

I think Harry sweats bitterness.
If he isn’t already he will be blaming Meghan -mainly because he has never had to take responsibility for his own actions. I blame them equally-she was Machiavelli and he was jealous and stupid. A lethal combination.

The pictures of William with people Harry had known his whole life -Edward Van Cutsem was a page boy at Charles & Diana’s wedding- must have cut deep.
He must have looked at his big brother who used to love him and wonder how he has ended up in the USA without any purpose in his life-no Windsor family, no real friends, nothing to do-while William genuinely looks like he is having the time of his life with people who were once also Harry’s friends too.

When the footage of William with his arms round his friends, celebrating his beloved Villas win was singing **‘Sweet Caroline’ I almost felt a twinge of sadness for Harry. Then I realised I was sat on a dog toy and decided he had brought it all on himself.

**Sweet Caroline was one of Diana’s favourite songs.

He's still enthralled. He has no depth/ intelligence. I do recall some word salad from him after she had Archie, basically puffing about how amazing she was giving birth or some nonsense 🙄 yes it is amazing but ffs.

I hate blaming the woman but meg is pure Machiavellian. She knew exactly how to work Harry. I hate to go down the rabbit hole but I do believe she planned this union

Harry was 32 when he got married, he rejected all the wisdom his family gave him about not rushing into, either marriage or royal life. Harry failed to prepare Meghan at all because all his previous girlfriends had backed away when faced with the reality of Royal life. Harry is on record as wanting to leave belt he even met Meghan.

The fun, relaxed young couple who wanted to serve the UK was a palace PR creation.

Jolly Japes Harry was created by palace PR
Harry as a Victim of the Wicked American only works if you believe that Palace PR Harry ever existed, and sadly I don't. They are the architects of their own lives and I hope they are as happy as they keep telling us they are.

The Harry as Victim

Harry is on record as wanting to leave belt he even met Meghan.

I think he said he 'wanted to leave' in the way that a spoiled teenage boy says they are going to run away from home. It makes them feel good to say it, but deep down (not that there is any 'deep' with Harry) they know they've got it good. If Harry had wanted to 'leave' absolutely nothing and nobody was stopping him. As we saw with Mexit, the Palace response was basically 'We're sorry to see you go but have a great life.' And the Sussexes have been bitter about this ever since.
