While I think they're all appalling and I'm not a defender of any, I think MW would comfortably win a 'worst version' face-off with H any time.

All of them are unhealthily addicted to meaningless titles, unearned status wealth and privilege.

I never commented on AMW?
I would think most people on here would think he's worse! 😅
(As a character)

Probably the RF like the rest of us normal people don’t think an 8th wedding anniversary is a big deal.

They are So Very Important though.
It's quite extraordinary. Also very entertaining.

As a nickname and term of endearment, Lillibet is lovely, especially contrasting with the formality of Queen Elizabeth II. As a given name it's totally naff, even more so with the title Princess. The Queen must've been horrified. It would be like christening a child Plum or Lottie, they aren't formal names. Archie was bad enough but Lillibet... what were they thinking?

You’ve just reminded me I actually know someone called Plum 😬

Like a lot of media coverage, that article somehow manages to be both unbelievable and horribly plausible 😬

On the one hand, surely nobody could be so deluded, self-important, peevish.

On the other hand, these are the people who thought the head of state should put their personal interests ahead of those of the country. Who think it’s ok to use sick children and survivors of terrorist atrocities to merch clothes. Harry has accused his family of racism and wishing him harm, publicly fantasised about killing his father, suggested that the Wales children need his protection. And now it’s waaah where’s my anniversary card from Pa? There is something seriously wrong with these two I think. And I don’t mean the PTSD. I feel sorry for William having to deal with this shit for the rest of his life.

IMO (and I'm sure William won't heed my advice 😀) he should remove titles from any non working royal. Saves any future headaches. Looks like he's going for a more informal structure anyway

@NormalAuntFanny May I just say Oh FFS - Oh and not at you . This pair are in their forties. It's their 8th wedding anniversary - I think normally the RF do a Happy Birthday / Anniversary for the main numbers - so 10 maybe 15 20 , 25 etc. And for birthdays apart from the POW's children , 18 , 21 etc ( I may be wrong here ) My mother and father had a 60th wedding anniversary card from HLMTQ - lovely for them.

How in the name of Betsy are they living their best life as two middle aged people ( ok early middle aged people ) with a good deal of money and all the freedom they wanted and they are whinging because Daddy hasn't put out a global message . Get real you two - you chose this. There are many who would quite like to see you denuded of titles but you still have them. & you're making the most of them .

May I contribute a slight "grrr " and a "do buck up" to those two 😂 And exit one stout party ......

It's a nickname for Victoria, isn't it?
Surely no one is actually christened Plum..?!

noonames · 29/05/2026 23:13

I don’t think KC3 publicly acknowledged the Wales’s anniversary did he? So why would he do anything for this pair who are a) much less significant, b) estranged and c) such a pain in the royal butt. ‘Shocked and depressed’, I ask you 🤦‍♀️

Did Harry do anything for Charles and Camilla’s anniversary? Nope. They are just such awful people, trying to shape this narrative of being victims of Charles and William, after everything they’ve done. Inventing a load of shite to make the family look bad, no doubt in the hope of forcing them to capitulate and give Harry everything he wants. This man is in his 40s ffs. He behaves like a particularly obnoxious teenager.

I'm amused that the Australia trip is remembered as a huge success. It really wasn't.

Let’s not count our chickens Cathy! , it’s taken years to find out about Andrew despite the copious rumours! , let’s hope that despite the copious rumours of Harry’s behaviour they don’t take years to come to the surface! , we may discover that the spares are not so different after all!.

Without wishing to sound peevish! , until they have reached plus 10 years or 28 in my case ! , I see their marriage as new or a “starter” marriage! Come back when they have some longevity if they want fanfare!!

Jeff 😂 - you don't sound peevish . I speak as one who is into the 30s of wedding anniversaries. I got some very nice window boxes for my 25th . I can't even remember 7 , 8 , 9 or even 10. I'm sure we had a nice time , but I didn't expect a fanfare, as you say. Anyway 💐for 28th Jeff.

No it’s not a nickname in her case! Her siblings have daft, er, I mean unusual names too.

LaMarschallin · Yesterday 07:51

I didn't think a fuss was made about wedding anniversaries until, at least, the 10th.
And I thought the couple celebrated them, not the wider family, apart from the significant ones. In my parents' and in-laws' cases that was their 25th. My DM and DPiL sent a card for DH and my 1st but that was all and I did the same for my DC.
8 is such a random number for a society based on decimal! Goodness knows what they're expecting for their 10th (God willing they make it there - don't want to tempt fate).

It's not about the wedding anniversary.
It's about getting the clicks.
I think that being in the headlines is addictive. For some people 🙁

Those girls would have been born long before Princess Lilibet Diana.
Up until that point, it was exceptionally rare, according to the ONS.

Prior to 2021, according to the ONS, there were consistently fewer than 3 girls in the UK registered as Lilibet, per year

So in your school you got if not the entirety of the Lilibet cohort for that year, then pretty close.
Perhaps those parents were coincidentally paying tribute to her late Majesty.

Edited

Or is their name Elizabeth and they’ve shortened it to Lilibet?

If not then it’s statistically impossible and I call BS 🤣

Does America know it has its own princess? , I mean they are a republican country that fought a war with us to rid themselves of such titles ! 🤷‍♀️
