@Gowlett

The card from British Airways? WTF

Hopefully initiated by one of crew (following hints?) and not the company.

I signed a few like that back on the day but only usually for really special events e.g. honeymooners or really big anniversaries, not an 8th..

WeightLossGoal2024 · 19/05/2026 20:14

i think she will have expected this to be a significant speech indoors and on a podium with a large influential audience.

instead from some angles it looks like she is on a random street/car park with a handful of people there.

They are both so inauthentic. Recycling the same speeches and buzzwords. It’s horrid when they are using the sad stories of vulnerable people

Absolutely lovely thing for the crew to do, and I’m sure lots of staff / companies do it.

But Meghan sharing it? It’s a corporate nicety. Goes to show the lack of family love.

HeddaGarbled · 19/05/2026 20:31

Yeah, it’s like my mum putting her Christmas cards from businesses on her mantelpiece to make it look like she’s had lots of cards.

Arjan · 19/05/2026 22:01

This is what her PR crises team are doing

If truly harmful content appears (defamatory statements, leaked private info, etc.), there are formal removal options (DMCA takedowns, contacting hosts, or legal actions).

However, more commonly, celebrities simply outrank negatives with consistent new content. In short, don’t ignore SEO, treat your name like a brand and optimize accordingly.

I notice that Meghan is hurriedly distancing herself from the fallout of taking selfies with far right politician claiming not to know Wille Rydman from Finland who is accused of sexual and racial harassment, messaging and grooming - including to underage girls- not the best look for Meghan's campaign against internet harm.

Clearly Meghan bailed before the group picture of invited guests - not entirely sure exactly who they represent as it is a very small group on just 18. However one of those pictured (3rd/4th from the right, blue suit, brown shoes) looks A LOT like Wille Rydman.

Is it him? Does this mean he was actually invited to this event??

Prepping for the trip (about online safety for kids) whilst having - yes - her daughter pose for an Instagram post.

“Here’s me in my giant closet, admiring me, whilst my daughter, at my feet, admires me also, look out for the links to purchase - yes, you too could achieve my look”

I mean WTAF? This woman is batshit, tone deaf and unpleasant.

"No Child Lost to Social Media" whilst she puts her own children on social media quite frequently.

The 'Lock Screen' memorial is heartbreaking. But she is tone-deaf. The World Health Organization does their best dealing with issues such as global pandemics, vaccinations and such. I'm baffled as to why/how the WHO decided to bring her in for this, or in fact to dabble in issues related to SM in the first place.

I did wonder why the WHO is tackling social disease, so I’ve been trawling the internet. They said this is because it’s an aspect of mental illness which is becoming a pandemic.

General consensus is that it could afford to because the US funded and ran most of its emergency responses, but they just pulled out and shut everything down without a transition plan.

Hopefully this will attach properly!

And then on her return from talking about the dangers of SM for children - she uploads a private, never seen before photo of her wedding which includes the faces of the children who were her pages and bridesmaids 8 years ago without blurring them out or asking permission from the now teenage children or any of their parents with whom she has since fallen out and cut off these children. Very dangerous and clearly double standards to land teenagers on to a global social media platform for her sole personal gain without their permission or knowledge.

corblimeygvnr · 20/05/2026 15:39

You make a very good point @Twisterr. She demonstrated her hypocrisy again.

It’s starting to feel slightly sinister to me, the desperation for attention seems to mean she’ll try virtually anything if it’ll get her money.
The double standards and hypocrisy is astonishing, she clearly has no idea of how poor an impression she’s making.
I guess eventually no one will want her at their event because of the miasma of inauthenticity and exploitation will drift around her.

corblimeygvnr · 20/05/2026 19:36

She comes across as manic in her posting - masses in one go then nothing then masses again. Reminds me of an alcoholic I know.

Yes, her social media seems so random & home-made, even the As Ever promotional material. She wants it to feel carefree but it’s just sloppy… You’d think she’s have a top SM team, but nothing is cohesive brand-wise for Harry & Meghan / Duchess of Sussex / As Ever.

Well none her!
Love her or hate her, her presence has raised the profile of the issue and this can only be good.

Mischance · 20/05/2026 23:05

Done, not none!!!

Mischance · 20/05/2026 23:06

How you all love to hate her!
Better than shouting at someone in real life or kicking the dog I guess!
The scapegoat role is alive and well ...

She’s no different to any other celeb-watching-entertainment for me, wouldn’t say I hate her… But what’s particularly fascinating about her is that she had it all. She threw it away. And now she’s trying to claw it back. People can’t stop watching!

It’s the royal knockout all over again!! 🤣

MarchionessVonSausage · 21/05/2026 01:21

It's certainly raised the topic of her going this while not acting the part in real life. More of the do as I say .

Reminds me of Trump. They have a lot in common.

MonteShitshow · 21/05/2026 05:15

I came across a few mentions about her speech being taken from / heavily modeled on someone else’s lecture, and was wondering if anyone has confirmed or debunked this please? I’m more interested in her authenticity than her outfit or attendance numbers.

I can’t wait for her auto biography - has to be called:

“Squandered”
