What exactly did he learn from his Nazi uniform moment? Considering he moved right on to abusing a soldier of Pakistani descent and using abusive terms for Afghans? To be an equal
opportunity racist?

Given how familiar we are with Harry's intellectual limitations, this is so annoying. He walked away from the role. When he was in the role, he had minders to keep him on track and some accountability to the monarch he represented. This is deluded self-importance. I wonder if he's desperately embracing the 'statesman' image because he is aware, on some level, of his need to remain of some value to his wife. Maybe she's the real audience for this nonsense.

Butteredtoast55 · 14/05/2026 07:42

I wish news outlets would stop giving him the oxygen of publicity. He knows bugger all about real life in the UK and has chosen not to live here so I'm not sure why his (half-baked) opinion is of any particular interest. I decided not to read it on the BBC as it's the clicks that drive content so I'm on a Montecito News Blackout.
Although I will happily come on here to read the more researched and knowledgeable opinions that are shared because I honestly know more about what's going on with Invictus and Sentable from what's been shared on here than can be found in mainstream news.

That’s an interesting perspective. Also why do the media give this any prominence? He is of no importance and he’s unpopular with the public. I have barely seen any coverage of C’s visit to Italy, even though she was very warmly received by large crowds.

He’s also in the bbc news app. Why do these places entertain him? Concentrate on the people working for me!

Honestly I believe there are anti-monarchists actively using Harry to undermine The King and William.
I’m certainly not taking lectures on anything from Harry (or meghan) and won’t be wasting my time reading any of the associated articles plus I try to avoid giving them the clicks. It’s the only way to persuade the media to stop giving them the space for their tedious pontificating.

I was just reflecting on H&M saying they were triggered by the State visit , and their feelings of unfairness that Trump is nasty to them and Daddy didn't clap back. Apparently is is harder for them to process this than they thought 😆 They've obviously let this (from sources) stand. It's astonishingly out of touch and self indulgent. They really are a shower. Can they not get their heads out of their own self pitying arses at all. I think their real PR problem now is that, even if they clap back to everything, they've got a mountain to climb to get any reputation back. And nor are they ignoring stuff and just getting on with the hard work of getting on with things.

It still shocks me how they always make everything about them. Reminds me of when the PoW released the video revealing she had cancer and iirc their first reaction was to complain that they were hearing the news at the same time as everyone else. Before hastily putting out that statement wishing health and happiness or whatever, but referring to her as Kate instead of Catherine or the PoW. Ugh. Plenty of other examples too - marching with the veterans at Invictus, the photo op at Uvalde, arguing about Meghan going to Balmoral when QE2 died. They really are awful people.

The BBC want another interview with Harry, where he can spew to his heart’s content without being asked a difficult question. They are probably cock a hoop that they got one over Tom Bradby/ITN with the post RAVEC appeal scoop. Plus, he’s the only one of Diana’s boys wiling to talk to them, since the remain unapologetic over the Martin Bashir cover up.

ShamedBySiri · 14/05/2026 08:02

Ugh. It’s in The Telegraph too. I’m not clicking even to just read the comments. It’s the only way to cut off the oxygen. I shall seek out an article about Catherine to give my clicks to!

ShamedBySiri · 14/05/2026 08:08

Agree @Indianrollerbird

Hopefully this gift link to article about Catherine in Italy will work. Give it the clicks!

Interesting new PR approach - The New Statesman piece followed by the Time article - looks like his PR team are just scratching around for opportunities to raise his profile - I don’t think he gives a flying fuck about any of the issues - he’s just getting on the bandwagon / coattails of the issue of the day. This is a very easy PR exercise - an exec identifies an opportunity and writes it up - PH sticks his name on it. Loads of traditional media (NS/Time) are scrabbling around for content competing with SM. He’s obviously not getting many face to face speaking opportunities. And I agree he is the ultimate ‘useful fool’ to bad actors.

SqueakyDinosaur · 14/05/2026 08:11

Why does he do this, we ask... on thread 12 of discussion about H&M! I mean, let's not kid ourselves. They are endlessly fascinating to us, precisely because of their flaws and self-delusion, and because of the narrative arc that we've seen enacted, basically since Harry's birth.

They are part of a huge soap opera and, as has been the case since the earliest storytelling, flawed characters have always been more engaging. Not more likeable; not more appealing, but commanding more of our attention.

BasiliskStare · 14/05/2026 08:18

I think many people would prefer not to be lectured on anti-Semitism by a chap whose wife thought it was OK flogging clothes on a visit to the Bondi beach massacre site.

Whilst he himself thought it a good joke to slap a lifeguard on the bottom. Why aren’t all these media outlets reporting on that disgraceful inappropriate behaviour?

ShamedBySiri · 14/05/2026 08:28

The Telegraph has their article about H high up in the website, have to scroll down for the one about Catherine and they seem to have totally missed that Kemi Badenoch delivered a barnstorming speech yesterday, totally skewering Keir Starmer and the rest of the Labour Party. It takes me back to the spitting image days of Thatcher and Kinnock Punch and Judy show. Kemi is so much wittier though. I did love her joke about Labour MPs being banned from hairdressers which might explain why all the front bench had the same haircut. 😂🤩

I must need to search out a comment piece.

Hahah Squeaks you’re so right. They are like a soap!

Every time I think it can’t get any worse … it does! I think it’s frustration too, as I just can’t understand why they do these outrageous things. Yes it gives them the clicks but no financial benefits.

Same as Katie Price, another one whose life is a soap opera/car crash. I find them fascinating as well as frustrating!!

Lazingsundayafternoon · 14/05/2026 08:34

I do wonder where they will be in ten years time and what they’ll be doing. Teenage children, William as King. They will be in their fifties . Will they still be whining and headline grabbing at any cost?

MrsLeonFarrell · 14/05/2026 08:52

I doubt the press are printing these articles to help Harry. They get clicks that's all. I would bet that even with these articles what he says will have led coverage than, say, the argument between the two lead actresses in Snow White. I don't think threw interest in Harry on this board is reflected in the general public and therein lies his problem.

WhatTheActualFeckityFeck · 14/05/2026 08:54

Harry’s a puppet of George Soros, isn’t he? I guess by putting his name to this article, written by others, H is singing for his supper.

No, they will still be the bright young thing.

They are, after all, very young.

I don’t think most people have a clue what they’ve done or said or where they have gone. Most people aren’t interested and that’s how they get away with it.

HoldMyWine · 14/05/2026 09:04

Stig Abel is trumpeting about Harry the international politician on Times radio, I think with some sarcasm.

WhatTheActualFeckityFeck · 14/05/2026 09:09

I think that once Harry loses the largesse of his little republican pals in the UK government like Yvette Cooper and Shabana Mahmood, which looks possible if the coup against Starmer gets messier, H may find the political landscape even harder to navigate re Birmingham Invictus. The Birmingham MPs are split now down the middle over Starmer, btw.

This new article of H’s about Gaza/Israel/anti-semitism is unhelpful for his Invictus staff. I wonder if the Vice-Chair got a whiff of it before publication and that’s why she went? Too much politics and war? Not enough post-war detente and camaraderie??
