Same. I see absolutely no evidence of a 'thaw'. I don't buy the idea that Harry has high level 'supporters' either. He's just a comical and occasionally annoying sideshow now.

The whole 'working royal' thing is being phased out anyway, so even if Harry and Charles reconcile, I can't see how he would ever officially represent the monarchy again. It's been too long and so much has changed.

Agree. I said at the time when Spanokopita first made that claim that a personal reconciliation is very different to a RF reconciliation.

I heartily support the first and do hope it happens, it's most likely with Charles, much less so with William.

I can't see any evidence of the RF trying to being them back in. At the time, when the claims were first made I could sort of see the logic - both Charles & Catherine were in the midst of cancer treatment and much less visible. The argument could be made that H&M were needed.

The last month has shown that is absolutely not the case. Both Charles & Catherine have smashed it out the park PR wise. Charles with his US state visit and Catherine in Italy. The visit to Australia just underlined how pointless H&M are. The Aus govt withdrawing IG funding just sealed the deal. And that decision allows the UK govt to do the same.

Personal father-son reconciliation is possible.
Id say close to zero chance of RF reconciliation.

I think it’s a bit weird how there is so much PR activity from Meghan and Harry at the moment, but no supporters popping up on the thread. I almost miss “Meghan turned down the Met gala because she knew it would become all about her and didn’t think that was fair to the others” and “she’s only posting those links so that the correct designers are credited” and “they weren’t invited to the White House because everyone knows they would refuse” and “everyone lies so actually you’re the hypocrite for calling Meghan a liar”.

I'm not sure there's anything left to say that wouldn't make any remaining supporters look just as ridiculous as their tarnished idols, noonames

I'm the first to consider alternative opinions, but not when they rely on obvious lies and false accusations of racism, and frankly it got to the point where these seemed the only thing some had to offer

Your screenshot show your camera roll mate you might want to get it removed

Shows how unobservant I am as I didn’t even notice!

Yes, the complete absence of the 'stalwarts' is strange. I kind of miss them too! Not the boring inane arguments about 'haters' brainwashed by Murdoch, the silliness about "why are you wasting time talking about someone you don't even know?', or dredging up some long forgotten tabloid article from 7 years ago. That was dull. But it's nice to be challenged every now and then!

Maybe they're bored with the Sussexes too? Or there's just no longer any way to defend them and their shenanigans anymore?

I have said it before and I'll say it again "Wot she said" ( about as insightful as H's global statesmanly pronouncements*. 😊- But I don't pretend my opinion is worth a damn)

I am utterly in favour of an rf ( with small letters) reconcialtion , between father son and grandchildren , and indeed DIL if she wants it. But this in a very private family reconciliation. No photos , no press releases , no friends or sources talking to People , just a family building bridges .

I think the RF have done well recently and shown there is a great difference between them and a disaffected scion.

I think H&M's unpopularity with the general public , never mind about family slights etc , means a public reconciliation is unlikely at the moment, by which I mean H appearing in anything with the RF which could be seen as him being "back in the fold" Eg KC appearing at the IG.

*I mean my comment not Mrs Finkelstein's

Given that they trotted off to Australia after it was announced that the PPoW were going there, I expect by some mad coincidence they will find themselves in India before November.

Diana visited Pakistan when Jemima Khan was still married to Imran (and she had surreptitious motives relating to the heart surgeon she was keen on).
But times have changed. Imran Khan is in prison.
Not sure H&M have the connections to pull off a visit though of course they might use the wrong connections and cause a diplomatic headache.

noonames · 16/05/2026 15:23

That hasn’t stopped them thus far tbf 😂

Maybe the plan has changed and Meghan’s best route to the throne is now judged to be via a different path - one criticising the other royals instead of attempting to defend her. So instead of a robust argument why it’s fine to use children in hospital for mental health disorders to sell clothes, and it’s absolutely marvellous and so brave when Harry minimises anti semitism, we have “William doesn’t pay tax or market rent” (except he does) and “Catherine’s skin isn’t as good as it looks” (except it is), “Charles has his toast buttered for him” (except he doesn’t) and “how inappropriate that Charlotte was pictured wearing shorts, those poor children” (words fail me). Blah blah blah. Yawn.

ShamedBySiri · 16/05/2026 15:27

An associate says this kind of gifting from friends is very much the done thing for the Sussexes, whose money troubles have only grown since the end of their lucrative Spotify and Netflix deals.
‘They ask for a lot of resources to be spent as they believe it is a privilege to be in their circle,’ says a source, adding: ‘They think they are entitled to all the private planes.’ The source also observes that Meghan is ‘cheap’ or stingy in British parlance. ‘She is the cheapest!’ the insider exclaims.’

It’s all a bit medieval, court of King Hal processing around the country bankrupting hosts whilst sprinkling Royal favour as they go.

They’re lucky traitors no longer find themselves locked up in the Tower of London.

bluegreygreen · 16/05/2026 15:42

Yes, the complete absence of the 'stalwarts' is strange.

I was vaguely wondering (cue conspiracy theory!) if it was another reflection of the financial issues the Sussexes are having.

If they did happen to be paying a PR/engagement company (or others) for online services they may have been reduced. Is the Sussex Squad still as active elsewhere?

Or perhaps the funding has simply been diverted from forum interactions to magazine articles?

I really DON'T like the attacks or implications that Spanokopita was not genuine or a fool.

She posted here for a long time, and extensively shared her experience in what appeared good faith.

If she left because she felt her opinion was unpopular and it felt it was getting personal I totally understand that.

I remember when I suggested on here that M was a Hustler. God it made me want to leave and never come back with the outrage that caused! Anyone remember HustlerGate on here?😂

I did come back though as this is favourite place to indulge my M&H gossip. But maybe Spanokopita just has better things to do than argue on the Internet about H&M?

Edited to include the important DON'T!!😬

Edited

I agree with you but I can’t see that anyone has referred to her as a fool.

noonames · 16/05/2026 15:50

I also don’t remember her opinion being unpopular or anything getting personal - she gave an opinion, some agreed, some didn’t. I was one who disagreed and explained why. There wasn’t any unpleasantness, it was all very civilised.

It was great having an insight into a world I knew absolutely nothing about.

Indeed, I disagreed too , no unpleasant words were spoken to my recollection.

I do wonder if M's transactional friendships have come home to roost. People , no matter how rich , mostly don't want to think they are being taken advantage of. The Royal favour they can sprinkle has hugely diminished.

jeffgoldblum · 16/05/2026 16:14

There is still occasionally an attempt at a drive by scolding!

Not2identifying · 16/05/2026 16:19

I'm another one who really enjoyed reading Spanokopita's posts even when I disagreed and can't remember any unpleasantness. On the contrary, every so often someone will say how much she's missed. If she's still reading, I'd imagine she'd be touched to see how many remember her and miss her.

noonames · 16/05/2026 16:23

I also would like to see serenster around a bit more often - the other one of spectre’s main targets who absolutely did not take that shit 🙌😂
I do see them posting occasionally tho.

Not2identifying · 16/05/2026 16:29

I liked Serenester too.
