The ongoing dramas from Montecito courtesy of H&M.

I can’t see another thread but I made the same mistake last time …

Didn't Harry and Meghan want to visit the Irwin's on the fauxtour of Australia but were refused?

Such shade when it seems they are not even considered worthy of naming a kangaroo these days. 😎

Yes, hence 'Oops'.

noonames · 07/05/2026 19:46

Lovely story. Sounds like they might be learning a bit of incidental Welsh 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿😍

Interesting. I assume MM would file for divorce in California, under California law which defaults to a 50/50 property split and H could not take the children out of the state without her permission.

H / the Palace could ask her to sign a voluntary NDA but why would she unless they were offering a cast-iron guarantee she'd get far more than they're legally obliged to give her and the kids? Would she trust the RF to deliver lots of future discretionary assets for the rest of her life? Also there's her personality - if she didn't want to keep her mouth zipped and stay out of the spotlight to work as a real royal, why would she want to post-divorce?

She could have various leverage: the kids, obviously, should H wish to relocate to the UK or elsewhere, but also the prospect of her forcing him to court - with all sorts of disclosures - for the divorce settlement if they tried to get difficult over her not signing an NDA.

She might prefer to take a punt on being in control and making her own money from her autobiography and reality media etc. Bringing the kids in when they're old enough to consent. If H objects to her talking about the marriage or previously undisclosed royal gossip that's tricky - he's already broken a lot of boundaries himself and I'd have thought the RF (who would have to financially back H in demanding terms) are not going to want to fight her in messy Depp / Heard type defamation suits where she spills all the tea H has indiscreetly told her and drags the RF through more unwelcome publicity.

While she's unpopular right now with previous backers, I think OW et al could strategically rally round if she has content for them.

She's got him over a barrel in this scenario. As many people predicted when it was announced they were making California their home. William won't want to pay out the kind of money she'd ask for to get total silence. Plus she knows they're unlikely to sue so why comply with any agreement? Best for the RF to stick with the 'recollections may vary' approach.

Not2identifying · 07/05/2026 20:12

I'm not completely sure the RF would be in Harry's corner in the event of a divorce. The optics might be that they're helping a rich white man with a history of drug-taking take the kids off their mixed-race mother.

I do believe they'd ensure he's never homeless but I would imagine it'd be something like Andrew's house, tucked away somewhere in exchange for keeping his mouth shut.

I wouldn't trust M not to do what the hell she wanted no matter how much money or NDAs were thrown at her. If she's been the type to live quietly they could have done it before now on the money they've had. If (and I hope not) H&M were to divorce , if I were Charles or William I'd let H&M divide their assets and if needs be lend H a bolt hole for when he came over here.

Andylion · 07/05/2026 21:05

Indianrollerbird · 07/05/2026 17:30

Also no Jamie Kern Lima, who has given Meghan use of her private jet and gave her a platform to flog her runny spread.

I have never seen Shonda Rhimes associated with MM. Or Melody Hobson.

The last bit of gossip from Beefgate was that Nicole Avant can’t stand her.

Oprah is a shark. Even though she knows MM lied her way through that interview (which is why it’s been wiped from the internet), she’s hanging on for her Martin Bashir moment. “There were 3 people in this marriage: me, Harry and the talking bin.”

The three people in that marriage are Meghan, Harry and Diana.

Just as well. They'd probably name it Princess Megsie Saint-Diana Freedomflight.

I can just imagine Harry, with a total lack of awareness of the irony, expect the 'men in grey suits' to step in and fight his corner should it all go in the direction of an acrimonious split (would any other kind even be possible?) He might be shocked to find he isn't considered a priceless jewel worth protecting at any cost now.

OtherS · 07/05/2026 21:14

But would anyone actually believe her? If she came out with a load of scurrilous gossip about the RF, I imagine it would just be dismissed as 'her truth' and therefore meaningless. She's lied so many times, and be publicly shown to have done so, that nobody other than her most devoted fans believes anything she comes out with. And even if H has told her juicy stuff, if he denies it or says he made it up, there's really not much she can do. So it's only him that the RF need to control in the event of divorce, and at that point it shouldn't be too tricky as he'll need to agree to anything they ask to not be left with nothing.

They will and it would be only right too. He'll have option but to be squirrelled away like AMW. He wouldn't survive in America It would be unfair on the kids to be uprooted.

Starryfifty · 07/05/2026 21:16

I think there is four people, Harry, Meghan, Diana and Murkus and my spelling of his name is intentional.

Actually, that's so true. And it would only be a matter of time before the joey was used to merch a candle named after its birthdate, infused with notes of fur, pouch secretions and Castlemaine XXXX. Don't worry, only the back of the joey's head will be photographed for marketing purposes.

ShamedBySiri · 07/05/2026 22:01

I feel so sorry for William and Catherine. Report today that AMW has been threatened by a balaclava wearing man with a weapon (who has been arrested).
As if it's not bad enough having your obnoxious uncle dumped in a house just down the road from you, it has clearly ramped up security risks. Their holiday country idyll, where they ramble in the forest and go for family bike rides has become a lot less idyllic.

ShamedBySiri · 07/05/2026 22:04

Also I am getting adverts for Elizabeth Arden 8 hour lip balm on this thread! 😂

Not2identifying · 07/05/2026 22:06

That is such a sweet and wholesome story with the Irwins. A reminder that the Wales have a connection with Australia that does not depend on cheap looking and desperate hotel conference events.

ShamedBySiri · 07/05/2026 18:19

It's too late for that. Those children will never have life with the rest of the family similar to the one he enjoyed as a child. For that to happen the family would have to welcome H&M back with open arms and that is never going to happen even if Charles would like some sort of reconciliation. Also, in so far as people don't trust H or M enough to talk about anything more controversial than the weather, the same will apply to the children unfortunately - not because they may be seen to be untrustworthy, but because children can innocently repeat information/overheard snippets of conversation etc. I wouldn't want my children playing with them - they go back to Meghan and say SiriChild said.... or Meghan asks re: SiriChild and gets an unsuspecting truthful answer.

I think this will hurt friendships, because I wouldn't trust my private information with them (that is, if I was rich and interesting and had kids in their school)
