The ongoing dramas from Montecito courtesy of H&M.

I can’t see another thread but I made the same mistake last time …

I wonder if that's thanks to the Sentebale fall out.

I think there enough rumours about working with both to give most professional people some pause.

I can't remember where I read it but there was an interview with a guy who had been hounded by recruiters trying to headhunt him for the "Head of Communications & Engagement" job for Invictus Games Birmingham.

He was very sceptical about it
Firstly this role needed to be filled 18-24 months before the event - rather than 12 months out which seemed very disorganised.
Secondly the salary for such a big and visible role was very low £60K a year
Thirdly - it is a poisoned chalice job - putting your professional reputation on the line for a poorly organized event
Finally - they were very coy and initially refused to say who the job was with and became evasive when he asked if it was IG - when they finally admitted it was IG and Harry ... he was definitely out

The billionaire friend (Victoria Jackson) who lent Meghan her house for the Harper's Bazaar interview isn't mentioned in the '4 women' article.

Does that mean she's closer in or further out?

Also no Jamie Kern Lima, who has given Meghan use of her private jet and gave her a platform to flog her runny spread.

I have never seen Shonda Rhimes associated with MM. Or Melody Hobson.

The last bit of gossip from Beefgate was that Nicole Avant can’t stand her.

Oprah is a shark. Even though she knows MM lied her way through that interview (which is why it’s been wiped from the internet), she’s hanging on for her Martin Bashir moment. “There were 3 people in this marriage: me, Harry and the talking bin.”

bluegreygreen · 07/05/2026 17:34

Yes, @Lunde - we discussed an article about that in a previous thread. I've just been looking for it (unsuccessfully). I think it must be the origin of this week's conversation between Froelich and Sykes.

Pretty sure I read that she has distanced herself

Brilliant!

I wonder if Harry will one day claim their marriage was never the same since Meghan developed her affection for the singing seals?

What are you all seeing that’s so awful? There’s a bank of greenery in front of the mountain. It looks like a beach in late afternoon light, when the tide has gone out and there are a few pools of water left.

I wouldn't say it's 'awful' but it's not beautiful either, nor is it a place really suited to young kids. There must be many more beautiful beaches near them. They live in Southern California after all!

But what's really unappealing about the image isn't so much the landscape as the general sense of loneliness and lack of connection. Two small children, with no family, no friends, no pets, no community. It's just sad.

My source, who was contacted independently about the job, said: “If they need a marketing and communications expert to sort them out with only a year to go… that’s not looking good. Anyone able to make a difference will need six months to a year to leave their job. Anyone available right now… I’d say would not have the experience.”
My source, who commands over $150,000 a year (per client) as a consultant, noted the advertised salary was “interesting” as it is only for £36,000-60,000 for what is basically an 18-month role. “The job was until 2027, so an 18-month role. In London? Why not on the ground in Birmingham?”
“No one good will take this on,” my source added. While my source was contacted by an agency, the source said, “When the recruitment team spoke to me, they would not tell me it was Invictus until I told them I needed to know, as the reputation of the organization was important to me.”
“They said it had a connection to a royal couple who got involved with the staff, and that’s all they would say. So, I said if it’s Prince Harry or Meghan Markle, ‘it’s a no’ — and they said thank you and goodbye.”

Harry will be the one whining that ‘there were three of us in the marriage: me, Meg, and Markus. I thought Meg was the reincarnation of my mother, when actually it was me. Reincarnation crosses gender lines, I realise now; but for a while back then I was led astray in my grief that Meg manipulated and twisted <sobs> <checks autocue>’

I don’t think he will ever leave. I think Meghan will leave him.

MyAutumnCrow · 07/05/2026 17:55

And talking of Invictus, the local elections today/tonight are going to be interesting for Birmingham. There may be even more of a hostile environment on the horizon for The Invictus Family of Nations Inc, financially and politically.

True - but he wrote spare - so has he got any credibility left and has he got anything left that's publishable.

I'd say Harry's credibility is in the toilet, but obviously don't know if he has anything else to publish - though didn't he say he had enough for two volumes?

The second point follows from the first though, in that I doubt anyone with sense would now take anything he has to say as the truth, so apart from its entertainment value there's little point in saying it

Yes he did make a few idle threats after he lost his Ravec case. I would have assumed he'd back down a bit after his sister in law's cancer diagnosis but he's too bitter uy

ShamedBySiri · 07/05/2026 18:19

Starryfifty · 07/05/2026 13:54

Constant contradictions ffs.

Then perhaps write a heartfelt apology to your brother, dad, mother and sister in law, for the sake of your children but of course not

It's too late for that. Those children will never have life with the rest of the family similar to the one he enjoyed as a child. For that to happen the family would have to welcome H&M back with open arms and that is never going to happen even if Charles would like some sort of reconciliation. Also, in so far as people don't trust H or M enough to talk about anything more controversial than the weather, the same will apply to the children unfortunately - not because they may be seen to be untrustworthy, but because children can innocently repeat information/overheard snippets of conversation etc. I wouldn't want my children playing with them - they go back to Meghan and say SiriChild said.... or Meghan asks re: SiriChild and gets an unsuspecting truthful answer.

ShamedBySiri · 07/05/2026 18:22

Security at Birmingham is going to be a nightmare - only the other night a Peter Kay show had to be evacuated shortly towards the end due to a bomb scare.

Lady Colin C (yes, I know) 🙄 was on a podcast and Harry told his friends that this happened and it's why he wouldn't meet T markle

And yet he was to walk her down the aisle.

KC is said to be delighted at the prospect of the kids being educated in UK 🙄

Harry is so dumb. His son and Louis are so close in age. It could have been a lovely friendship

My 8 grandchildren are aged between 4 and 21 and tonight I have the 5 youngest here. They’re aged between 4 and almost 12. My heart is singing at the sight of them and the pleasure they each get from their cousin gang.

Difference being - IF (& it's a big if because I wouldn't wish divorce on anyone) her autobiography was post divorce - her settlement would depend entirely on money from the BRF. And it would come complete with a HUGE and watertight NDA.

Anything she says outwith that situation (2nd hand from Harry) would be watered down versions of Spare and as ripe for ridicule as it was.

Interesting. I assume MM would file for divorce in California, under California law which defaults to a 50/50 property split and H could not take the children out of the state without her permission.

H / the Palace could ask her to sign a voluntary NDA but why would she unless they were offering a cast-iron guarantee she'd get far more than they're legally obliged to give her and the kids? Would she trust the RF to deliver lots of future discretionary assets for the rest of her life? Also there's her personality - if she didn't want to keep her mouth zipped and stay out of the spotlight to work as a real royal, why would she want to post-divorce?

She could have various leverage: the kids, obviously, should H wish to relocate to the UK or elsewhere, but also the prospect of her forcing him to court - with all sorts of disclosures - for the divorce settlement if they tried to get difficult over her not signing an NDA.

She might prefer to take a punt on being in control and making her own money from her autobiography and reality media etc. Bringing the kids in when they're old enough to consent. If H objects to her talking about the marriage or previously undisclosed royal gossip that's tricky - he's already broken a lot of boundaries himself and I'd have thought the RF (who would have to financially back H in demanding terms) are not going to want to fight her in messy Depp / Heard type defamation suits where she spills all the tea H has indiscreetly told her and drags the RF through more unwelcome publicity.

While she's unpopular right now with previous backers, I think OW et al could strategically rally round if she has content for them.

MyAutumnCrow · 07/05/2026 19:20

I think Harry’s paternal family’s best bet is to continue the silence / grey rock / recollections may vary / we do not recognise this narrative strategy.

Eventually one or both of H or M will cross a legal line and it’s titles gone. ‘With regret we acknowledge that H&M no longer wish to be part of this family, and we therefore acquiesce to their wishes in removing their familial titles, styles and honours. We wish them all well in their lives overseas.’
