PR disasters of Meghan and Harry.

Left off at the last page with Meg selling candles to people who want to know what her young children smell like. She’s also using the kids full titles in the press release….just for a dash of extra exploitation.

As you were

I am confused about all the chatter around Harry and his wife returning to the RF. It was only about a week ago, in Australia, he was saying what a terrible, terrible life he had in the RF. I thought that when someone actually says they don’t want to be in an institution, and the institution has been damaged by that individual and has not said it wants them to return, that there’s no possibility they will be returning. I am a simple sort of person, though, so maybe I have misunderstood how the world works.

Recklessismymiddlename · 24/04/2026 06:21

I think of Harry and then another brother, George Duke of Clarence, that was a similar personality & thorn in the side of a king. I often wonder what the modern equivalent is to drowning in vat of wine. Harry is lucky he’s in the 21st century and not in the 15th.

PigglyWigglyOhYeah · 24/04/2026 06:24

Yes. I suspect he would have already had his appointment on Tower Green (or Tower Hill, if a public spectacle were required) with the axeman.

It only seems to be one journalist, Richard Eden, who keeps raising the topic. No idea why but it's probably clickbait.

A couple of thoughts:

If Trump is the one producing a diplomatic, tactful response that doesn't upset his allies, Harry looks even worse.

I do think the fact that Trump is, for him, being polite in the way he points out that Harry didn't speak for the UK shows a couple of things, that he genuinely has respect for Charles and the monarchy and that this respect, which reflects the soft power often mentioned, goes a small way towards protecting the UK from his more extreme responses.

I remember a commentator after the recent State visit saying that it had earned the UK the right to disagree with Trump without reprisals. It seems it also have us lee way when a minor royal shouts his mouth off.

Lifestooshort71 · 24/04/2026 07:02

My thoughts (a bit random as it's early and pre-coffee)

  1. IF H&M ever came back to rejoin the RF, in any capacity, there would be enough gawpers and forelock-tuggers to make a sizeable crown cheering them on to disguise any negativity so they will think they're popular.
  1. A&L will never pose any problem to the RF because they live in the US where titles are meaningless. They will never party with their RF cousins or attend royal events so will not be relevant. What they get up to in the US will not reflect on the RF as they will never be seen as royal regardless of their titles. Removing them would be seen as spiteful and vindictive when the long game will do the trick.

Coffee time ☕️

Trump's view on Harry's input (I think he's done it well)

Fox News on Twitter

For Trump that’s a very good response.

Thedom · 24/04/2026 07:31

The RF needs a major shake up, I would expect Charles and the men in grey suits are working on a plan now, with government input. I don’t think it will come across as vindictive or spiteful, on the contrary I think it will be welcomed by the British public after the York debacle and now Harry’s antics, all unseemly entitled behaviour, the long standing promises of modernising the monarchy needs to happen soon, and there has never been a better opportunity to do it.

I don't agree. The problem is they have upset the 'forelock-tuggers'. The very people that line the streets to wave to Royalty.
If they come back they will also upset those that believed in a 'freedom flight'

Harry had delivered his lengthy, impassioned speech at the Kyiv Security Forum on Thursday, saying that he was “not here as a politician” but as “a soldier who understands service” and a “humanitarian”.

My god, who is writing his speeches?

The world and their mother know he is not there as a politician, because he isn’t one ! We also know he isn’t much of a humanitarian, while his wife uses tragic circumstances to sell the clothes off her back, we also know Harry doesn’t have much honour or compassion because we saw him try to destroy the reputation of, and wound, his very own family.

We also know everything he does is from a PR perspective to try to elevate his own miserable existence.

How is Harry a humanitarian?

Because he says he is !!

How is Harry a humanitarian?

I would have said the very opposite, because he doesn't care for people. His relationships are not healthy and he exploits his position for personal gain.

BasiliskStare · 24/04/2026 08:54

I can't find a picture which I can copy - but Harry does put me in mind of Cartman in South Park - "Respect mah Authoritah!"

HoldMyWine · 24/04/2026 08:55

He became a humanitarian when Meghan told him that he is one.

I would agree. They've got some hardline fans, we've seen them on here and some of the....more devoted posts, shall we say.
However, they are remembering the enormous goodwill and support they had from the UK public and probably imagine that could be rekindled. It's been squandered.

HoldMyWine · 24/04/2026 08:56

I wouldn’t even call the WRF humanitarians. To me humanitarians are the people working in war zones delivering aid and medical relief.

Yes. The working RF never call themselves humanitarians, for that very good reason!
Harry uses words which he thinks sound good and put him in the best light.

Exactly. They meet all these real humanitarians and fail to see the difference between themselves and the real thing. It beggars belief.

You're right, and it just shows both their extraordinary arrogance, but also their ignorance. Did they think the Australian trip was a humanitarian effort, in any way?

I very much hope so. Harry is becoming a bigger clown day by day.

Thedom · 24/04/2026 09:20

They are circling the drain. Yet again, an event has been overshadowed by Harry making a laughing stock of himself.

The headlines are all about Trump slapping Harry down and emphasising how irrelevant he is. Even the reporter who asked the question was doing it for the fun of it.

Neither of them bring any positivity, it’s just negative attention, everyone can see through their ineffective PR spin.
