Elizabeth I
Victoria
Elizabeth II

All the girl power! I bet we’d have a great conversation. And gosh, all the changes these women must have seen in the world during their long reigns. Would be fascinating to hear them chat to each other as well as to me.

DiddleyDeeDee · 17/04/2026 09:54

Princess Margaret
Mary Queen of Scots
Queen Charlotte

Dogpootwo · 17/04/2026 09:54

Henry VIII but I’d keep myself alert at all times
then Queen Victoria and Albert could come too

champagnetrial · 17/04/2026 09:58

I'd have Diana for sure. Also Camilla. There would be no awkward silences because I would also have the the lovely late Katharine, Duchess of Kent as peace-maker and advocate. Plus, we could talk about tennis.

Genghis Khan. I want to know if he is handsome with great cheekbones.

Of the more recent-ish royals

Princess Alice, Countess of Athlone - she attended 4 coronations and had 6 monarchs in her lifetime from Queen Victoria (her grandmother) to QEII (her great niece. She would have some stories!

Queen Louise of Sweden - sister to Earl Mountbatten and Princess Alice (Prince Philip’s mother) she was born Princess Louise of Battenberg, then changed to Lady Louise Mountbatten. She married the Swedish crown prince, became the leading lady in Sweden after his mother’s death and then became Queen. She was viewed as eccentric and spoke out in the 20s about gender equality and had opinions on Rasputin.

Duchess of Gloucester - what’s it really like when you marry the younger son of a Duke, thinking you’ll live with your posh architect husband and get the chance to wear some spectacular jewels a few times a year at royal events, then just six weeks later have his brother die and totally change your future.

corblimeygvnr · 17/04/2026 10:20

Catherine de Medici
Queen Elizabeth I
Queen Elizabeth II

I would like to potter around talking to plants with the King. All sorts of plants. And not talking about anything else.

Diana - What do you make of how your pair of lazy, grasping and entitled sons turned out?

Oh, and also:

What were you going to do 'next'?

Marry a rich bloke would be my guess.

Serenity75 · 17/04/2026 10:23

King Arthur (to see if he was real)
Richard 3rd (to see how badly Shakespeare did him wrong)
Anne of cleeves (because her singing Six makes her sound fascinating)
if Arthur wasn’t real the Charles 2nd as I think he’d make a great dinner guest.

Mamalasira · 17/04/2026 10:23

Margaret Beaufort
Eleanor of Aquitaine
Princess Alice, mother of Philip.

Monty36 · 17/04/2026 10:51

Elizabeth of York ( wife of Henry VII)
Edward V
Edward the IV

ginasevern · 17/04/2026 10:54

Mary Queen of Scots
Charles II
Boudica

OttersOnAPlane · 17/04/2026 10:58

Eleanor of Aquitaine

Catherine de Medici
Empress Livia

All frequently maligned, especially Livia, so I would LOVE to hear their stories rather than the patriarchal spin.

WhatterySquash · 17/04/2026 11:07

Definitely QE1 and QE2, because it would be amazing to be able to introduce them and hear their chat. Then I’d add in a really ancient queen like Kubaba of Kish (if she existed) or Hatshepsut - just because I’m fascinated with life in ancient times and would have loads of questions. (Plus a translator…)

Sourisblanche · 17/04/2026 11:16

Marie Antoinette - did you say let them eat cake ou non Madame?

Katherine Swynford

William the Conquerer

Also, Anne Boleyn if allowed a 4th.

Bichette · 17/04/2026 11:39

Richard 3
Elizabeth 1
Eleanor of Aquitaine

GoldenCupsatHarvestTime · 17/04/2026 11:42

Anne Boleyn, Mary and Elizabeth Tudor. Just to watch the sparks fly 😂

ginasevern · 17/04/2026 11:46

@CathyorClaire Indeed. Diana told the press shortly before she died to expect some very interesting news (or words to that affect). We'll never know.

I thought Katherine Swynford, but there are too many to choose from! Margaret Beaufort her descendant would have been another…

Friendlygingercat · 17/04/2026 14:43

Elizabeth I
Catherine de Medici
Princess Diana

CesarSoubreyon · 17/04/2026 16:12

I'd build up a tolerance to Iocane powder and then invite Andrew MW.

LuxuryWoman2020 · 17/04/2026 16:21

Prince William of Gloucester, so handsome!
Queen Maxima because I think she'd be great fun.
Queen Victoria because lots of good food

Myrealnameisbetty · 17/04/2026 19:26

Wallace Simpson
Prince Albert (Victoria's husband)
Queen Alexandra

Many more but those three would be invited first 🫅
