PR Disasters of the The Duke and Duchess of Sussex continued :

  • So far we have Meg using charity events/sick children/vulnerable adults to merch her fashion, with the launch of her new fashion platform
  • She will be appearing on MasterChef Australia
  • Harry claiming to have had therapy when Archie was born, even though he never sought MH help for his ill wife a few short months earlier.

My understanding of it was that they we're told they couldn't remain as part time working Royals, defined as representing the monarch, whilst engaging in commercial activities. They were also not allowed to use the HRH.

They are using their titles, without HRH, for money, but that is what Fergie has done for years and no one thought she was half in half out. I do think that half the problem is that palace definitions are really labyrinthine and people expected that the Sandringham agreement meant they couldn't earn money with the Sussex title at all whereas the bit the palace was focused on was them stopping representing the monarch or having royal patronages if they were going commercial.

The queen said no ! , you are in or out , no monetisation of titles! , it was a gentleman’s agreement with someone who isn’t a gentleman!

jeffgoldblum · 15/04/2026 22:15

And let’s not use the Yorks as a baseline eh! Look how that has turned out!!!

LondonRidge · 15/04/2026 22:41

Actually I think comparing MM to SF is completely fair…. Out of anyone who has been in or involved with the RF they have most in common.

Recklessismymiddlename · 15/04/2026 23:04

One day I hope the pair get their comeuppance. But it’s looking increasingly unlikely imo.

I am re-reading a book about Diana I read years ago (and have found 2nd hand on Amazon) It is by a pair of documentary-makers and is very measured and fair to both Charles and Diana which is why I wanted to re-read it.

They say that in the Andrew Morton book, Diana claims she was in despair and threatened suicide, Charles said he was sick of her threats and was going riding. Diana threw herself down a whole flight of stairs, the Queen was terrified and shaking and called the Doctor, but Charles went riding without even waiting to see if she was OK.

However, someone who was actually there saw Diana trip and fall accidentally down three steps. This was what was reported at the time. Charles was very solicitous and called the Doctor - I think it might have said he went out after the Doctor said Diana and the baby were fine.

Diana later denied saying the above, because she said no pregnant woman would do such a thing due to the risk to her unborn baby. There was accordingly a backlash against Andrew Morton, who then had to produce his tapes and, yeah, she said it.

JSMill · 16/04/2026 06:27

SF did monetise her title, which was grubby, but these two are far worse because they are still acting like royals with their appearances at hospitals etc while undertaking commercial work in the same trip. I absolutely think that they should lose the Sussex title as it is an honorary title given on the understanding they would be spending their lives in public service. It’s ridiculous that it is apparently so easy to give but so difficult to remove.

PigglyWigglyOhYeah · 16/04/2026 06:28

Christ alive, she’s banging on about how she’s the most victimised victim in the history of victimhood again. Something I’ve never understood - if she doesn’t like what people say about her online, then why bother reading it? It’s easy enough to avoid - turn your phone off and get on with enjoying your marvellous life. One wonders what the effect on those children will be of being brought up by two of the most badly treated, maligned, tortured professional sufferers the world has ever seen.

So Diana lied on tape and was caught out and Charles didn't behave like a monster? I'm sure I must have known this but it's worth being reminded, thank you!

The trouble is they have to remove the Prince title as well if they remove the Sussex title. Otherwise Harry stays Prince Harry and Meghan becomes Princess Harry though of course she’d style herself Princess Meghan. It’s practically a promotion! She’d adore being a princess.

whattheflipz · 16/04/2026 06:41

The most trolled woman in the world - any reason why??
Can you image the conversations these two have ????
omg my head is going to explode

LazyCatLtd · 16/04/2026 06:45

I feel very sorry for their children.

GloiredeDijon · 16/04/2026 06:53

Puzzledandpissedoff · 15/04/2026 13:21

I thought his tone of voice was unpleasant - bit patronising , bit overbearing , bit "my word it final". Deeply unattractive
It's a bit like when in interviews he ends a lot of his sentences in "right?" . As if - I have spoken - what I say cannot be gainsaid"

Precisely, @BasiliskStare - the royal arrogance on full display, but without the sense to save it for behind closed doors

Various accounts confirm he has always been very short tempered which is a terrible combination with his lack of intelligence and entitlement.
Every time we hear him speak I am thankful that he was born second.

Well maybe the witness lied . . .

Remember when Meg relayed her shock about have to wear pantyhose as a working Royal.

She’s literally trolling the RF. Although, again…..not a great outfit choice 😬

Also at the mental health summit, more nuggets from the Harry include:

  • Being a working Royal killed Diana. That’s interesting seen as she wasn’t when she died and had she been, she wouldn’t have been in that car.
  • Saying what everyone knows already: ’When I was invited to speak at this summit, I wasn’t sure whether I was expected to speak as someone who, despite everything, has their s* together,' he said.'Or as someone who, despite what it may look like, actually doesn’t have his shit together’.….we all know Harry that you’re a moody middle-aged man with stunted emotional intelligence …we know you ain’t got your shit together.

😂, everyone knows he doesn’t have his shit together. How can he think he looks like he has his shit together, he appears to be medicated with prescription or recreational drugs permanently, talks loads of bullshit, can’t hold an intelligent conversation and has a wife who publicly bullies and humiliates him, and now to add to that, has a little son who cries when he sees him.

Its some crazy shit !

I feel for Archie. It is already the narrative that his mother wanted to kill herself whilst pregnant with him. And now his father is wanging on about being disassociated from him and struggling with parenthood.
the poor kid doesn't need to know any of that never mind it being served up.for public consumption as a money making opportunity.
They should have insulated him completely from all that.

You are right but it should be remembered that Diana famously claimed to have thrown herself down the stairs whilst pregnant with William, although most involved agree this was in fact an accident which she rewrote to better fit her narrative in the Andrew Morton book.

MM loves to copy Diana in order to press H’s psychological buttons.

I often think that Harry has the worst of his mother’s nature, ie emotional lability, impulsivity, gullibility and limited critical thinking without her best bits such as her integrity, kindness, humour and lack of pretension.

Jeez, another ugly outfit.

I think the tights are her trolling, she does that a lot.

I find her clothes psychologically fascinating. She is an attractive woman with a good figure. With her own style, she could look sexy, glamorous and gorgeous. But instead of having fun and dressing to suit her shape and colouring, it’s like she is trying to become someone else; taller, skinnier, cooler, wealthier. In some ways she reminds me of Michael Jackson trying to become Diana Ross. Except that instead of trying to become someone she admires, Meghan is aping her nemesis. Kate is tall & skinny, Meghan, shorter and curvier. Her attempts to out Kate, Kate cannot work.

I think you are right.

The navy dress looked so good on her, but the rest are shockingly bad, I think the designers won’t be too happy at the negativity, even if they do get their name out there and get a few more hits on their platforms.

There is another photo of her dressed casually in trainers and she looks tiny, certainly not the 5’7 she is reported to be, probably more like 5’2,or 5’3, so it does look like she thinks she is taller than she is, anyway she will never be a style icon, that’s for sure.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 15/04/2026 20:29

I suspect you could be right, MrsLF, and would fully expect this to be used if they really wanted to bring him back

I'd also expect the current "Nooooo we don't want him here" to turn very quickly into "It's time to move on and don't you want a sick man to get proper care"

The rehab efforts worked for Camilla and they could work again ...

Possibly if Chiseled is still in charge but I think Harry has completely burnt his boats with William. Camilla took a lot of time and effort and patience, working with her charities, quietly accepting she couldn't have public recognition for her relationship, for years and years. I cant see Harry doing that at all.

MrsLeonFarrell · 16/04/2026 08:12

BigWillyLittleTodger · 15/04/2026 20:30

And that worked out well with Fergie didnt it.

It doesn't work out with Fergie at all but her downfall didn't come from selling things as the Duchess of York but because of who she associated with. People just accepted her projects with a shrug and distain. That is where i think Harry is heading, indifference and distain from the public. The more he shows his anger and entitlement the quicker it will happen, he is already halfway there.
