PR Disasters of the The Duke and Duchess of Sussex continued :

  • So far we have Meg using charity events/sick children/vulnerable adults to merch her fashion, with the launch of her new fashion platform
  • She will be appearing on MasterChef Australia
  • Harry claiming to have had therapy when Archie was born, even though he never sought MH help for his ill wife a few short months earlier.

I’m not sure if this was just for the chat, but this was the night of the gala dinner. This is what she wore?

Ready to change the top for the rugby. Looks like the same trousers.

I couldn't agree more with @StillSpartacus and @MissFenellaPrism . I suspect Camilla will retire quietly to Ray Mill House and be very content. I wouldn't be surprised if she keeps up some of her charities/ causes , eg DV / Osteoporosis and literacy. I genuinely don't think the royal trappings interest her.

I remember a poster once saying they thought Camilla put up with the Royal flummery because of the man , M puts up with the man because of the Royal flummery (I'm paraphrasing ) . But M does seem to enjoy the Royal cosplay.

Wouldn’t surprise me.

I really thought the Diana was a perfect angel victim of the dastardly Camilla narrative would have faded by now. Diana was a human woman with flaws like everyone else, she lied and exaggerated, she was treated badly and treated others badly, she slept with married men and broke up marriages. It was a nasty, messy situation in which no one was innocent and no one should bear the sole blame.

I didn't read Spare but I got impression that Charles is vilified and Diana is sainted. She was by know means a stable adult in her sons' lives. However, it suits Harry's narrative to vilify KC

BigWillyLittleTodger · 17/04/2026 13:44

What’s happened to her teeth? they are luminous!

TheAutumnCrow · 17/04/2026 13:48

I'm thinking more of Harry giving spiteful interviews about Camilla, making accusations, 'leaking and planting stories' with nasty allegations, raking over his past hurts as 'his truth', when Camilla will soon be in her 80s and - eventually - trying to live a pleasant, quiet, discreet retirement as pp say.

We've already seen the 'marriage wrecker' narrative being posited on here by one of our resident derailers. I think it's a stupid tactic, btw, given that Diana was a serial invader of other people's marriages. It's all best laid to rest in the past where it belongs, for all of them, seen as a historical curiosity of the age.

Harry is the kind of man, I believe, who wants to be inside the tent pissing in.

MissFenellaPrism · 17/04/2026 13:54

They don't, Jeff. It's wishful thinking. Their dream is to be working royals with the additional merching, but we've seen how shit they are at it on this trip.
It's a no go.

AtIusvue · 17/04/2026 13:55

They think they’re getting away with it….because the RF aren’t stepping in, so they’ve got exactly what they’ve wanted- seen as royals while exploiting commercial ventures. Half in half out.

The RF need to shut this shit down and remove titles

has anyone seen this!! Explain to me how exactly they get to decide this!

Viewed as a huge success 😂- by who?

And this is an example of the pro Sussex bias I see so often in the MSM. There's no way anyone unbiased would describe it as a success.

RF won't do anything unfortunately. Look how long it took to strip AMW !

There's a lot of pro Sussex stuff in the DM now, since they started leaking information to them. They need the tabloids and are prepared to give them info.
Even the BBC report was cloying and sycophantic this lunchtime - no notion that these people aren't working royals and really had no business promoting themselves on the back of others' misfortune.

She looks like so many people now do with those massive, ultra-white inplants. My dentist showed me, as I will need to choose at some point between a molar crown and an inplant, and you pick them out of a catalogue. Some of the top sets look enormous to start with, and my dentist said they are aesthetically unsuitable for a lot of people who have previously had or subsequently have a fair bit of 'work' or surgery done on their teeth, jaw and face, e.g. they can look a bit protruding.

(I've had operations as a child, so no inplants for me! I'm not sorry, though.)

Starryfifty · 17/04/2026 14:03

The trip does seem to be successful for them. They weren't booed. Made cash, which is their ultimate goal.

AtIusvue · 17/04/2026 12:36

Doesn’t that say, brunch in Monticeto with your rich gal pals …rather than a gala dinner where people are spending thousands to see you?

I think it's her best look yet!
And I can't stand her.

Why is it even on the BBC news? They rarely report on other royal visits unless a state one yet they get their own report? I’m so sick of them never being called out for anything by the MSM and in fact are constantly promoted.

Exactly. It was quite a long segment - very positive, and no question whatsoever about why H&M are doing a tour. It was very pro Sussex. They've certainly never covered any of Sophie's work like this.

That's an op-ed piece, fed to a friendly journalist by the Sussexes.

At no point is anything quoted from anyone official at BP or KP.

This is Handrew & Mergie manifesting their vision. They've done this numerous times since 2020. And they're still OutOut.

If Rebecca English did a piece like that I'd tend to believe it. Victoria Ward just writes what the Sussexes tell her.

Which makes me think project thaw is a thing and the RF are looking to rehabilitate them? Immune impressed of they are.

I seriously doubt it. They really aren't the kind of people that the RF would be able to trust now, nor the government to act on their behalf. It's not going to happen, no matter how many pet journalists tell the story.

MrsFinkelstein · 17/04/2026 14:35

I wonder how Victoria Ward defines success? Crowd size? Despite the quote in her article, there definitely wasn't hundreds - maybe she should fact check a bit better.

I dont think so - the DM have always mixed in pro articles alongside negative.

Harry is also suing them currently, judgement awaited - so they may just be being cautious just now.

They have Bryony Roberts and Liz Jones frequently writing very favourable pieces about them.
