At least we now know the real reason Meghan was there, and at the shelter later.

It was to promote her new collaboration with an online fashion retailer.

Now, you too can look like Meghan while visiting sick children.

Yes, I saw that. I'm amazed at the cost of that awful brown outfit. Sometimes she looks great, but that genuinely was awful and unflattering.
Maybe it'll make her money, though.

She’s been doing this since her pre Harry pay for play charity tours to Rwanda and India. Using other people’s tragedy as a fashion backdrop.

Indianrollerbird · 15/04/2026 07:48

It’s beyond disgusting. Hopefully this will be beyond the pale for the press who have remained supportive. As for Charles: remove them and the links to their websites from the royal website. Do it today, otherwise you are complicit in this exploitation.

It’s actually really insulting and borderline racist that Meghans fans have to create fake ai pictures of what they think she should look like! , she looks fine naturally and I can’t imagine it makes her feel happy that they do this.

Was just comparing some of the posters on GC threads where you really do get some nasty trolls but for the most part genuinely deluded ones whereas here they seem to rather phoning it in - stirring the pot but not really with any passion, just getting paid I presume.

The Mail has an article about Harry's talk to a Movember conference. Apparently he needed to cleanse himself from his past before he became a parent.

Someone in the comments pointed that this didn't include his title!

Well then, you simply have a load of parents with really poor judgement willing to expose their kids to aeroplane germs and forever exposure on social media. For what? To meet a “prince”. To become part of Meghan’s latest clothes merching enterprise (just launched using pictures of these kids)? Aren’t these exactly the sort of parents the Meghans are trying to teach responsible internet usage to?

I don't blame the parents. Hospital is a odd situation. You are letting the hospital give your child poison, with horrendous side effects and you trust that they know what they are doing.

If you are told that someone is going to attend your therapy sessions you do not then expect the image of your tube fed daughter with an eating disorder to be shared world wide.

The hospital had a duty of care towards these children.

Allowing a half naked child to cower in a buggy, allowing a mask wearing child to remove it for a photo, is failure from the hospital.

I can only assume the hospital also felt that the exposure would generate financial benefits. These children have been exploited, by the hospital and H&M.

That’s just so awful. I can’t imagine being that shallow.

Too true! 😂
I'm also intrigued that he got himself counselling to cope with new fatherhood. Yet when his pregnant wife was distraught by suicide ideation, he couldn't manage to get her any help at all.
What a terrible husband.

Just skimmed the story. Impossible to miss the inference/blatant dig at the King's distant parenting. When is Harry going to stop with the massive man-baby victim shilling?

elessar · 15/04/2026 08:05

I saw on the Reddit thread linked above that both Ed Sheeran and Queen Mary of Denmark visited the same hospital in the last few weeks, so I googled to see if the same thing happened.

both were billed as surprise visits, Ed Sheeran performed a short concert for them which must have been an amazing experience for the children (there are hundreds gathered around watching him). There’s some photos of him interacting with children afterwards but I couldn’t see any of him touching them, and most of the parents and staff are wearing masks.

Queen Mary’s visit looks even more “surprise” as she’s just in the lobby with people milling around her. She mostly interacts with the parents and staff, and is friendly but not grabbing on to anyone.

Both a very very different vibe from H&M’s visit, and neither appear to be being used as a self promotional event.

Wow. That is mercenary even by their grifter standards.

I thought it was interesting that Harry mentioned parenting from both parents. Was that a mistake?

As in everything he is doing it right and everyone else is wrong. I know someone like this and they are exhausting to be around.

Whilst I find Meghan frustrating, I can't imagine how tiring it must be being married to Harry. She basically has 3 children and the oldest is constantly offended and whiny.

I agree. I really don't know how she puts up with that petulant man child.

I don’t disagree. I am
in no doubt that there are all sorts of trust and duty of care issues at play here. But as a parent, I know I am ultimately responsible for something like this happening if I voluntarily involve my kids who are in no way able to give consent. That doesn’t absolve the hospital at all. They created the situation and exploited their own patients for cash.

Choux · 15/04/2026 08:12

I can’t copy paste the text but the bbc article has him contradicting himself so much re upgrades:
“Kids are our upgrades but I am not an upgrade on my dad and my kids are not an upgrade on me but kids need to be our upgrades”
So… is he saying he is failing to raise his kids well as they need to be an upgrade of him but aren’t?

Harry says children should be an 'upgrade' of their parents https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c93ee1dp93lo

His arrogance, entitlement, spite and venom are off the scale.
He's what, 41? Married, rich, two healthy children (🤞), free to travel and please himself.
Yet he's wallowing in self pity.
So none of this charity work has any impact on him whatsoever, because he never understands his good fortune and privilege.

No, it was all Catherine’s fault. Ask Omid.

I actually think the therapy session with the teens with eating disorders is one of the worst parts of this.

not least because in that situation you are so so vulnerable and self conscious about how you look and the last thing you need is to be exposed to the world in photos you cannot control.

But also I really think a stick thin LA celebrity who has had all manner of plastic surgery, and is highly likely to be using Ozempic to stay a certain weight, is just not a suitable role model to be exposing these young girls to particularly at this stage of their recovery. Although eating disorders are very complex things, in many cases what triggers them in the first place is the constant media noise around physical size and beauty and your worth in the world in relation to that. Someone who represents the very epitome of that superficial world is not somebody who should be interacting with these girls.

Oh my god, that is so true! They said the Palace's grey suits blocked her getting help for suicidal thoughts, but he was allowed to chat to a therapist about not being attached to her bump?

OctopusFriend · 15/04/2026 08:14

I'd hate to see what a downgrade looked like 😂
