Oh goodness ! That’s an embarrassment! Wonder if he willmdefend himself or seek to settle out of court!

StormGazing · 11/04/2026 06:11

Good! I hope they do an in-depth investigation into everything around Harry and his interactions with Sentebale … I suspect many skeletons are lurking behind the scenes

Starseeking · 11/04/2026 06:21

Based on all the press at the time this was going on, I would imagine there are some pretty damning emails in existence that Harry is unlikely to want to be made public. My guess is that this case will be settled out of court once both sides have seen the evidence being presented.

Recklessismymiddlename · 11/04/2026 06:33

Which Harry will present as a win no doubt.

shockthemonkey · 11/04/2026 07:30

The statement from Harry is itself further defamation! Sentebale have been crystal clear that the action is being funded externally, and no charity money is being used!

😏

QueenOfHertz · 11/04/2026 07:40

I hope Charles aka us the taxpayer, is not paying his legal bills.

Yes, I don't understand why Harry's statement comments on charity funds being used when Sentebale's statement says it isn't the case. How ridiculous of them. It makes it look like they haven't bothered to read the statement in the first place.

Aur0raAustralis · 11/04/2026 08:03

Presumably they're hoping that people will only read their statement.

Mylovelygreendress · 11/04/2026 08:04

Great timing just before the Australian jolly .

AllJoyAndNoFun · 11/04/2026 08:17

i am not a Harry fan ( quite the opposite in fact) but nobody looks good here. It was obvious to anyone working in the sector that the charity was dead in the water from a funding perspective as soon as the toxic shitshow kicked off last year. No foundation or corporate funder is going to touch it and they’ve killed the golden goose ( the polo event) before lining up reliable new funding flows. While what the chair was seemingly trying to do ( localise leadership, diversify funding flows) was pretty mainstream and sensible strategy, how she went about it ( piss of existing funders, spend $500k on consultants to find new ones) was mind boggling. They should just shut it down and all move on and reflect on how they might have handled it better and how voluntary roles shouldn’t be all about you.

AllJoyAndNoFun · 11/04/2026 08:23

What I’m saying is that I imagine this latest development reflects the fact that the charity is struggling to attract funders and has attributed that to H bad mouthing them but I think it’s obvious that the whole original spat, which was enthusiastically played out in public by both sides, achieved that all by itself so they’re all equally to blame

Right right and right

Recklessismymiddlename · 11/04/2026 08:49

From what I recall (and I’m sure someone will be along, to correct me if I’m wrong), Harry made a statement first and then Sentebale issued theirs in defence.

damemaggiescurledupperlip · 11/04/2026 09:09

I’m another who wonders whether this is all to deflect from the fact that the charity isn’t doing well. It’s tempting to pin that blame on toxic Harry , but maybe he was not entirely wrong in his concerns about the new direction?

I agree with the above^^

I can’t say I took to the new chair at all and think there is more to this than meets the eye.

Besides another Harry-bashing thread is pretty boring.

From what I recall (and I’m sure someone will be along, to correct me if I’m wrong), Harry made a statement first and then Sentebale issued theirs in defence.

The timeline was:

Harry and Prince Seeiso made a public statement in 25 March 2025 announcing they had resigned from Sentabale, leading to global coverage and a social media storm.

In the next two days there were very pro-Harry pieces in People magazine (a publication which we know Harry emails directly) and them from UK journalist Bryony Gordon (again, close to Harry).

On 31 March Sophie Chandsuka was interviewed by Trevor Phillips.

Recklessismymiddlename · 11/04/2026 09:53

Yes so Harry was first, so to speak. Didn’t really leave Dr Chandsuka much choice but to defend herself.

Lockupyourbiscuits · 11/04/2026 09:55

But what if there is strong evidence someone was sabotaging?
If there is I can understand why they won’t let it drop
I hope there isn’t as that would be a terrible thing to do

Harry and Meghan NEVER let the truth get in the way of a good bunch of lies …. Sorry ‘their truth’

Hadn’t the Chair already self-reported (quietly) her governance concerns to the Charity Commission in February 2025? I thought that was the trigger for the initial resignations and Harry statement, unless I’m misremembering?

Pleasealexa · 11/04/2026 10:24

The fallout started in April 2024 with polo match trophy shuffle MM clearly wanted all the limelight and relationships around her always end destructively. Just shows how the RF propped up Harry's image for years.

It's seemingly for a charity to sue so they have either been subjected to intense backlash or there are narcissistic people in charge.

this is the only thing im holding out on, if Harry did indeed attempt too sabotage sentebale then he ought to be openly shamed and dealt with

YourBreezyPanda · 11/04/2026 10:32

so Sophie spent 500k on consulting and is now using private funds that could be funnelled to sentebale to sue.. ok 👍🏾

I think you’ll find litigation funders insist their capital is spent solely on litigation, actually!
