This is a bit of a ridiculous assessment based on facial appearance alone.

I knew a set of non-identical twins who looked completely different, as if they could have been from different families entirely.

If you want a more public example, look up Lucy and Maria Aylmer... twins, so they are definitely from the same father. But they look completely different.

Fun fact that Philip gave a DNA sample when Russians found the bodies of the Russian royal family- Philip’s mother and the tsar’s wife were related.

This won't be a popular comment, but if I'm being honest, he was quite good looking when he was young - certainly the best looking of the siblings.

ETA and things do jump about families like that. Look at Charlotte and Lady Sarah Chatto as a child. There are quite a few sources putting their photos side by side, yet they aren't all that close on a family tree.

I think he looks far more like George I of Greece, Philips grandfather, than Porchester.

i think it’s the chubbier face that makes many say he’s more like porchester than Philip, but that’s just eating more than actual face shape - he’s bigger than Philip was at any point. Plus the fact he’s not got the same level of baldness/combover.

Even before he was heavier, he never had the longer thinner face of the others. He was handsome when young, no denying it.

A pity we can’t get a dna test? Why? How does it affect you? Yes I would be disappointed if I learnt the late Queen was a cheat, but it doesn’t affect me so I don’t really need to know. Maybe someone would say it is a pity they can’t get a dna test to prove your child’s parentage.

Yes, I was going to say - Philip's DNA has been taken in relation to the Russian Royal Family, and should therefore be available for any investigation (in theory)

I'm really not seeing that Porchy (aka a later Lord Carnarvon than the Tutankhamun one) and Andrew look like "twins" though. (As opposed to Harry and the son of that bloke Diana was rumoured to have had an affair with, and no, not James Hewitt). Yes, there are rumours that old Liz had a fling with old friend Porchy, and who would blame her given Phil's proclivities? But I also really don't think she'd have risked an actual pregnancy from another man. Misguided she may have been at times (esp re both her husband and Andrew) but I think she would have taken that pretty seriously - although I guess the line of succession was with her and not her husband.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Phil had "extra issue" though. I wonder what Andrew Lownie's next book will reveal. Always very suss that Phil's will was conveniently "locked" from public view for 100 years. I hope that can be rescinded.
