The royal family

Is ANDREW really Prince Phillips son.

I have thought of this for a while.
Charles, Anne and Edward have longer faces while Andrew has more of a roundish face.
Pity an DNA test can't be done.
Rumours used to go round that one of the queen's race horse trainers might be his father.

This thread is bizarre!! , I was glad it had become dormant, no idea why it was resurrected!
andrew is clearly the son of the late queen and Phillip, just as Harry is clearly the son of Diana and Charles!!

I think logic isn't strong on these kind of threads.
Some people think The Crown is factual, remember 🙄

So a military man in his 60s was giving this gossip about the Queen's marriage to a teenage girl?

was not in military then, and we were talking in a group chatting at work, I was interested for a different reason relevant to me not PP which is why we got onto subject. Believe it, or dont, I dont really care 🤷 . He had no reason to lie and I have no reason to disbelieve what he said.

DelectableMe · 26/05/2026 17:35

I myself am the love child of a well known senior politician and a minor royal.

Maybe she was "recounting factually".
Maybe she wasn't.
He said/she said.

Christine keeler? Profumo Affair keeler?
the proof on this thread is very amusing! 🤣

Right.
Maybe when he was there he was jealous of Philip who was so handsome, charismatic and athletic.

Yes, Prince Philip was Profumo in disguise!
Also, he was the original Phantom of the Opera on the West End stage. A former bus driver told me this when I was in a café in 1975.

When was he there though? What year was it when he was 60?

Far more plausible! 👍
Philip was gorgeous then. The late Queen often spoke of how happy they were in Malta, before all the duties took over.

HolidayHideaway · 26/05/2026 17:49

Ofc PP is A’s father.

On Keeler she just recounts PP & friends socialising with girls post club. They were dancers. Nothing scandalous. Points to diff mores of time, it was 60s after all.

If you mean with John Brown, then she wouldn't have been 'having an affair' as she was widowed by then, and he was unmarried. And historians who think that the two did have a sexual relationship speculate that, as Scottish marriage customs were far looser, they possibly had an 'irregular' marriage. Obviously we don't know for sure, but there's actually quite a lot of evidence they had an intensely attached and romantic, if not actually sexual, relationship for the best part of 20 years -- we know that she asked for mementoes of him as well as Albert to be placed in her coffin after death, that contemporary politicans in her cabinet were horrified at her indiscretions with him, that her advisors talked her out of publishing a memoir about him after his death, that her daughters and early biographers destroyed much of her correspondence to and about him to preserve a dignified asexual image of the monarch.

My late husband's dad was a Balmoral estate worker, as was DH for a while. .

It was well known that the statue that QV had erected to John Brown's memory was moved to a less prominent position because of the Royal Family's disapproval of JB, whatever the exact nature of the relationship.

Andrew looks very much like the late Queen. His daughter B looks very much like Queen Victoria. All of his siblings resemble their parents in different ways but they are not at all like each other.

Prince Philip was extremely handsome but none of his children are strikingly good looking.

It’s amazing how the same genes configure themselves in different combinations.

MillyTheale · 27/05/2026 08:25

Vroomfondleswaistcoat · 26/05/2026 17:26

I thought Victoria had a prolapse which would have made sex very difficult and painful?

I've got five kids and their looks are widely different - only one has blue eyes for a start! They all DEFINITELY have the same father, but some look more like my family, some like their dad's and they've also got a mix of cousins and grandparents in there too.

As I understand it, we don’t know when she had the prolapse — if it was at or just after the birth of her last child, or much later in life. Anyway, I don’t think PIV sex is necessarily some kind of hard and fast rule for a sexual/romantic relationship, is it?

I mean, I have no skin in the game of the whole ‘Mrs Brown’ thing at all, but I do think it’s interesting that she’s largely remembered as a rigidly ‘correct’ and prim window, when in RL she seems to have been keen on sex and passionately devoted to Arthur at least.

That's the interesting bit for me. Not the RF.

Who is Arthur?

I’ve just seen that there’s a PR podcast talking about “dark forces” setting out to besmirch TLQ’s reputation…..Haven’t listened, but here it is if anyone’s interested.https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002wvfg

Listened to that earlier. I don’t find it as interesting now Simon Lewis has gone. My mind wanders and I can’t even remember what was discussed.
