I thought evidence had to be disclosed to both sides in advance?

The prosecutor has to in a criminal trial but not the defence. The defence doesn’t have to help the prosecution prove them guilty. If the prosecutor doesn’t know you were at the scene of the crime you don’t have to tell them.

Not even if you plan to say so in the trial?

Thank you. It was quite harrowing. Hugh Grant (and Steve Coogan) was mentioned by Prosecution in opening speech but might not be further until my closing speech at the end of the week.

Sadly an innocent party was mentioned by name when there was absolutely no need. I had a rant at the Prosecution outside court. He dismissed it as of no importance as after he had named the party, he made an application not to allow reporting on it - but everyone has already heard it and it should have been done before. There are so many other mistakes - it makes a mockery of the justice system.

My Daily Mail journalist was listening in via CVP Link and has checked up on me (DM has a heart).

That is very frustrating.

Is there any reporting of the case, or is that not expected until the end of the weeK?

DM has suggested a full story at the end as there are a lot of other issues in the public interest.

Thank you for your messages. I cannot comment on the case until proceedings reach the point where I can - but the first complainant has started to give evidence so I can say who it is.

My daughter, and she was Hugh Grant’s personal assistant at the height of the phone-hacking scandal with the News of The World.

He knows she was leaking his private Information - and he obviously knows who I am.

She received money from me (£250k) which she stated today was a gift.

So this is clearly how you were able to say earlier on the threads that HG's circle leaked information, @GwendolineFairfax8.

I think I will start the next thread, as we are so close to this one being full. That means we'll have room to discuss @GwendolineFairfax8's case while waiting for the results of the ANL case.
