Sarah Ferguson - just as bad as Andrew?

So whilst Epstein was serving house arrest following his conviction for sex trafficking young girls, Fergie sent him messages - from the BBC:

Some emails in the latest release appear to be between Epstein and Sarah Ferguson, Andrew's ex-wife.
One email dated 4 April 2009, was signed "Love, Sarah, The red Head.!!"
It says that she was going to be in Palm Beach and wanted to have tea. The email goes on to discuss ideas for Ferguson's company, Mother's Army. The former Duchess of York refers to Epstein as "My dear spectacular and special friend Jeffrey".
She calls him a "legend" and says "I am so proud of you".
The financier was still under house arrest for his 2008 conviction when the email exchange was sent.

Ignoring the money she took and questionable business arrangements, ignoring Andrews behaviour even (that's in another thread). How can any woman, who knows this man is trafficking young girls, act like this?

Please tell me she no longers receives any sort of public funding/housing from the tax payer?

I don't think one is better or worse than the other. I think they are both morally bankrupt and corrupt in their own ways. They have both played in the proverbial pigsty and they are covered in mud. They both had everything that many people aspire to in life: wealth, popularity, admiration, security and a lifestyle beyond compare and they are both such bottomless voids that it wasn't enough for them. They only have themselves to blame.

Is that the correct link? - just asking as the article linked is 14 years old.

Oh didn’t check, popped up on X. That will teach me.

ThePoshUns · 24/02/2026 09:49

the conversation on X is saying that her charity should be rebooked at as in 2008 she was very close to Epstein. What was she doing in those orphanages?!

According to the latest Closer magazine, Sarah is in floods of tears and having panic attacks after the AMW arrest

Hence fleeing to Switzerland

https://closeronline.co.uk/celebrity/news/sarah-ferguson-meltdown-andrew-arrest/

She is just panicking over who will bankroll her. She might also be a tad worried about what else will come out.

Needaglowup · 26/02/2026 15:11

Fergie and Andrew are two of the same , that’s why they were still together , their normalise each other behaviours , the same way, alcoholics and drug addicts normalise their addiction, as well as abuses .. they all keep in their groups

deeahgwitch · 26/02/2026 17:59

Apparently she is in the north west of Ireland, in Donegal now 🙄

What is the point here - to generate sympathy? It’s absolutely bullshit.

Is she having this meltdown / panic attack etc just because he has been arrested? Did none of the predatory, repeated raping of a sex trafficked teenager move her to tears - over the last 10 years?

At another luxury spa that she has plugged in the past. So it seems being homeless for Fergie is one long spa holiday. When will she start a gofundmespa?

^ This. 100%.
Probably desperately searching for some mug to carry on funding her profligate lifestyle.
Of course, she’s homeless now isn’t she? Hence a series of stays at extremely expensive places, all free.
Hideous woman and complete waste of space.

I think she would put herself in any situation where she can sponge money and attention. Both her and Andrew are literal pigs in throughs

pigs are innocent creatures. andrew and sarah are not

The problem with Fergie is that I don't think she does phenomenally foolish things out of spite. It's her personality. So she probably is super stressed out right now. Andrew was an arm of support for her. Likely she is devastated.

I have a greatly misplaced stubborn soft spot for her and I'm finding it tough to see her as wicked as some of the others associated with Epstein. Mind you I haven't read the full Lownie book, just a few excerpts, so possibly reading the full thing would snap me out if it.

Right now, I tend to think her insatiable desire for money (which I think must be a complex arising from her childhood) made her overlook very scummy and downright evil people and cross lines. But I don't think her sense of boundaries has ever been firm. She was the first Royal to ever appear on Oprah which she did several times, and she was quite reflective, and not egotistical if I recall correctly. She did seem humble at that time and garnered a lot of sympathy. The weight watchers thing was a success. She really could have had a good life had she not been led by her personal weaknesses.

AmazingGraced · 26/02/2026 22:19

I think Sarah is very stupid and emotionally immature unfortunately.

You should check out some of her old interviews in the US on youtube. She totally threw Virginia Giuffre under the bus, condemning her for spreading "salacious" stories about the "honourable" Andrew and bemoaning these terrible women who just want to pull down these fabulous men.

That is so interesting and I agree with some of it. I think her Oprah interviews and her book after she left the royal family was so me me me, it was unbelievable pity party. There is a tiny part of me that feels a little bit sorry for her because she is so unbelievably crass grabby and irritating that I can only imagine she has some sort of personality disorder.
However, I only how to remind myself of what I read in the book about her and that sympathy vanishes. It's crazy to think she is incapable of ANY self reflection really

No but she was begging Epstein to make her his front of house manager and suggesting he marry her. Fully aware of what he was doing. She would have been helping him to procure and abuse women.

Lalgarh · 26/02/2026 23:21

There were reports that she was being used as a go between with Andrew to fix up oil deals with China, with a persistent topic of cooking up money spinning deals for her

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-15528455/Andrew-Epstein-dodge-investment-rules-fishy-debt-Sarah-Ferguson-sell-Nigerian-oil-China.html

So yes gallumphing and gormless, but also utterly venal and with her persistent connections with Epstein, increasingly complicit. I mean, bloody hell, you'd think espionage involves suave femme fatales and elegant men but actually it's more like grasping posh idiots grabbing at cash like it's a game of hungry hippos

Andrew and Epstein plotted to dodge investment rules

Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein discussed how to get around investment rules - while the prince's idea for his ex-wife to sell Nigerian oil to China was denounced by even their own friend and adviser

Right. People like this don’t see things for what they are in the moment: it’s just a bunch of friends and comrades coming to mutually beneficial arrangements, breaking bread together, going on holiday together, laughing and partying. There was nobody telling them what was what, not in the palace nor in the civil service. Hell they probably thought they were doing the public a favour by not sponging off the public purse and getting their money from private and personal endeavours. Hence the shock and outrage when they got busted.

Some of them did know, though. Different crimes and misdemeanors, different levels of criminality, in different arenas and different countries with different people. But they all had the same thing in common.
