Another new story on Andrew today. Photo's have emerged showing that on Epstein's desk, there were emails regarding Epstein paying debts owed by Andrew/Sarah to staff:

Why on Earth was a Prince of England having his staff paid by a sex trafficker?
Doesn't seem "too honourable" to me.

Epstein Had Emails from Staff of Ex-Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson on His Desk in Newly Shared Photos

New photos from Jeffrey Epstein's New York home appear to show an email exchange between former staffers for ex-Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.

Wait.

Epstein has a son?

In her memoirs, Virginia Guiffre said the final straw for her to leave was Epstein and Maxwell lining her up to act as a surrogate for their baby

People make much of 'Erskine May', saying that it prevents discussion about the Royal Family. If you actually read the text, it simply prevents discussing them as a side issue in some other debate - it lays out how RF issues should be discussed, with the government allocating time. This government has simply refused to do so

I have read it and you're right, @bluegreygreen

However you're also right that Parliament's clearly determined not to act, which is why for some of us the only possible solution is to have an elected HoS who can be got rid of if necessary

I can understand that, @Puzzledandpissedoff, and it's a very valid viewpoint. I'm always happy to see you discussing things on threads.

Where I become frustrated is where people spread disinformation, which is then taken as truth by others who haven't checked.

And, logically, of course, the fact that the government is not taking its responsibility seriously is not an indictment of the other half of the constitutional structure.

Serenster · 01/02/2026 14:37

Mandelson is even claiming the documents mentioning him receiving payments in 2003 and 4 are "unverified"

Has he taken a position on the photo of the man who looks a lot like him, standing wearing a shirt and underpants talking to a woman in a dressing gown? The New York Post are reporting it is Peter Mandelson in the photo.,,.

bluegreygreen · 01/02/2026 14:58

One thing I have come across that is interesting and worth noting.

The press release put out by the Department of Justice at the time it released the files states:
This production may include fake or falsely submitted images, documents or videos, as everything that was sent to the FBI by the public was included in the production that is responsive to the Act.

Probably not likely to be relevant to Andrew (the following sentences refer to malicious claims against Trump pre 2020 election) but it hadn't occurred to me that images have not been checked for veracity - everything is included.

And he's still being looked after 😡

Story in DM today about workers installing security fences and Sky TV at the manor house being lavishly renovated for him.

Will try and link later when I have more time.

that man needs to be on trial. I am American and we have more than our share of very serious issues atm so glass houses, I know. But it boggles my mind the the royal family still have such priviledge in GB.

I daresay it’s just another version of Epstein’s ‘house arrest’.

TheAutumnCrow · 01/02/2026 15:09

I think one thing the UK government/parliament can do, and very soon, is to unseal the documents relating to Andrew’s time as a Trade Envoy.

And the US could release all the documents relating to Epstein’s ‘sweetheart deal of the century’ in 2008.

You're not alone, Crankyaboutfood; it boggles the mind of plenty of we Brits too

I'm on a ship with loads of Americans right now and keep being asked by incredulous people why we put up with this hideous system ... only wish I had a real answer Confused

Edited to add good luck with that, @theautumncrow ... and risk others being implicated??

Yes - I think this should definitely be done

I would think the photos are likely to be genuine, but not ALL the statements made will be true. Some of the more lurid stories are not entirely convincing IMO without further support.

Edited

The American system has been equally shown to be lacking in checks and balances in the let few years.

The basic problem is that power protects power. Andrew was named first becauase he had the least power. I don't expect to see any more prosecutions or anyone else called much to account. Nearly everyone named so far is a past power not a present one. I shudder to think who is being victimised by the present crop of people like Andrew and Mandelson.

I try to be optimistic but work around safeguarding for any length of time and you realise that a lot of those who should be protecting others are complicit.

@Puzzledandpissedoff

I have also been asked why the UK puts up with the above the law Windsors and the system surrounding them. Anyone who mixes with other nationalities socially or professionally must experience this.

I was asked many years ago, long before the Andrew scandal , about the Windsors claiming the seabed. I was totally unaware of this issue and others and I remain staggered that someone from another European country was aware of this.
Educated people look askance at the UK .

I’ve always been a republican but it was instinctive. I was unaware of details .

I had another Spanish acquaintance point out issues with the impartiality of the BBC and I cringe remembering how I thought BBC standards were high. The scales have since fallen from my eyes , most particularly during mournathon .

simpsonthecat · 01/02/2026 18:00

The BBC gets it wrong lots of times. When Phillip died, they immediately blocked and changed all programming for all their TV and radio channels. They had 110,000 complaints, the most there had ever been in the history of the BBC. How pathetic, we're not all flag waving royalists.

Indigovelvet · 01/02/2026 18:09

What an obnoxious dick head. We always knew it but didn't know why. Now we know. He has a dark mind. Very dark.

Agreed.

They also rolled over for the royals when they agreed to grant a perpetuity edit to the Palace in respect of E2's funeral and C3's coronation meaning the Palace can dictate certain sequences never be shown again.

Nauseating behaviour from our national broadcasting service.

You don't need to be a republican to have major issues with the standard of BBC reporting. You just need to look at a range of media outputs and notice what they don't report, and how they report what they do.

MidWayThruJanuary · 01/02/2026 22:59

I wonder what is being said to the older children in the family - George, Savannah and Isla must be absolutely aware of what is going on, probably Charlotte and Mia too.
I remember when Diana’s interview was broadcast it was reported that 13 year old William watched it in his housemaster’s study - it must have been excruciating for him.

redboxer321 · 01/02/2026 12:12

Drugs paraphernalia I'm guessing.

What I always wonder about Andrew is what does he get out of riding horses?
In any photo I see the horse is just walking. Maybe that's the best time to get a snap rather when he's at full canter. He's supposed to be a bit of an adrenaline junkie or at least appears to have an appetite for risk and yet he sits on a horse while it walks which is the most boring thing ever. I find it most bizarre.

I know Anne and Zara used to do eventing and Harry, William and Charles play or played polo and I'm totally against those sports but I can see the appeal but walking around the estate on a horse. Just why?

So he can look down on people.
Maybe.

Not surprised Harry and Meghan checked out.

But they get a pilla shite on here.

MrMischief · 02/02/2026 03:58

Andrew has had the look of a depraved man for a long time. Why the hell anyone thought it was ok for him to be a trade envoy. It’s all corrupt. Is there a petition to unseal the documents from his time as trade envoy?

I hope Harry makes a statement disowning Andrew. He is most able to do so. It might upset the ugly sister cousins, but they ought to be joining in disowning their parents too.

I'm on a ship with loads of Americans right now and keep being asked by incredulous people why we put up with this hideous system ... only wish I had a real answer

I love a cruise and usually fly to the States and board the ship from there. I’ve never once been asked about the RF despite being sociable, happy to chat and keep company with people I meet along the way.

have also been asked why the UK puts up with the above the law Windsors and the system surrounding them. Anyone who mixes with other nationalities socially or professionally must experience this

I live a life that involves a lot of travel and I live in a very cosmopolitan society. In fact the school some of my grandchildren go to has a student and staff population from 97 different countries. I also have a good amount of international businessmen/woman visit my home as guests. I don’t live where I grew up and I consider myself a world citizen. I can count on one hand the amount of times in my adult life people have asked me about the RF and when they did it was when Diana and the late Queen died.
