Online, people are pointing out that a very expensive cashmere jumper that Meg wore on suits, also made its way to her wardrobe

It’s been nothing but PR disasters of late.

What I have noticed which is curious - is that the UK tabloids are not running with P6 story about the dress. Just like they avoided talking about the NY car chase. They only reported on the media frenzy. But, we know Harry sent out some sort of memo not to publish photos etc. None of the UK press did. Now Meg has acknowledged the stolen dress story and released an official refute ….and none of the UK press are even reporting on that?

That’s weird. They will literally print any old Meg story to get clicks…..but not this one???

Considering the number of people who are no contact with members of their family Meghan is not unusual if she didn't know her Father was ill. Neither he or his son seem particularly pleasant and i suspect her relationship with them has been complex and difficult way before she met Harry. It's one area where I'm not inclined to blame Meghan for staying away. I remember all the press he got after the wedding and thinking that his choice to communicate through the press was unwise.

Oh good God, today I tried to report an issue for a tenant (I work in supported living) and as well as DOB I had to provide NI number and date of tenancy. Just to get a light fixed ..

I have found doctors to be far more understanding! They understand capacity issues and best interests.

Whether she knew that TM was ill, she does now.

She’s in an unenviable position. She obviously doesn’t want any contact with TM. However, if the illness is genuine and TM’s time is short, she will look very hard hearted if she doesn’t make peace with him. And without wishing to be indelicate, there will be the final arrangements.

As ever, there has been no forethought, this day was always going to come.

It seems odd that she has chosen now to "reach out" via her staff as she didn't contact him when he had a heart attack just before her wedding in 2018 or when he had a major stroke in 2022.

Agree with this. Setting aside all her other behaviours, it's a horrible position to be in. If she doesn't contact him she'll be criticised, if she does she'll be criticised. I hope they manage to negotiate this in some way that works for the whole family without too much fallout.

It's almost like the gods conspire against her.

Judging by the tiny amount I've seen on TT, the SS don't believe he's unwell and that she should ignore him.

Family relationships are so complex, but from what we've seen (& I admit we won't have the full picture) I can't see what he's done that so bad. Yet, stupid, yes hurtful, but it's nothing that H&M haven't done themselves to others.

They certainly love the use of the word ‘global’.

Global impact, global stage, global press spokesperson, key global players, global leadership, global globalisation, global globiness. They give the globe so much. <genuflects>

In reality I suspect very few, other than nannies and domestic help.

They can't afford them and there wouldn't be anything for them to do.

Global is another one of those really dated words they love.

With the internet, everything is 'global'. This post could potentially be 'global'!

Maybe Aide = Harry ringing the hospital with a fake accent pretending to be her aide?

Sometimes, a tad disappointingly, it’s merely wearing frocks and stuff for ‘key moments on the world stage’, not on a global platform.
