As ever, WLM, PR disasters continued

Online, people are pointing out that a very expensive cashmere jumper that Meg wore on suits, also made its way to her wardrobe

It’s been nothing but PR disasters of late.

What I have noticed which is curious - is that the UK tabloids are not running with P6 story about the dress. Just like they avoided talking about the NY car chase. They only reported on the media frenzy. But, we know Harry sent out some sort of memo not to publish photos etc. None of the UK press did. Now Meg has acknowledged the stolen dress story and released an official refute ….and none of the UK press are even reporting on that?

That’s weird. They will literally print any old Meg story to get clicks…..but not this one???

The articles on this issue are mainly American.

I use those coloured sugar ones a lot too! I have them in single colours so I can choose combinations. I’m just interested that all kinds of sprinkles seem universally despised on here

There are seen more as fun and perhaps aimed more at kids - not an upmarket item. I like them and if we have them in they go on cakes as decoration. MN can be snobby about many common items.

Where are you getting that from? The only criticism I have seen is of flower sprinkles used where flower sprinkles don't belong; especially ones that are less akin to your Middle Eastern rose petals or English country garden fragrant lavender, and more like dried hamster food. I haven't see anyone criticise edible glitter or hundreds and thousands.

Justdancevance · 05/12/2025 16:06

I’m all for sprinkles but in the right context, Meghan just seems to liberally add sprinkles as her USP without any consideration of whether they compliment the item.

My cousins chocolate shows the origin of her beans and she does single origin chocolate. She does add things to it too, but considered things

I’m guessing

caviar with sprinkles
oysters with sprinkles
‘like how the RF love them’ in her next show.

Beecher's makes a good cheddar. Maytag specializes in blue cheese but also makes good cheddar. I send Maytag as a gift. Cabot also is good. I've had wheels of aged Vermont cheddar that are great.

Aged Vermont sound delicious. in the days when I spent time in the USA (last time 15 years ago) the only cheese I ever saw in supermarkets (and even the smaller delis I visited) was processed and (apart from Monteray Jack) didn't even have a name.

I once made an ice bowl with rose petals in it, to hold homemade rose water ice cream (do i need to add i was a student at the time!).

I have never used flower sprinkles although I do buy iced fairy cakes from a shop that uses them. I don't object to the flower sprinkles in themselves it's the fact that she puts them in everything:
Shortbread - ok that is sort of like cake I get that
Bath salts - that makes sense although i feel I'd emerge wet with flower bits stuck everywhere
Turkey glaze, wine, chocolate - there she loses me.

I understand wanting to showcase her limited range of products but I'm not sure flower sprinkles go well with chocolate and i definitely wouldn't eat raspberry and salt chocolate.

I feel the same way about the spread being added to wine.

Things have changed. My local supermarket has 6 varieties of imported feta, some organic. Different USA and UK and Irish cheddars. Trader Joes has a very affordable cheese section.

Just so long as it's not Tillamook!! Shock

I once stayed in Oregon near their factory and came across an advert:
"Created in England and perfected here at Tillamook"

My then-husband went berserk ...

😂😂😂I don't blame him! McAdams and Cabot are fine East Coast cheeses. I think they are better than Tillamook.

Yes. And I have never seen anyone on these threads "despise" them. They are not the same thing as dried flower hamster chow at all!

Well quite! , I don’t recall seeing anyone saying they “despise” Meghans dried flower sprinkles either! Rather more that they are either …boring…over used….over priced….from a previous decade! 🤷‍♀️

My view is that sprinkling flower sprinkles on some UPF nastiness to "elevate" it is the equivalent to rolling a turd in glitter. Just make something nice, for heaven's sake! No amount of crap thrown on top is going to make up for a badly executed dish or bake.

I agree, without wishing to sound like a miserable bugger , pouring extremely runny “spread” in everything and on anything gives me the 🙄😬 too! 🤷‍♀️

I gather this company did a "collaboration" with HBO for White Lotus. It's not exactly an artisan chocolatier.

We bought some bars from a shop in Belgium recently, 9EUR each, chocolate percentage and all organic etc.

Not only did they actually make them in the shop but they used chocolate they had grown themselves so you could see the whole process from start to finish.

It was worth it especially as you can try all the chocs before buying
