I agree with you.
The underlying issue connecting all of H&M's failures is a fundamental inability to listen to advice whether it comes from family, friends, palace officials, Spotify execs, Netflix execs, etc.
H was an employee in a family business where everything was done by professionals, and H had no real responsibilities. M had a minor role on a cable TV show produced in Toronto.
There is a vast chasm between those roles and the role of a Hollywood big budget TV/movie/podcast producer which entails creative (developing show, guiding content), logistics (hiring and managing writers, cast crew, etc. location, sets, equipment) and financial (get funding, manage budget to avoid overruns).
And in the field of business any founder has to hire and manage a skilled team as the business grows. H&M's high employee turnover speaks for itself.
I do not understand how two people who know so little constantly override family, friends and professionals who are only trying to help them.
